Abstract

This journal aims to analyze the participation of localschoolchildrenin environmentalprogramsat the Green School Bali which is bridged by the Kul-Kul Connection which is a community integration in the Green School Bali. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive and explanative types. The author uses three propositions from six propositions of social exchangetheory George Caspar Homans, namely success propositions, stimulus propositionsandvalue propositions. Environmentalprogramsinthe Kul-Kul Connection include trash for class, activism, rice cycle course, and grebek. Local school children who are members of the Kul-Kul Connection show participation and care for the environment in participating in environmental programs. The impact from the participation of school children on environmental care, the impact of caring for the environment at home, the impact of caring for the environment in schools, the impact of caring for the environment in society. Abstract

Langgahan Village Government provided pig seed assistance as a poverty alleviation program based on community empowernment to their communities categorized as poor households in 2019 as an effort to provide power or strength of economic activity to overcome the poverty problem they faced. This research used a qualitative approach with the type of research is descriptive-explanative. The theory used in this research is the theory of community empowernment by Jim Ife. Based on the result of this research, Langgahan Village Government invited poor households to actively participate in the planning step, the realization step of providing assistance, and the step of developing pig seed assistance. In addition, this research also revealed the factors that influence poor households in developing the pig seed assistance they received until they get a socio-economic impact on their lives. Abstract

This study analyzes and describes how the types of social action and rationalization process carried out by the initiator in organizing the program Utsawa Bali Shanti, Utsawa Dharma Budaya and Contest Nyurat Balinese Aksara in Denpasar City. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive explanative. The theory used is Maximilian Weber's theory of social action. These three actions have various motives which show subjective meaning to the initiator. In addition, there are also two types of rationalization processes carried out by the initiator, namely the means-end rationality and the value rationality. Abstract

This research seeks to discuss the movement to appreciate the elderly working and participation in campaigning anti-begging actions by Ketimbang Ngemis Bali in Denpasar City. The research used qualitative and descriptive-explanative approaches to explain the efforts, obstacles and impacts of the Ketimbang Ngemis Bali social movement. The theory used is a new social movement in the form of mobilization of resources by Anthony Oberschall. The results showed that Ketimbang Ngemis Bali's efforts were realized through bernas activities, donation distribution, groboli, entrepreneurship programs, promotion of solia businesses and socialization of beggars and the community. In practice, Ketimbang Ngemis Bali's actions experienced various obstacles such as low physical community participation to the lack of beggar response to socialization activities. The impact of Ketimbang Ngemis Bali's action has been felt by various parties such as solia, members, volunteers and followers along with a positive response from the community. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine overall social identity among students in Udayana University students. There are a lot of lifestyle and culture which each students had, in this research also I analyze fashion as social identity in the daily life of students in Udayana University and the impacts itself. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive exploratory with Dramaturgy theory by Erving Goffman. The result showed that fashion made a social identity on students trough the support of role model, enviroment, trend, technology, and clothes. All of the things has impacts in life inside the campus, relationship with parents also family, and it has economy impact for students. Based on dramaturgi theory which is front stage and back stage, where each students has their own clear boundaries between those two things, wearing a proper fashion both in front stage and otherwise in back stage. Abstract

Acculturation is a social process in which a certain group adopt new and different cultural elements. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive-explanative type and it implemented AGIL (Adaptation, Goal-attainment, Integration, and Latency) theory by Talcott Parsons. It examined the acculturation of Chinese and Balinese culture in Langgahan Village since the period of the Balingkang kingdom in Bangli. This study also examined the forms of Chinese’s acculturation during Odalan Kongco and Odalan Pura Dalem, Imlek, Galungan and Kuningan, as well as the existence of Sanggah and Nyolo buildings in every Chinese’s house. Abstract

Human Immunodefisiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that affect immunity system and it weaken body ability to counter infection and desease. Concerning to high number of HIV/AIDS cases in Denpasar, the government create the VCT (Voluntary Conseling and Testing) programs to prevent and overcome the desease at Jempiring Asri clinic on Puskesmas II Denpasar Selatan. the purpose of this study are to identify the process and implementation mechanism of Voluntary Conseling and Testing (VCT) programs implemented by Jempiring Asri clinic and discover the implications of VCT program implementation on public health behavior to overcome HIV / AIDS. The data in this research was collect using observation method, interview, document study and library research, and the the concept of health behavior by Green (1990) was analyzed to describe various efforts conducted by comunity healthcare through VCT Jempiring Asri clinic to detect and treat HIV/AIDS case as early as possible. The result of this study shows that VCT program processes and mechanisms are implemented in three stages. first: pre-counseling to motivate and guide patients to openly and honestly admit their health behaviors. second: conduct laboratory testing, to determine whether the patient is positive or non HIV-infected. the last stage: Post-counseling conducted to take intensive care to guide patients for treatment and therapy. The implications of the program's implementation relate to the changes in health behaviors, avoidance and prevention of HIV / AIDS transmission, as well as continuously and discipline of antiretroviral treatment (ARV). Abstract

This study aims to determine the motivation that exists in a Udayana University student who undertakes a part-time job as an online motorcycle taxi. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive and explanative types with data collection techniques, observation, interviews and documentation. Analyzed by going through four stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. As for the results of this study, there is motivation in a student who studies while working as an online motorcycle taxi, both intrinsically, namely fulfilling personal needs and self-actualization and extrinsic to alleviate family economic problems and work ethic. Based on the theory used, namely social exchange from George C. Homans, then all behavior in student motivation always considers rewards and costs, and is divided into several propositions, namely success propositions, value propositions, approval-aggression propositions, and rationality propositions. Abstract

The kinship solidarity of the Toba Batak tribe is a dalihan na tolu consisting of: hula-hula, dongan sabutuha, and boru. Marriage by applying the concept of the tradition sinamot carried out by the Toba Batak tribe in East Jakarta is a preservation of traditional culture in the midst of the modernization of the capital city. Along with the development of the times and the influence of the existence of the Toba Batak people in the East Jakarta City area, the amount of sinamot in traditional marriages can be categorized according to education, occupation, background, social status, and so on. Batak Toba youth in East Jakarta City who have good finances will certainly find it easier to carry out traditional marriages or apply the tradition sinamot compared to youths who do not have good finances. Abstract

Teens is the moment when an individual begin to interact with people around them. As the advancement of technology these days, more and more teenagers become easier become influenced by information they received. This research is aimed for understanding the background and smoking habbit in teenagers aged 12-18 years old, also the agents who influence teenagers to smoke. The research took place in Circle K at Tukad Yeh Aya Street, Panjer Denpasar. Based on the theory of peer group by Charles Horton Cooley and by means of qualitative description this research is developed. All the data in this research was collected by interviewing group of teens, doing observation, and making documentation. The result is in the primary group the role of family, religion, economy, and are the main reason driving teenagers smoking, while in the secondary group agents influencing teen to smoke is their peers, milieu and source of information.
