Abstract

This research addresses the urgent need for Nahdliyin entrepreneurs in Indonesia to adopt digital innovation to remain competitive in the global market. Focusing on the role of entrepreneurial capabilities and knowledge sharing, this study explores how these factors foster digital innovation within the unique cultural framework of Muslim entrepreneurship. Using a quantitative design, data were collected from 400 Nahdliyin entrepreneurs in West Java through stratified random sampling and analyzed with Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal that entrepreneurial capabilities significantly enhance knowledge sharing and that both capabilities and knowledge sharing positively impact digital innovation. Additionally, knowledge sharing mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial capabilities and digital innovation, highlighting its role as a crucial enabler. The study’s novelty lies in its focus on a culturally specific entrepreneurial community, offering fresh insights into how Muslim values foster collective learning and innovation. The study suggests that strengthening entrepreneurial skills and a knowledge-sharing culture in Muslim communities can drive digital innovation, aligning business growth with community and religious values. These findings have important implications for entrepreneurs, policymakers, and educators in enhancing economic growth in emerging Muslim markets.

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of innovation capability in the relationship between organizational support, lecturer competence, and emotional intelligence on lecturer performance. Unlike previous research that emphasized only direct relationships, this study introduces innovation capability as a mediating mechanism, providing a novel perspective on how innovation strengthens lecturer performance. The research focuses on certified lecturers from private universities under the coordination of LLDIKTI Region IV in Bodetabek (Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi), Indonesia, a context that remains underexplored compared to public universities. Using a survey method, data were collected through questionnaires and interviews from a minimum sample of 354 certified lecturers, selected from a population of 3,048. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL 8, supported by descriptive analysis. Results show that lecturer competence has the strongest impact on innovation capability (29.44%), followed by organizational support (23.35%) and emotional intelligence (20.92%). Collectively, these variables explain 73.71% of the variance in innovation capability, which in turn significantly enhances lecturer performance, contributing 83.05%. The findings highlight the strategic role of fostering innovation capability to strengthen lecturer performance and competitiveness in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This study investigates the direct and indirect effects of workforce competence and Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation on employee performance in the textile and textile products (TPT) industry in West Java. Using a survey of 328 employees across major TPT firms, data were collected through structured questionnaires and interviews and analyzed with path analysis to quantify causal relationships. Results indicate that workforce competence directly improves employee performance by 26.32% and indirectly through TQM by 17.57%, contributing a total of 43.89%. Meanwhile, TQM shows a direct impact of 16.81% and a stronger indirect effect through motivation of 34.38%, highlighting its central role in enhancing employee outcomes. Together, competence and TQM account for 78.3% of performance variation, underscoring their synergistic influence in driving productivity and quality. The findings imply that investing in employee training to strengthen technical and operational competencies, alongside adopting TQM practices such as continuous improvement and employee empowerment, can significantly improve performance. This study contributes to the management literature by clarifying how competence and TQM interact in a skill-intensive and competitive industry context. Limitations include its regional focus and reliance on self-reported data. Future research should extend the scope to other industries and incorporate additional organizational factors.
