Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are an important sector in the Indonesian economy, because they can create jobs and improve income distribution. However, many MSMEs experience difficulties in gaining access to markets and developing their businesses due to a lack of skills and knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of entrepreneurship training for MSMEs in increasing income. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and literature studies. The results of the study show that entrepreneurship training for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is effective in increasing income. In the study, MSMEs who attended entrepreneurship training showed a significant increase in their income compared to MSMEs who did not attend training. This is because entrepreneurship training equips business actors with the skills and knowledge needed to increase the efficiency and productivity of their businesses, as well as opens opportunities to expand networks and markets. In addition, entrepreneurship training also helps increase the confidence and motivation of business actors, so that they are better prepared and able to face challenges in developing their businesses. Therefore, entrepreneurship training can be one of the key factors in increasing MSME income and supporting economic growth at the local and national levels.

Abstract

Prolonged delivery is a contributing factor to the mortality rate of mothers with a prevalence of 20% in Demak regency. Based on the survey in First Clinic Irma Solikin, Mranggen district, Demak regency, the birth data in January 2022 showed that 40% of mothers of 15 mothers experienced prolonged partity. One of the physiological efforts to prevent prolonged delivery is promoting pelvic rocking with a birthing ball. This technique requires the mothers to sit on the ball and rock the ball. This action makes the mothers feel comfortable and help them to promote the delivery due to the influence of gravity force. Thus, the fetus or the lower part of the fetus could move to the pelvis and shorten the delivery time. This research determined the influence of pelvic rocking exercise with a birthing ball on the delivery advancement of primipara mothers. The sample consisted of 20 mothers in the intervention group with pelvic rocking intervention with a birthing ball. Then, the other 20 mothers in the control group received normal delivery. The applied instruments were an observation sheet and a partograph. The researchers analyzed the data with univariate and bivariate analyses. The results found the influence of pelvic rocking exercise with birthing ball technique toward the delivery progress of primipara mothers in the First Clinic, Irma Solikin, Mranggen district, Demak regency. Abstract

Background: Health education plays a crucial role in improving patients’ knowledge and adherence, with digital media such as digital booklets increasingly adopted for their accessibility, flexibility, and effectiveness in enhancing patient self-management. However, the effectiveness of educational media is highly dependent on its readability level. Materials with poor readability may lead to misunderstanding and reduced engagement. This study aimed to identify the readability level of a digital booklet for productive-age adults with hypertension as an initial step to ensure the effectiveness of digital health education media. Method: This study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a research and development (R&D) approach to develop a digital educational booklet using the Heyzine platform, enhanced with AI-generated voice-over. Readability testing was conducted among 21 productive-age adults with hypertension in Semarang City using the Cloze Test, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), and a subjective questionnaire. Expert validation was performed by two reviewers specializing in community nursing and Indonesian language using The Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool–Printable version (PEMAT-P), which evaluates the domains of understandability and actionability. Result: The readability test results showed excellent scores, with a Cloze Test score of 94.29%, MCQ score of 92%, and a subjective questionnaire mean score of 4.22 out of 5. The expert validation using PEMAT-P indicated an understandability score of 79.41% and an actionability score of 78.57%, suggesting that the digital booklet is suitable for use as an educational tool for hypertension management. Conclusion: The readability and expert validation results demonstrated that the digital booklet possessed high levels of understandability and applicability (Cloze Test 94.29%; MCQ 92%; subjective questionnaire 4.22; PEMAT-P 78.99%), making it a feasible medium for health education among productive-age adults with hypertension. Future research is recommended to involve larger samples, more expert reviewers, and additional readability assessment instruments.

Abstract

Babies need adequate quality sleep because sleep is important for babies to mature their brains. The baby's body will produce growth hormone when sleeping, so the baby needs enough sleep for optimal development. One factor that influences infant development is rest or the length of sleep. To determine the effect of baby massage with fennel oil on the sleep quality of infants aged 3–12 months. Method one group pretest-post-test design. This study consisted of babies who visited intending to do baby massage at the Ananda Ambarawa Baby Spa Clinic in the January-February 2023 period. There were as many as 70 babies, so in a month, there were an average of 35 babies. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling, with a population of 35 infants and 32 infants as respondents. The PSQI questionnaire (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) was the research instrument used. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon statistical test. The Wilcoxon statistical test showed that the ρ value was <0.001 <α (0.05). The results of this study indicate that every 1-time baby massage intervention with fennel oil can potentially improve the quality of sleep for babies at 3–12 months of age 4,460 times. This result showed that Ha is accepted. In conclusion, baby massage with fennel oil affects sleep quality in infants aged 3–12 months. It is hoped that midwives can continue to motivate mothers and parents to perform infant massage and can be an additional reference for increasing the knowledge and insights of midwifery students, who are expected to become one of the most effective midwifery interventions to improve infant sleep quality.
