Abstract

Assessment plays a crucial role in the process of acquiring a foreign language. Assessments are crucial to conduct in order to ascertain enhancements in student learning. The assessment results can serve as a guide for creating impactful learning activities for students. Teachers need to conduct diagnostic assessments as part of the emancipated curriculum in order to ascertain students' characteristics, learning styles, and learning needs. Differentiated instruction was implemented to accommodate the diverse characteristics and learning styles of students. This approach enables students to select learning methods that align with their individual learning style. Implementing differentiated instruction will result in the implementation of differentiated assessment by teachers. Teachers must adapt the assessment process based on the specific instructions for each individual learning style. Therefore, the objective of this research is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the needs of students and teachers throughout the learning process, with the aim of facilitating the development of differentiated assessment instrument for educators.

Abstract

Teachers and parents must support students while studying at home because the problem with learning at home today is the lack of support and facilities. Lack of support and facilities can affect the learning process, greatly affecting the learning achievement of young people. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of intrinsic aspects of parental support such as education and parents' employment on children's English learning outcomes. This research is using mixed-method method. The subjects of this study were 5th grade elementary school students and their parents, totaling 31 people. Data search was carried out in two ways, namely surveys and interviews. The findings of this study indicate that parents with formal employment and a history of higher education provide 3 to 4 types of support to their children, while parents with informal employment and a history of low to secondary education provide 1 to 3 types of support. Based on the student's English score, the student with the highest score of 90, received 3 to 4 types of support from their parents. Abstract

In the implementation of the curriculum, of course, it cannot be separated from assessment activities. Assessment helps teachers to know the ability and understanding of students in receiving material. The government is very aggressive in creating a new curriculum to catch up on what was missed in the previous curriculum. Currently, the government has published the latest curriculum with the name Emancipated Curriculum. This curriculum has several assessments that are similar to the previous curriculum. The assessments in question are diagnostic assessments, formative assessments, and summative assessments. This assessment aims to help develop differentiated assessment in schools and in accordance with the diverse learning styles of students. This research uses the Design and Development or D&D method proposed by Richey and Klein's (2007). There are four stages in product development, namely Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation or called ADDE. Data collection was conducted at SMPN 1 Seririt, with 38 respondents divided into 37 students and 1 English teacher. The resulting data were analyzed with mixed methods or a mixture of qualitative and quantitative. The result of this research is a product in the form of an assessment book intended for teachers. This manufacturing process is based on the ADDE method (Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation).
