Abstract

Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi intensi berwirausaha siswa SMK  Program Studi Manajemen-Bisnis di Kabupaten Sleman. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 778 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 258 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi linier berganda. Uji hipotesis menemukan bahwa variabel kebutuhan akan berprestasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap intensi berwirausaha sebesar 57,49 (sig.0,000). Begitu pula kreatifitas sebesar 28,79 (sig.0,000); kemandirian sebesar 48,91 (sig. 0.006); keberanian mengambil risiko sebesar 16,75 (sig.0,000); toleransi keambiguan sebesar 17,32 (sig. 0,000); pengaruh orang tua sebesar 16,46 (sig.0,000) dan self efficacy sebesar 24,76 (sig.0,000) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap intensi berwirausaha. Pada uji F menemukan variabel kebutuhan akan berprestasi, kreativitas kemandirian, keberanian mengambil risiko, toleransi keambiguan, pengaruh orang tua dan self efficacy secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan  terhadap intensi berwirausaha dengan nilai 697,712 dan sig.0,000.Kata kunci: kebutuhan akan berprestasi, kreatifitas, kemandirian, toleransi keambiguan,pengaruh orang tua, self efficacy, intensi berwirausaha IMPROVING  ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTENTION ON VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTSAbstractThis thesis aim to found the factors affecting affecting the entrepreneurial of Vocational Students who take Business-Management Skill Program in  Sleman District. This research used a total number of 778 students with 258 sample students. The data collection technique that was used was questionnaires. For data analysis, dual regression technique was used. The hypothetical test shows that the need for achievement variable gives a positive effect towards entrepreneurial intention with 57.495 (sig.0.000) of t-calculation score. The same result also appears on the creativity variable with 28.796 (sig.0.000) of t-calculation score; independency with 48.918 (sig. 0.000) of t-calculation score; courage to take a risk with 16.751 (sig.0.000) of t-calculation score; tolerance of ambiguity with 17.322 (sig. 0.000) of t-calculation score; parents influence with 16.465 (sig.0.000) of t-calculation score; and self efficacy with 24.767 (sig.0.000) of t-calculation score. F test results show the need for achievement variable, creativity, independency, courage to take a risk, tolerance of ambiguity, parents influence, and self efficacy simultaneously give positive effect on entrepreneurial intention with 697.712 score and sig.0.000.Keywords: need for achievement, creativity, independency, courage to take a risk, tolerance of ambiguity, parents influence, self efficacy, entrepreneurial intention

Abstract

Developing fair and objective test had been developed in many ways, but hey would solve huge educational problem. Simulation study conducted by Hableton and Cook, inspired ths study to looked for evidence the effect of test length and sample size on robustness of item parameters estimation. This article gave more evidences in describing the effect of tst length and sample size on robustness of item parameters estimationin norm reference evaluation of item response theory.Hypothecical data used in this study was generated by DGEN applicatioan program. Test length was modeled in 15 and 55 items that represent short and long test form. The sample size effect was tested by three different sample sizee, 271, 605, and 1.999 to estimate 1,2,and 3 parameter according to the rule of thumb.

Abstract

This article aims to build paradigms, strategies, and stages of learning models that can reduce learning barriers. The learning process can benefit changes in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects for the better. This research was conducted because it saw the reality of the problem of low learning achievement. This was qualitative study employed induction approach. The analysis of generic analytic style employed as theory development. This research found an online independent learning model consisting of five stages: preparation, exploration, verification, analysis, and reflection called PEVAR. Techno self online learning PEVAR offers a technology-based self-study alternative. Techno self online learning PEVAR is built based on the paradigm of behaviorism, constructivism, and cognitive. This learning model increases learning achievement, which is marked by increasing students' affective, cognitive, and psychomotor abilities. The strategies used to achieve the goals are commitment, discipline, motivation, confidence, creativity, activity, effectiveness, and efficiency in learning.

Abstract

This study will be discussed related to the professionalism of teachers after certification, the efforts made to develop the professionalism of teachers, and the impact of certification policy on the quality of education. This research subject is accounting certified teacher with a population of 7 informants, and informants are the principal supporter and 3 learners. This research method is a descriptive qualitative approach, with this type of case studies. Collecting data using the model interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques to 1) Data collection 2) reduction of data 3) data presentation 4) conclusion / verification. The results showed that 1) accounting certified teachers have a good level of professionalism. The teacher can understand the characteristics of students, mastering both subject areas of a scientific or educational field, is able to organize teaching well, mastering the material in depth, mastering the technology and professionalism are able to develop in a sustainable manner. 2) the efforts of teachers to develop professionalism is with workshops, seminars, training, training, writing books, looking for a new regulation, to follow the teacher association continues studies to improve the qualifications and buy gadgets as supporting tools in learning. 3) certification of a positive impact on the quality of education. It is suggested that could be given to teachers, namely that the purpose of the certification is not to get professional allowance alone, but that teachers can master the competence of teachers well and make teachers more professional in carrying out his profession. Professional allowances simply as a consequence of this capability.

Abstract

This research is intended to show another proxy of government performance measurement from the capital market data. This research also is directed to compare the differences of company financing between Mega and SBY era, to examine the relationship of company financing and company profitability, and to interpret profoundly the results using the capital market data. Data were gathered from the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) starting from 2001 up to 2006. Geometric mean was used to profoundly trace the influence of presidential leadership era and to balance financial data between Mega (2001 – 2003) and SBY era (2005). Hypotheses were confirmed by employing paired sample t test and linear regression analysis. This research draws three main conclusions. Firstly, collateral ratio and equity to total assets ratio are significantly different between Mega era and SBY era. Nevertheless, there is no significant difference in current liabilities to total assets, long-term liabilities to total assets, capital structure, and return on assets between Mega and SBY era. Secondly, current liabilities to total assets and long-term liabilities to total assets have a negative and significance influence to company’s profitability. Lastly, equity to total assets has a positive and significant effect on company’s profit. Findings are discussed to provide possibility factors behind the financing issue.

Abstract

Keberhasilan rnahasiswa daIarn proses bell\iar rnengajar rnenjadi acuan daIarn penyelenggaraanpendidikan. Berbagai upayadilakukan untuk rnenemukan faktor pernicu (triggeringfactor) keberhasilan rnahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji ernpiris apakah pengalaman rnengajar (teaching experience), jenjang pendidikan (education level), dan partisipasi dalam proses pengarnbilan keputusan (participative decision making) staf pengajar, mernpengaruhi hasil beIajar mahasiswa (student outcomes) di JurusanAkuntansi pada Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan semi open ended questioner yang sebelumnya telah diujicobakan dan ditest validitas dan reIiabiIitasnya. Sarnpel penelitian diarnbil dari seluruh dosen yang rnengajar pada perguruan tinggi swasta pada Jurusan Akuntansi di DIY dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hipotesis diuji dengan rnenggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear. Sebelurn dilakukan pengujian hipotesis, terIebih dahulu dilakukan uji prasyarat analisis yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji rnuitikolinearitas, uji linearitas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh kesimpulan tiga hal, yakni (I) pengalaman mengajar (teaching experience) danjenjang pendidikan (education level) tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai F sebesar 0.9980 dengan tingkat signifikansi 37.2% jauh berada di atas tingkat signifikansi yang dipersyaratkan (5%), (2) partisipasi dosen dalam proses pengambilan keputusan (participative decision making) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Hal ini didasarkan pada nilai F sebesar 4.406 dengan tingkat signifikansi 3.8% berada dibawah tingkat signifikansi yang dipersyaratkan (5%), (3) secara bersama"sama pengalaman mengajar (teaching experience),jenjang pendidikan (education level), dan partisipasi dosen dalam proses pengambilan keputusan (participative decision making) tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai F sebesar 1.858 dengan tingkat signifikansi 14.2% jauh berada di atas tingkat signifikansi yang dipersyaratkan (5%). Berdasarkan hasil pene1itian ini direkomendasikan (1) perbaikan gaji dosen harus segera dilakukan oleh pemerintah, (2)pelatihan caramengajaryang baik untuk dosen perguruan tinggi swasta, (3) pimpinan sela1u me1ibatkan dosen dalam setiap proses pengambilan keputusan, dan (4) tipe kepemimpinan demokratis dan struktur organisasi tipe desentralisasi dapat dipakai sebagai salah satu strategi yang efektifuntuk meningkatkan kineIja perguruantinggi. Abstract

Abstract: As a developing country, Indonesia has been facing problems regarding finding the ways how to improve her higher education quality. In this study, lecturer participative decision making (hereafter abbreviated, PDM)) is observed and analysed to be linked with lecturer satisfation, commitment, and performance.Mail survey was used to collect the data. Open-ended questionnaires were distributed to the accounting lectures at faculty of economics and business in Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. A total of 61usable packets of questionnaires were obtained by dual rater approach. Data were analyzed by employing tabulation, anovaandregressionanalysis.It is found that lecturer participation will increase lecturer performance. Nevertheles, lecturer participation is beyond the track of getting lecturer satisfaction and lecturer commitment. Lecturer participation may be useful to boost lecturer commitment based on the single rating. In response jangling results, theoritical and empirical discussion are presented to provide useful academic and managerial recomendations. Keywords: participative decision making, higher education, Indonesia POTRET PARTISIPASI DOSEN AKUNTANSI DALAM PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN DI INDONESIA Abstrak: Sebagai negara berkembang, Indonesia menghadapi persoalan erkait dengan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati, mendeskripsi dan menganalisis partisipasi dosen dalam pengambilan keputusan dan pengaruhnya terhadap kepuasan, komitmen, dan kinerja dosen. Survei menggunakan angket semi terbuka dengan menggunakan rater ganda dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian. Sejumlah 61 dosen akuntansi dari berbagai fakultas ekonomika dan bisnis di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan tabulasi, Anova test dan analisis Regresi. Hasil penelitian berbasis pada single rating menunjukkan partisipasi dosen dalam pengambilan keputusan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dosen, namun demikian partisipasi dosen tidak terbukti berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan dan komitmen dosen. Kesimpulan yang berbeda atas hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini didiskusikan dan dipresentasikan agar dapat dibuat rekomendasi akademik dan managerial yang berguna. Abstract

Debates concerning what is right and what is wrong with national final examination (UAN) in Indonesia are not new. National final examination (UAN), a significant process using a test form to measure learning output, has been developed to provide useful information for the decision makers (parents, educators, policy-makers and the local community). Multiple forms of a certification exam are desirable for a variety of reasons. However, the problem of comparability among test scores using different test forms must be addressed in order to insure fairness and consistency in each testing situation. Test forms must be interchangeable across test administrations. Psychometric procedures known as equating methods can be utilized to produce comparable (equated) scores. Equating procedures consist of (1) a design for collecting test data for equating, (2) a clearly defined level of expected correspondence among test scores, and (3) specific statistical procedures that are used to estimate score correspondence. The process of equating is used to obtain comparable scores when more than one test forms are used in a test administration. In many situations in test administration, more than one form of the tests are used for security reasons. Beside, by test equating, a test form can be administered more flexible in the context of environment and time. There are several techniques and methodologies that can be used in equating test forms. Generally speaking, these techniques and methodologies can be divided into three major activities, namely determining test equating design, determining the test equating methods, and determining the way of test equating will be taken. The magnitude of standard error of estimate (SEE) is used to evaluate which is the most accurate method of test equating. The less the score of standard error of estimate the more accurate of the test equating method.

Abstract

FAKTOR DETERMINAN PROFESIONALISME GURUAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualifikasi pendidikan terhadap profesionalisme guru; sikap inovatif terhadap profesionalisme guru, etos kerja terhadap profesionalisme guru; dan pengaruh kualifikasi pendidikan, sikap inovatif, dan etos kerja secara simultan terhadap profesionalisme guru IPS SMP di Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kausal-komparatif yang bersifat ex post facto dengan melibatkan 119 guru IPS tingkat SMP, baik sekolah negeri maupun swasta, yang mengajar di Kabupaten Gowa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualifikasi pendidikan, sikap inovatif, dan etos kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profesionalisme guru. Besarnya sumbangan efektif kualifikasi pendidikan, sikap inovatif, dan etos kerja secara simultan terhadap perubahan profesionalisme guru IPS tingkat SMP di Kabupaten Gowa adalah 46,50%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, kualifikasi pendidikan guru, sikap inovasi, dan etos kerja perlu ditingkatkan agar profesionalisme guru meningkat melalui penyesuaian kualifikasi pendidikan yang dimiliki dengan standar minimum yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah dan melanjutkan pendidikan yang sesuai/linear dengan mata pelajaran yang diampu sehingga dapat lebih fokus/kompeten dalam bidang tersebut.Abstract This study was aimed at determining the effects of educational qualifications on teacher professionalism; innovative attitude on teacher professionalism, work ethic on teacher professionalism; and the influence of educational qualifications, innovative attitudes, and work ethic simultaneously on the professionalism of social science junior high school teachers in Gowa District. This study was an ex-post facto causal-comparative research involving 119 social science teachers of the junior high school, both public and private, teaching in Gowa District. The data were collected using questionnaires and research hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that educational qualifications, innovative attitudes, and work ethic have significant effects on the teacher professionalism. The amount of effective contributions of educational qualification, innovative attitudes, and work ethic simultaneously to the change of professionalism of junior high school teachers in Gowa is 46.50%. Based on the results, teacher education qualification, innovation attitudes and work ethics need to be improved so that teacher professionalism increases through adjustment of educational qualification at the minimum standards set by the government and continuing education that is linear with the subjects that can be more focused/competent.
