Abstract

The waste from the operation activities of the Nagan Raya 1-2 Power Plant (PLTU) has caused environmental pollution. Therefore, this research was conducted to find a solution on how to directly reduce the environmental pollution load due to the accumulation of solid waste in the form of fly ash. This was achieved by conducting a technical and economic analysis to obtain the effectiveness and efficiency values of producing environmentally friendly paving blocks. The results showed that in terms of technical analysis, the highest water absorption percentage occurred in the composition with 25% fly ash, which was 10.73%, followed by compositions with 20%, 15%, 10%, and 5% fly ash, which had absorption percentages of 10.30%, 9.69%, 9.40%, and 8.60%, respectively. According to the SNI 03-0692-1996 standard, the maximum water absorption for paving blocks of quality grade D is 10%. In terms of economic analysis, the highest cost was incurred with a composition of 0% fly ash, which was Rp. 2,565.00, followed by compositions with 5%, 10%, and 15% fly ash, which had costs of Rp. 2,516.00, Rp. 2,468.00, and Rp. 2,420.00, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that the composition with 15% fly ash meets the effectiveness and efficiency criteria in both technical and economic aspects. Keywords: Fly ash, technical analysis, economic analysis

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri Samatiga merupakan salah satu dari 11 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri yang ada di Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Permasalahan yang dihadapi terkait kurangnya pemahaman siswa mengenai kepengurusan jenazah sesuai ajaran Islam. Pemahaman ini dianggap penting sebagai bagian dari fardhu kifayah dalam agama Islam. Kendala logistik, seperti kurangnya sarana dan prasarana, juga menjadi tantangan dalam melaksanakan praktik pemulasan jenazah di sekolah. Alternatif solusinya adalah menyelenggarakan pelatihan pemulasan jenazah di SMK Negeri 1 Samatiga untuk memberikan pengalaman dan pengetahuan yang lebih baik kepada siswa serta meningkatkan fasilitas praktik pemulasan jenazah di sekolah. Pemelajaran ini sebagai tanggung jawab sosial dan kontribusi positif terhadap masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan sosialisasi, diskusi, dan praktek. Pemelajaran dilaksanan di ruang kelas  SMK Negeri 1 Samatiga dengan  tahapan pembukan, pemberian materi dan praktek langsusng tata cara memandikan jenazah, mengkafani jenazah,  menshalatkan jenazah, dan menguburkan jenazah. Pelatihan ini membantu siswa mendapatkan pengalaman secara langsung dan ilmu pengetahuan dari materi pelajaran yang belum tersampaikan secara maksimal)

Abstract

Concrete is a primary construction material, with aggregate as its main component. However, to meet the demands for more environmentally friendly and economical construction, alternative materials such as palm shell chunks (BCS), pozzolan sand, fly ash, and iron ore are needed. This study aims to evaluate the performance of concrete using variations of these aggregates and additional materials. The method employed includes testing the physical and mechanical properties, such as specific gravity, absorption, abrasion, and split tensile strength at 28 and 56 days. The results indicate that Split and BCS aggregates meet the abrasion standard of < 50%, with Split showing greater durability. The hybrid concrete (BMT-FBPP) using fly ash and pozzolan sand experienced a split tensile strength increase of 19.85% at 28 days and 24.57% at 56 days compared to normal concrete. It can be concluded that these alternative materials can enhance concrete performance, making them suitable for sustainable construction.

Abstract

AbstractConcrete is one of the most widely used construction materials in various types of buildings and infrastructure. One of the critical factors in the quality of concrete is its compressive strength, which is measured through testing using cube- or cylinder-shaped specimens. Although testing standards have been established, the test results between these two specimen shapes often show significant differences. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of specimen dimensions and shapes on the results of concrete compressive strength tests. The research was conducted at the Foundation Construction, Concrete, and Road Paving Laboratory at the Aceh Barat State Community Academy, using materials such as Andalas Portland cement, concrete sand, gravel, and water from the laboratory. The tests were performed according to SNI methods on cube and cylinder specimens at different concrete ages (7, 14, and 28 days). The results showed that the average compressive strength of both cylinder and cube samples increased with the age of the concrete. At 28 days, the average compressive strength of the cylinder was 17.243 MPa, while the cube reached 20.821 MPa. The ratio between the compressive strengths of the cylinder and the cube (f'c/f'ck) ranged from 0.825 to 0.837, indicating that the cylinder's compressive strength was about 83% of the cube's. The difference in compressive strength between the cylinder and cube specimens is influenced by stress distribution during testing, which is affected by the shape and dimensions of the specimens. Meanwhile, the compressive strength ratio between these two specimen shapes remained stable across different concrete ages, suggesting that the difference in specimen shape consistently affects the compressive strength test results.Keywords:  Specimen dimensions, Compressive strength, Cube, Cylinder AbstrakBeton merupakan salah satu bahan konstruksi yang paling sering digunakan dalam berbagai jenis bangunan dan infrastruktur. Salah satu faktor penting dalam kualitas beton adalah kuat tekan, yang diukur melalui pengujian menggunakan benda uji berbentuk kubus atau silindris. Meskipun standar pengujian telah ditetapkan, hasil uji antara kedua bentuk benda uji ini sering menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dimensi dan bentuk benda uji terhadap hasil pengujian kuat tekan beton. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Konstruksi Pondasi, Beton, dan Pengaspalan Jalan pada Akademi Komunitas Negeri Aceh Barat, menggunakan material seperti semen Portland Andalas, pasir beton, split, dan air dari laboratorium tersebut. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode SNI untuk benda uji kubus dan silinder pada berbagai usia beton (7, 14, dan 28 hari).  Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kuat tekan rata-rata sampel berbentuk silinder dan kubus meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya umur beton. Pada umur 28 hari, kuat tekan rata-rata silinder adalah 17,243 MPa, sementara kubus mencapai 20,821 Mpa. Rasio antara kuat tekan silinder dan kubus (f'c/f'ck) berada pada kisaran 0,825 hingga 0,837, menunjukkan bahwa kuat tekan silinder sekitar 83% dari kuat tekan kubus. Perbedaan kuat tekan menunjukkan bahwa antara benda uji silinder dan kubus dipengaruhi oleh distribusi tegangan selama pengujian, yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan bentuk dan dimensi sedangkan Rasio kuat tekan antara kedua bentuk benda uji ini tetap stabil pada berbagai usia beton, menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan bentuk benda uji memberikan pengaruh yang konsisten terhadap hasil uji kuat tekan.Kata Kunci:Dimensi benda uji, Kuat tekan, kubus, silinder

Abstract

Keberadaan COVID-19 sebagai suatu penyakit baru, mengakibatkan kurangnya informasi sehingga menimbulkan kecemasan dan ketakutan pada masyarakat sampai berujung pada munculnya dampak stigmatisasi. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan terhadap dampak stigmatisasi COVID-19, serta stategi manajemen risikonya. Tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat dan dampak stigma terhadap COVID-19 diukur dengan menggunakan instrument survey kuisioner, untuk menganalisa strategi manajemen risiko yang akan diambil digunakan analisis SWOT. Penentuan responden dengan cara non probability sampling. Adapun hasil yang didapat variabel Strength 87,06% berada di skala interval sangat setuju, pada variabel Weakneess 78,55% berada dalam skala interval setuju, variabel Opportunity 85,88% dalam skala interval sangat setuju, dan variabel Threat 69,06% dalam skala interval setuju. Berdasarkan analisa SWOT didapatkan 4 strategi yang dapat mengurangi dampak stigmatisasi yaitu, 1). meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat khususnya di lingkungan sekolah untuk dapat berpartisipasi dalam mengurangi angka risiko terjadinya stigmatisasi, 2) membuat konten-konten penyuluhan tidak hanya pencegahan, tetapi juga media penyebaran dan penanganan COVID, baik berupa tulisan maupun video dalam bentuk multimedia online, 3). mensosialisasikan kepada masyarakat dilingkungan sekolah bahwa upaya pencegahan, dukungan dan kepedulian terhadap penderita COVID akan memberikan keterbukaan informasi, 4) mengajarkan siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan pengelolaan emosi dan keterampilan social sehingga membantu mereka mengatasi tekanan dan merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menghadapi situasi sosial yang mungkin menimbulkan stigma. 5) membuat rencana kontijensi dan rencana aksi penanggulangan bencana di tingkat daerah dan gampong sebagai upaya penanganan COVID 19 dengan melibatkan perangkat gampong dan masyarakat.

Abstract

The traditional market of Meulaboh, West Aceh is a vital economic centre, but its activities put significant pressure on the surrounding road network. Research method used was to analyse the performance of a road section using the Manual of Road Capacity in Indonesia (MKJI 1997). Results of traffic flow measurements showed a consistent pattern: the highest vehicle volumes occurred on Saturday with peaks of 95.7 smp/h on Jl. Daud Dariyah (13.15-13.30) and 92 smp/h on Jl. Chik Ali Akbar (17.45-18.00). Meanwhile, Jl. Blang Pulo recorded a steady flow of over 1750 smp/hr with a DS of 0.77 (morning) and a peak of 1940.4 smp/hr (afternoon). Temporal analysis reveals a distinctive pattern where morning activity (07.00-09.00) is dominated by goods transport vehicles, while afternoons (16.00-18.00) are packed with shoppers using motorbikes. Road level of service classifications varied: from the worst condition on Jl. Daud Dariyah (level D-E) to the best on Jl. Melati (level B-C) with an average vehicle speed of 35.67 km/hour. The findings indicate an imbalance between road capacity (2299 smp/h) and traffic volumes, especially in segments adjacent to the market loading and unloading area. The comprehensive solution proposed includes management strategies for the short, medium and long term.

Abstract

This study analyzes the needs of an Android-based Acehnese-Indonesian dictionary for the vocational field. The needs analysis ensures alignment with user expectations. The instrument is tested for validity and reliability, with the product-moment correlation showing an r-value higher than the table value, and Cronbach's alpha exceeding 0.6, confirming its validity and reliability. Data were collected using purposive sampling through questionnaires distributed to 100 Acehnese speakers in West Aceh, Greater Aceh, North Aceh, and Lhokseumawe. The results showed that 87% supported the development of the dictionary, 87% wanted features such as images, pronunciation, and IPA writing, 84% considered audio important, and 79% preferred technical vocabulary, category-based search, and offline access. The novelty of this study lies in its user-driven approach, integrating interactive features that are essential for vocabulary acquisition. Unlike conventional bilingual dictionaries, this study focuses on vocational terminology, preserving the Acehnese language while enhancing its practical use. High user demand and a rigorous validation process ensure that the developed instruments accurately capture user needs, laying a solid foundation for further development.

Abstract

Abstract: In the city of Meulaboh, Aceh Barat Regency, there are a total of 12 tsunami disaster evacuation routes, with 7 evacuation routes in Johan Pahlawan District and 5 in Meureubo District. Several road segments serving as evacuation routes are located in the city center, often experiencing traffic congestion due to the high volume of public movement. To address this issue, research is needed to measure the community's satisfaction with the evacuation services to determine their effectiveness. Data collection will involve distributing questionnaires. The satisfaction variables assessed include tangible evidence (tangibility), reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. In Johan Pahlawan District, the tangibility variable indicates that the majority of the community agrees with the physical condition of the evacuation routes. However, concerns arise regarding side obstacles, intersections, and traffic lights, with approximately 51.6% of respondents expressing disagreement. The reliability variable shows a high level of agreement regarding the stability of the evacuation routes, while the responsiveness variable indicates that most residents disagree with their understanding of evacuation maps, the scarcity of evacuation signs, and the lack of information about temporary evacuation buildings. Although the assurance variable receives high approval, the empathy variable reflects a lack of trust in the government's role in publicizing evacuation routes. In Meureubo District, the tangibility variable demonstrates a positive assessment of 67.95%, indicating that the physical condition of the evacuation routes is considered adequate. Regarding reliability, 64.6% of the community has high confidence in the stability of the evacuation routes. However, the responsiveness variable, with an average of 46.73%, reveals that most residents have not seen evacuation maps, there is a shortage of evacuation signs, and there is insufficient information from the government about temporary evacuation buildings.Keywords : Evacuation Routes; Community Perception; Service EffectivenessAbstrak: Terdapat 12 jalur evakuasi bencana tsunami pada Kota Meulaboh Kabupaten Aceh Barat, di mana 7 jalur evakuasi Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan dan 5 Jalur Evakuasi Kecamatan Meureubo. Beberapa ruas jalan yang menjadi jalur evakuasi berada di pusat kota, sering terjadi kemacetan lalu lintas yang disebabkan oleh besarnya volume pergerakan masyarakat. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut perlu dilakukannya penelitian untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan jalur apakah sudah efektif atau tidak. Pengumpulan data dengan pembagian kuesioner. Adapun variabel penilaian kepuasan masyarakat terhadap jalur evakuasi adalah bukti fisik (tangibility), Kehandalan (reliability), ketanggapan (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance) dan empati (empathy). Pada kecamatan Johan Pahlawan variabel bukti fisik (tangibility) menunjukkan sebagian besar masyarakat setuju terhadap kondisi fisik jalur evakuasi. Namun, terdapat kekhawatiran terkait hambatan samping, simpangan, dan lampu merah yang dapat menghambat proses evakuasi sekitar 51,6% responden menyatakan ketidaksetujuan. Variabel kehandalan (reliability) tingkat persetujuan tinggi terhadap mantapan jalur evakuasi, variabel daya tanggap (responsibility) menunjukkan sebagian besar masyarakat kurang setuju terkait pemahaman terhadap peta evakuasi, minimnya rambu-rambu evakuasi, dan kurangnya informasi mengenai gedung evakuasi sementara. Meskipun variabel jaminan (assurance) mendapat tingkat persetujuan yang tinggi, variabel empati (empathy) mencerminkan kurangnya kepercayaan pada peran pemerintah dalam sosialisasi jalur evakuasi. Sedangkan kecamatan meureubo variabel bukti fisik (tangibility) menunjukkan penilaian positif 67,95%, menandakan bahwa kondisi fisik jalur evakuasi dianggap memadai. Pada variabel kehandalan (reliability) 64,6%, masyarakat memiliki keyakinan tinggi terhadap kemantapan jalur evakuasi. Namun, pada variabel daya tanggap (responsibility) dengan rata-rata 46,73%, ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat belum melihat peta evakuasi, rambu-rambu evakuasi masih kurang, dan kurangnya informasi dari pemerintah mengenai gedung evakuasi sementara.Kata kunci : Jalur Evakuasi; Persepsi Masyarakat; Efektivitas Pelayanan

Abstract

Traffic accidents at unsignalled intersections remain a serious problem in Indonesia, particularly in urban areas such as Meulaboh City, West Aceh. The high accident rate at these locations is due to the complexity of road user interactions and inadequate safety facilities. This study aims to analyse road users' perceptions of driving safety at unsignalised intersections, focusing on eight key aspects: demographic characteristics, infrastructure, driving behaviour, accessibility, road physical conditions, social factors, environmental factors, and regulations and enforcement. The research method employed a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collected through a Likert scale questionnaire (1-5) administered to 100 respondents selected via purposive sampling. Data were analysed using a percentage index formula to measure the level of agreement among respondents. The research results show that infrastructure (83,05%) and driving behaviour (83.10%) achieved the highest scores, indicating strong agreement on the importance of improving physical facilities and road user discipline. Meanwhile, road physical condition (75.4%) recorded the lowest score, highlighting the need to improve road surface conditions and drainage. Other findings revealed the significant influence of environmental factors (81.55%) and regulations (81.35%), as well as the role of social awareness (77.3%) and demographics (76.85%). The conclusion of this study emphasises that infrastructure improvements and increased driving discipline need to be prioritised in traffic safety strategies. Data-driven policy support involving public education, law enforcement, and inter-agency collaboration is essential to create a safe, inclusive, and sustainable traffic environment at unsignalised intersections. Concrete recommendations include installing traffic signs/lighting, safety campaigns, and the use of technology.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) based recommendation systems on the satisfaction of vocational students, focusing on two main variables: feature mapping and technological readiness. The research background is driven by the need for more adaptive and personalized learning, considering that conventional methods tend to be generic and overlook individual differences. Involving 183 vocational students selected through purposive sampling, the study employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and associative methods. Data were collected using valid and reliable questionnaires with a 1–5 Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that both feature mapping and technological readiness have a positive and significant influence on student satisfaction. Simultaneously, these two variables explain 43% of the variation in student satisfaction. Partially, feature mapping has the most dominant influence compared to technological readiness, indicating the importance of adaptive feature design in AI-based recommendation systems. This study proves that technology-based learning material personalization if supported by adequate infrastructure can enhance the learning experience and satisfaction of vocational students. Therefore, the study recommends the development of AI-based adaptive learning models that prioritize aspects of feature design and technological readiness to improve the effectiveness and quality of vocational education.
