                                     ABSTRACT This research was conducted as the students were unable to explain the way a problem solved and they got low understanding on mathematics concept. This research was aimed at revealing whether the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) assisted with quis was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 10 Padang. This was an experimental research which applied random sampling technique. The instrument of the research were a quiz and a post-test which contained conceptual understanding indicators. The result of quis analysis indicated that the studentsâconseptual understanding improved from meeting I to meeting III and decreased in meeting IV. The result of hypothesis test by using t-test showed that in which  indicating that was accepted. Based on this result, it was concluded that the the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) assisted with quis was better than that of students taught by using conventional leraning in class VIII of SMPN 10 Padang.

ABSTRACTThis research was based on the students who were not interested in math and the students whose understanding of mathematical concept was low. This research is aimed at knowing the students understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of the technique of quick on the draw is better than the students understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of conventional learning. The kind of the research was the experimental research with the random device to the subject class VIII.2 was chosen as experimental class and class VIII.3 as control class. The instrument used was the test understanding of mathematical concept in the form of essay in reliability 0.971. Based on the data analysis result, it was known that two sample classes were distributed normally, homogeny and tcount = 1.74 and ttable = 1.675 because tcount > ttable with  = 0,05 those, the hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, it was concluded that the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of quick on the draw technique is better than the students understanding of  mathematical concept with the apply of conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 13 of Sijunjung.

ABSTRACT Thebackgroundfrom this research is comprehension studentâsmathematics concept was still low, and the studentâs didnât  focus on learning the teacher, the results visible of the eighth grade studentâs learn math SMP N 35 Padang. The aim from this research is to know the comprehension studentâs mathematics whice use active learning strategiesGuided Note Taking more better from a comprehension studentâs with use a conventional learning class VIII SMP 35 Padang. A kind from this research is experiment with the random desaign of subject. The instrument used this research is comprehension studentâs mathematics concept test.The type of test is essay with reliabilitas test is is 0.94. Theanalysis technique data usingon side test twith the help of MINITAB, According to the analysis of data it is know that the two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples at α = 0.05 and the results obtained from testing the hypothesis P_value = 0.016 is less than α = 0.05, so that the hypothesis research is accepted. It can be concluded that the studentâs comprehension of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Guided Note Taking better than the studentâscomprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional learning studentâs in the class VIII SMP N 35 Padang.

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research was to reveal whether the mathematics conseptual understanding of the students taught by using Talking Stick cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of this research was all of students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Koto XI Tarusan registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research was a test whose reliability was 0,813. The data gathered was analyzed by using t-test assisted with MINITAB. Based on the result of data analysis it was found that P-value (0,000) was smaller than α = 0,05 indicating that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Talking Stick cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 2 Koto XI Tarusan.

ABSTRACT        The background of this research was the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students and students would rather sit down and resolve the problem that was given to the teacher or a friend bench next to his friend, in discussing the matter dominated by active alone. This study aim to determine whether students mathematical understanding of the concept of class IX SMP 2 Mungka Fifty city districts with implementing Learning Strategy Team Game Tournament Type Kooperatife beter than convetional learning. Based on the analysis of data it was known that the two classes were normally distributed and homogeneous samples at significance level α = 0.05 and the results obtained from testing the hypothesis P-value = 0.023. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts apply Kooperatife Learning Strategy Game Tournament Team Type better than conventional teaching students IX SMP 2 Mungka City District Fifty Lessons Year 2013/2014.Â

ABSTRACTThe research is based on the lack of mathematical concept comprehention by student of VIII grade SMPN 2 Painan and the not really fun atmosphere, like the strategy that applied by school is lack of variation, the purpose of the research is to determine wether mathematical concept comprehention student with cooperative education strategy make a match technique is good enough than students mathematical concept comprehention with applied conventional education to students of VIII grade SMPN 2 Painan. The kind of this research is experimental research. Instrument that used in this research is the last test with concept comprehention indicators. The test is an essay with reliability test is = 0,86. According to the analycis of data, we know that the two sample class are normal and homogen distribution. The result of hypothesis test using test by one side with the help of MINITAB software, we discovered P-value = 0.038, itâs mean the hypothesis the accepted. Therefore we can conclude that students comprehention concept with applied cooperative education strategy make a match is good than conventional education to students of VIII grade SMP N 2 Painan.

Abstract This research is motivated by the students mathematical concepts understanding are still low. This research is head for determine whethert students mathematical concepts understanding by using active learning The Power of Two and Four Type is better than students mathematical concepts understanding taught by conventional learning. Type of this reaserch is experimental reaserch, with the Random Research design toward the subject. The population of this research is VIII class students of the SMPN 27 Padang in lessons 2013/2014. Technique of the sampling is the random ways, and the selected as the sample class is VIII.6 as experimental class and VIII.4 as control class. Instrument used in this reaserch is the last test of the matematic concept understanding. The test form used is essay form with reliabilities test is ,88. The data analysis technique used is the one side test with the help of MINITAB software, hypothesis test results P-value=0,004 is less than α=0,05, so the hypothesis of this research is accepted and with the resault can be inferred that students matematic concept understanding by applying the active learning the power of two and four type is better than student matematic concept understanding taught by conventional learning the VIII class students of the SMPN 27 Padang.

This research is an experimental research, the design of randomized trials on the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test student understanding of mathematical concepts. Data analysis techniques are used to test the hypothesis is not a party with the help of MINITAB software. Based on the results of the analysis of the data found that both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous samples. Hypothesis test results obtained P - value = 0.025 is less than α = 0.05, then reject H0, so the hypothesis in this study received, so it can be concluded that the Studentâs understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies the power of two better than the understanding of mathematical concepts studentâs by applying conventional learning eighth grade studentâs SMPN 3 Lembang Jaya academic year 2013/2014 .

ABSTRACT The background of this research is about a low understanding of mathematical concept of studentâs math and a less change they have to be participated toward assignment which is given in learning process The purpose of this research is to know whether the understanding of mathematical conceptwith cooperative learning model Kancing Gemerincing technique will be better than a conventional learning technique toward student grade VIII of Junior High School 6 Lubuk Basung. The kind of this research is experimental research by a random design toward a subject. The population of this research is all of students in grade VIII Junior High School 6 Lubuk Basung academic year 2013/2014 that consists of 4 classes. The technique sampling of this research is collected randomly. In this case, class VIII A is chosen as experiment class and class VIII B is chosen as control class. Therefore, understanding of mathematical concepttest is used as instrument. The kind of test is an essay with 0, 87 test reliability. The technique analysis data is t test one way. Based on the result of testing hypothesis t_tabel=1,645 and t_hitung= 2, 5137 because t_hitung > t_tabel, it means the hypothesis is accepted on real level of α = 0, 05. It can be concluded that the understanding concept of studentâs math by applying cooperative learning model Kancing Gemerincing technique is better than a conventional learning technique toward students grade VIII of Junior High School 6 Lubuk Basung.

ABSTRACTThe background of research caused less active students tend to ask your friends but the results have not been satisfactory and lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students. This study aims is to determine students mathematical concepts comprehension with peer lesson strategies and worksheets better than math concept comprehension with conventional learning. The research is experimental by using random to the experimental subject. Population is student in the class VIII SMP 13 Sijunjung. The instrument used is examinations winh reliability 0.95. To test the hypothesis used the t-test with MINITAB, obtained P-Value 0,005 less than α = 0.05, so hypothesis received. In conclusion, students mathematical concepts comprehension with peer lesson strategies and worksheets better than students math concept comprehension with conventional learning. in class VIII SMP 13 Sijunjung.
