Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) necessitates digital literacy that transcends technical skills, focusing instead on its social and ethical implications. This community service program, titled "Beyond AI," aimed to enhance the critical understanding of AI's social impact among students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu. The participatory action research method was employed through a Four-day workshop, engaging 301 students. Activities included interactive material presentation and practical exercises on platforms facilitated by BPPTIK, covering Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Modern AI, and AI for Beginners. Results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants' understanding, with average pre-test to post-test scores increasing by 58% in algorithmic comprehension, 61% in data protection awareness, 60% in misinformation detection ability, and 72% in AI ethics understanding. The program successfully equipped students not only with knowledge but also with a critical and responsible mindset towards AI usage. This initiative underscores the urgency of integrating social and ethical dimensions of AI into digital literacy education to build students' digital resilience, preparing them to be wise and competent individuals in the artificial intelligence era. Sustainability of such programs through collaboration between academia, schools, and parents is essential for long-term impact.

Abstract

The development of information technology has introduced various innovations in education, one of which is the use of Augmented Reality (AR) as an interactive learning medium. This community service activity aims to provide teachers and students with an understanding of the concept and utilization of Augmented Reality in the learning process at SMP Negeri 23 Seluma. The implementation method was carried out through a workshop consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. During the implementation stage, participants were given material about the concept of Augmented Reality and practical training using AR applications such as AR-Kids and Assemblr Edu. The results show that participants gained increased knowledge about Augmented Reality technology and were able to use AR applications in learning activities. This activity is expected to improve teachers’ competencies and encourage the use of innovative technology in the learning process to create more engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a network security system using AlienVault OSSIM at SMK N 4 Kota Bengkulu. The method used in this research is the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC), which consists of analysis, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring, and management stages. AlienVault is implemented as a standalone operating system running on a virtual machine using VMware and is utilized to perform centralized network monitoring, threat detection, and security management. System testing is conducted using the black box method by simulating attacks such as port scanning and ping flooding. The test results show that AlienVault is capable of detecting network activities, identifying connected devices, and providing alerts for suspicious activities. With the implementation of this system, network security at SMK N 4 Kota Bengkulu becomes more controlled, secure, and supportive of teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

This study implements a combination of Hill Cipher and Least Significant Bit (LSB) steganography to improve data security and evaluate digital image quality. The Hill Cipher is used to encrypt text with 2×2 key matrix, while LSB inserts the encrypted message into the least significant bits of BMP image. The research method used is applied research with stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The test results show that the integration of these two methods maintains image quality with a low Mean Square Error (MSE) value (0.0001–2.9424) and high Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) (83.6554–103.4438 dB), indicating visually undetectable changes. The simulations prove the effectiveness of the system in securing data without significant image degradation. The conclusion of this study is that the combination of Hill Cipher and LSB steganography is effective in securing data without significantly compromising image quality. This study also provides an alternative solution for data security by utilizing hybrid cryptography and steganography techniques.
