Abstract

The objective of the study is to describe the factors which influence the dehumanization on the teaching learning process at 8th grade students in MTs. Al-Azhar Tuwel. The population of this study were 158 students which were all 8th graders in MTs. Al-Azhar Tuwel in the academic year of 2014/2015. It used proportional cluster random sampling for 25%, or there were 40 students as the samples. The data were collected by documentation, observation and questionnaire with Guttmant scale. Then, the data were classified by two techniques; quantitative and qualitative data which influence the learning of Social Science for getting the conclusion more easily.  Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that dehumanization on the teaching and learning process in MTs. Al-Azhar Tuwel was high enough. The influence of dehumanization factors on the teaching and learning process were teaching method for 77.9%, curriculum factor for 85%, teacher-student relationship for 63.7%, student-teacher relationship for 67.5%, school discipline for 75.4%, homework for 65.4%, school time for 63.7%, learning equipment for 70.8%, over-standard lesson for 81% and building condition for 80%. The most dominant factor which influenced the dehumanization of teaching and learning process is curriculum for 85%. Therefore; teachers need to improve their competences and capabilities to create the more humanist teaching learning process which is appropriate to the goals of education. For achieving the goals, it is recommended for the schools administrators to improve the facilities and infrastructure for getting the more conducive teaching learning process with the representative space and facilities.

Abstract

This research aims to describe factors that influence dehumanization of teaching and learning processes. The population of this research was 158 students. The research used a proportional cluster random sampling and 40 students were analyzed as samples. Data were collected by using documentation, observation and questionnaire. The data then quantitatively and qualitatively classified due to the influence of teaching and learning factors on Social Science subject in order to draw the conclusion easily. Findings show that the influence of dehumanization factors on teaching and learning processes are teaching method by 77.9%, curriculum factor by 85%, teacher-student relationship by 63.7%, school discipline by 75.4%, homework by 65.4%, school time by 63.7%, learning equipment by 70.8%, over-standard lesson by 81% and building condition by 80%. The most dominant factor influencing the dehumanization of teaching and learning processes is curriculum by 85%. Thus, teachers are required to improve their competences and capabilities to create a more humanistic teaching learning processes which are more appropriate to the goals of education. In order to achieve the goals, it is recommended to the school administrators to improve the facilities and infrastructure for more conducive teaching and learning processes with more representative spaces and facilities.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of both partial and simultaneous motivation, creativity, and confidence of students in studying to economic subject learning autonomy of the students of Senior High School 4 Tegal. The population in this study was the whole class X Social Education Science which consists of 126 students. The data collection in this research was taken through several methods, whicha are observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The result of this study shows that 77.7% of learning motivation, learning creativity, and self-confidence simultaneously affect the learning autonomy of economics subject of Senior High School 4 Tegal. The results of this study are expected to enable teachers to foster learning motivation, learning creativity and self-confidence of the students in order to form the character of independence. Students are expected to not only rely on the subject matter given by the teachers, but they must be more active and independent in learning to expand a broad insight about economy.
