Abstract

This study was held at BPTU-HPT Denpasar which located in Pangyangan Village, Pekutatan Sub-district, Jembrana Regency conducted from January 18, 2017 - April 18, 2017. Analysis of nutritional content was performed at the Laboratory of the Agriculture Faculty of Warmadewa University and the Udayana University Faculty of Animal Husbandry Laboratory. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of cutting age on production and quality of nutrition Indigofera sp.The Method of this study did use on Complete Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 3 groups and 4 treatment of cutting age. The treatments in this study were P1 (45 days of Cutting Age), P2 (60 days of cutting age), P3 (75 days of cutting age), and P4 (90 days of cutting age). The results showed that the effect of different cutting age gave a most real effect (P

Abstract

One of the efforts to fulfill the communitys nutritional resources derived from animal protein is by broiler farming business. In order for broiler chickens to achieve optimal productivity then the provision of proper rations in both quality and quantity must be met, but the obstacle in improving the quality of the ration is the cost of ration is large enough. It is necessary to research the feed material that is able to meet the needs of broiler chicken one of them is the leaves kelor. This research used broiler strain CP-707 as much as 60 tail. The method used is CRD (Completely Randomized Design) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were rations with no addition of moringa flour (PO), ration with addition of 3% maize flour (P1), ration with addition of 6% maize flour (P2), ration with addition of maize flour 9% (P3), ration with the addition of 12% maize flour (P4). The variables observed in this study were carcass weight, carcass percentage and non carcass percentage. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the addition of moringa flour on ration to 12% level on carcass weight, carcass percentage and non carcass percentage statistically show different not significant.

expensive. The cost of feed in a livestock business reaches 60-70% of the total production cost, so it is very important to find other alternatives in providing feed ingredients for rations. The feed ingredients that need to be used as alternative feed ingredients include those from agricultural industry waste, one of which is banana peels. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were R0 (the ration without the addition of fermented banana peel flour), R1 (the ration containing 2.5% fermented banana peel flour.), R2 (the ration containing 5% fermented banana peel flour), R3 (the ration containing 7, 5% fermented banana peel flour), R4 (ration containing 10% fermented banana peel flour). The results showed that the addition of fermented banana peel flour in the ration did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on all observed variables (cut weight, carcass weight, percentage of carcass and percentage of non-carcass). Giving fermented banana peel flour as much as 7.5% (R3) always absolute gave higher cutting weight and carcass weight results

Abstract

Adapun perlakuan yaitu N0 = Ransum tanpa kandungan tepung kulit nanas terfermentas, N1 = Ransum mengandung 5% tepung kulit nanas terfermentasi, N2 = Ransum mengandung 10% tepung kulit nanas terfermentasi, N3 = Ransum mengandung 15% tepung kulit nanas terfermentasi, N4 = Ransum mengandung 20% tepung kulit nanas terfermentasi.

Abstract

Indonesia's livestock sector is currently developing very quickly due to public awareness of the nutritional value of animals, one of which is from super free-range chickens. Super free-range chickens or superior broiler chickens are the result of a cross between free-range chickens and egg-laying breed chickens. The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of giving fermented Japanese papaya leaf flour on the growth of super free-range chickens aged 3 - 10 weeks. Super free-range chickens in their maintenance need quality feed to fulfill their nutrition. However, rations are the largest cost component, which is 60-80% of the total production cost of poultry, so there needs to be an effort to reduce the conversion value by using other feed alternatives, but without reducing the productivity of the livestock. Kersen leaves contain nutrients that also have anti-bacterial properties and contain phytochemicals including flavonoids, tannins, triterpenes, and saponins that show antioxidant activity The nutritional content of kersen leaf flour is 5.02% water, 6.39% ash, 11.31% crude protein, 14.85% crude fiber, 7.53% fat, 69.75% carbohydrates and 3988 kcal/kg of metabolic energy. Kersen leaves can be used as feed ingredients in rations by fermenting to reduce the crude fiber (14.85%) it contains. The design used in this study is a Complete Random Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 3 replicates. P0 = A ration without containing fermented kersen leaf flour. P1 = The ration contains 3% fermented kersen leaf flour. P2= The ration contains 6% fermented kersen leaf flour. P3 = The ration contains 9% fermented Japanese kersen leaf flour. P4 = The ration contains 12% fermented kersen leaf flour. The indicators observed were initial body weight, weight gain, final body weight, ration consumption and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The results of the study showed that the growth of super free-range chickens fed a ration of fermented kersen leaf flour showed different results (P>0.05) on initial body weight, weight gain, final body weight and FCR, while in ration consumption there was a real effect (P<0.05). Based on the results of this study, in the P1 treatment, the administration of fermented cool leaf flour gave the best results by giving 3%.
