Abstract

Spatial regression is an extension of classical regression analysis by considering spatial elements of spatial elements. One of the model of spatial regressions is the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). In the analysis, the GWR method considers the differences in characteristics between regions (spatial heterogeneity). Diarrhea cases in toddlers can be modeled using the GWR model. This research aims to model and identify factors that significantly influence diarrhea cases in toddlers in each district in East Java Province in 2020 using GWR. There are two weighting functions used in this research that are fixed bisquare kernel and adaptive bisquare kernel. The results showed that the GWR model with the adaptive kernel bisquare weighting function was more suitable because it produced the highest value of 79.29%. The factors that have a significant effect in each district are different and the dominant factor is the provision of vitamin A to toddlers.

Abstract

The laundry business is one of the rapidly growing businesses in Indonesia. This development is due to factors such as the increasing busyness of the community, urbanization, and lifestyle changes. Deter_gent Laundry is one of the businesses that experienced a decrease in income and the number of customers from October to November in 2023 due to errors in recording the number of clothes, clothes fading, clothes shrinking, clothes lacking fragrance, and others. This study aims to analyze the problems that occur in the laundry process at Deter_gent Laundry and provide solutions to improve the quality of laundry services. This research uses the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The results of this study indicate that the problems that occur are caused by several factors, namely human factors, method factors, material factors, and machine factors. To overcome these problems, it can be done by increasing the accuracy of employees, providing explanations, establishing and revising appropriate SOPs, and periodically controlling performance that deviates from SOPs. By implementing these solutions, it is hoped that the quality of laundry services at Deter_gent Laundry can improve and achieve the specified targets.

Abstract

Pneumonia is one of the infectious diseases resulting in significant mortality rates among children under the age of five in Indonesia. In 2020, East Java recorded the most significant incidence of pneumonia among children under the age of five, with a total of 76,929 cases. Modelling pneumonia cases might be employed to ascertain the factors affecting it. The pneumonia case data in Indonesia exhibits overdispersion, indicating that the appropriate model to utilize is Negative Binomial regression. This study employed the Geographically Weighted Negative Binomial Regression (GWNBR) model to analyze the distribution of pneumonia cases among children in Indonesia, which exhibited different characteristics and data variety. The modelling results indicated that using adaptive bisquare kernel weighting identified five different groups. These groups were determined based on the predictor variables that significantly affected the number of pneumonia cases among children under the age of five in Indonesia.

Abstract

The highest Tuberculosis cases were observed in West Java Province. One of the factors are suspected to be the cause is the relationship between neighboring regions. The spread of disease between these areas forms a distribution pattern such as clustered, dispersed, and random which can be detected by the VTMR, Moran's I, and LISA methods. The results of the study with data on Tuberculosis Rates in West Java Province in 2021 showed that with the VTMR method, the distribution pattern of this disease is clustered. Using the spatial autocorrelation such as Moran's I and LISA, it was found that the distribution pattern formed was random. In the LISA test, West Bandung Regency was obtained as a significant area of autocorrelation. While in terms of LISA map visualization, Tasikmalaya, Sukabumi, and West Bandung regencies have a significant effect on the occurrence of spatial patterns. There is a difference in the number of variables that have a significant effect on the calculation in hypothesis testing and GEODA visualization. This indicates that there are variations in spatial patterns between these variables, such as some variables that can form significant groups while others do not.

Abstract

Life satisfaction is one of the most ambigious concept to take a hold on. One’s degree of life satisfaction can differ from other person even though they have a realtively similliar life. This research studies people who play video games regularly (gamers) from the age of eighteen to fifty six. As one of the common trait or stereotipically seen that gamers have difficulty in social aspect of their lifes. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the research will try to confirm the relationship between anxiety and social phobia toward life satisfaction. The final model shows that anxiety and social phobia shows a significant negative affect towards life satisfaction of gamers.

Abstract

The existence of public fuel filling stations (SPBU) is crucial in big cities so that vehicle mobility in the city can run smoothly. Denpasar City with an area of 127.78 km2 consisting of four sub-districts has 49 gas stations. Until now, the distribution pattern of gas stations in the city of Denpasar is not yet known. This study aims to determine the pattern of distribution of gas stations in Denpasar city. To obtain data, the distance between one gas stations and the nearest gas stations are measured using GPS. By using the nearest neighbor method, it is found that the distribution pattern of gas stations in Denpasar city are random. The random distribution pattern shows that all sub-districts in Denpasar city have gas stations but not evenly distributed. With this result, it is hoped that if anyone wants to build a gas station, it is advisable to build it in an area where there is no gas station close by
