Abstract

Sugarcane Bagasse is one of the wastes come out from the sugarcane water milling which is currently very much and very abundant in Pidie. Since this garbage cannot naturally disintegrate, it might harm the environment. One way to manage the sugarcane bagasse is by processing become compost. This study examined the results of sugarcane bagasse composting by using a reduction treatment in material size and the addition of several types of bioactivators that aim to accelerate the composting process and obtain the results that fulfil the requirements qualified. This study compraised of two factors, namely the reduction of size material factor and the type of bioactivator factor by using the Completely Randomized Design method. The results showed that the lowest value of C-Organic was obtained in the milling treatment and Orgadec bioactivator, N-total was obtained from manual counting treatment and MA11 bioactivator, the best C/N ratio was obtained in the milling treatment and Orgadec bioactivator, also the highest organic matter value was obtained in manual counting and EM4 bioactivator. Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of application of green manure compost and ZPT floravit to increase the growth and production of tomato plants. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jabal Ghafur Sigli University. The materials used were tomato seeds of Servo variety, green manure compost and ZPT Floravit. This study used a factorial randomized block design. The green manure compost factor is, K1:10 tons/ha, K2:20 tons/ha, K3:30 tons/ha and the floravit ZPT concentration factor is Z1:1 ml/liter, Z2:1.5 ml/liter, Z3:3 ml/liter of water. The results showed green manure compost had a significant effect on plant heigh at 35 DAP and the number of branches 45 DAP, no significant effect on plant height 25 and 45 DAP, the number of branches 25 and 35 DAP, fruit weight and fruit weight per plot. The concentration of floraphyte ZPT had no significant effect on plant height, number of branches, weight of fruit planted and weight of fruit per plot. There was an interaction between green manure compost and PGR Floravit on plant height at 35 DAP in the combination treatment (K2Z3).Keywords: tomato, green manure compost, ZPT floravit

Abstract

Community Food Barns (Lumbung Pangan Masyarakat or LPM) serve as a vital instrument in maintaining national food reserve stability; however, multidimensional evaluations of their sustainability are often overlooked. This study aims to evaluate the sustainability status and development strategies of LPM in Pidie Regency, Aceh. The unit of analysis involved 150 LPM member farmers selected via simple random sampling. A Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) approach using Rapfish was employed to assess sustainability ordination across ecological, economic, and social dimension indicators. The analysis indicates that LPM falls under the "moderately sustainable" category in aggregate. Social and ecological dimensions dominate, whereas the economic dimension exhibits the lowest index (54.03–57.20%). Key leverage factors include land quality, market access, and compliance with environmental regulations. This study contributes theoretically by adapting the MDS model to measure the resilience of agrarian community-based food institutions. Practical implications emphasize the necessity of economic business diversification and managerial strengthening to ensure adaptive regional food self-sufficiency.

Abstract

Pemanfataan biochar limbah kelapa muda dan kompos untuk  memperbaiki pH dan C organik tanah di lahan kritis menjadi perlu diperhatikan untuk mendukung pertanian yang berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian biochar limbah kelapa muda dan kompos terhadap perbaikan nilai pH dan C-organik tanah pada penanaman kedelai yang dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jabal Ghafur.  Analisis tanah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penelitian Tanah dan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan acak kelompok pola Faktorial, yang  terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu faktor biochar kelapa muda (B) dengan 3 taraf (0, 20 dan 40 ton ha-1) dan faktor kedua kompos (K) dengan 3 taraf perlakuan (0, 20 dan 30 ton ha-1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan biochar limbah kelapa muda menaikkan nilai pH 9,51% dan C-organik naik 9,65%, sedangkan perlakuan pemberian kompos meningkatkan nilai pH  2,95% dan C-organik naik 2,63%, sehingga aplikasi biochar dan kompos yang rutin dapat memperbaiki kualitas tanah yang kritis di Desa Gle Gapui, Kabupaten Pidie.
