Abstract

Knowledge is the result of "knowing" that occurs after someone senses a certain object. Diarrhea is the discharge of loose stools with a soft to liquid consistency with a frequency of three or more times a day. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of mothers about the use of ORS in infants in RW 006 Bagorejo Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The method used is cross-sectional an accidental sampling of data carried out in RW 006 Bagorejo Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency for the period June - July 2022 by distributing questionnaires to 72 respondents according to the inclusion criteria. Mother's level of knowledge about the use of ORS in infants in RW 006 Bagorejo Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency can be seen in the categories of know, understanding, and application. Based on the results of research on 72 respondents obtained a good percentage in the know category, understanding category, and application category.

Abstract

Gummy candies (gummy permen) merupakan permen kunyah semi basah yang terbuat dari gelatin dan karegenan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memformulasikan buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) ke dalam bentuk gummy candies. Pada penelitian ini digunakan variasi konsentrasi gelatin dan karagenan 750 mg : 250 mg (F1), 500 mg : 500 mg (F2) dan 250 mg : 500 mg (F3). Metode pembuatan yang digunakan adalah metode cetak tuang. Gummy candies diperiksa organoleptis, keseragaman bobot, pH dan stabilitasnya pada suhu sejuk, kamar dan hangat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan organoleptis seluruh formula adalah manis, berwarna coklat bening, dan beraroma tutty fruty. Kekenyalan yang didapatkan adalah sedikit kenyal (F1), kenyal (F2) dan sangat kenyal (F3). Seluruh formula memenuhi persayratan keseragaman bobot. Nilai pH seluruh formula adalah 4. Dari uji stabilitas diketahui bahwa formula yang paling stabil adalah F3 yang disimpan pada suhu sejuk (8 °C – 15 °C)

Abstract

Solid soaps are the most commonly used. The addition of various concentrations of Cocamide DEA is expected to fulfill the physical properties test of solid bath soap. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of Cocamide DEA on the physical properties of solid soap. knowing how many concentrations of Cocamide Dea formulation that meet the physical properties test of solid soap. a pre-experimental (one group) post-test design was used for this research method. The ingredients used in this study were cocamide DEA, NaOH, purple sweet potato extract, 70% ethanol, olive oil, coconut oil, chewing gum fragrance, aquadest. The treatments in this study were various concentrations of Cocamide DEA F1 2%, F2 3%, F3 5%. Parameters observed were organoleptic test, pH test, water content test, foam height test. organoleptic results showed that F1, F2, F3 had a smooth texture, a strong bubble gum aroma, F1 was dark brown, F2 was brown, F3 was light brown. Results pH F1 9.4, F2 9.6 F3 9.8. The results of the water content of F1 0.02%, F2 0.03% F3 0.07%. High yield foam F1 7.0, F2 7.4, F3 7.8. Cocamide DEA with a concentration of 2% F1 which meets the physical properties test of solid soap.

Abstract

Gel is a semisolid dosage form that consumers prefer because of its cool sensation. This research aimed to identify the effect of different concentrations of ethanolic extract from potato peels on the physical properties and the antibacterial activities of the resultant gels against Propionibacterium acnes. The gel was prepared with three formulas using a variety of potato peel concentrations, namely 50%, 60% and 70%. Its physical properties were analyzed based on organoleptic observation, homogeneity, pH, and spreadability. The results showed that the ethanolic extract of potato peels affected the color and viscosity of the gel. However, no effects were detected on shape, smell, pH, and spreadability. All formulas showed strong inhibitory capacity against Propionibacterium acnes.

Abstract

The PIK-R youth organization in Candijati Village is not new. However, it is felt to be less active in carrying out activities that should be the purpose of forming the organization. Awareness of the importance of the role of youth in realizing village welfare must be revived. This service aims to provide motivation to teenagers in Candijati Village to be more optimal and effective in managing the PIK-R organization. The implementation of the service is carried out by providing socialization and training to the PIK-R administrators of Candijati Biting Village, Jember Regency, East Java Province. The material provided is material related to leadership and organizational management issues. Through this service activity, it can provide skills for the PIK-R administrators of Candijati Village in managing the organization, forming a management structure, fostering leadership talent and understanding related to early marriage which has a negative effect on teenagers. The programs at the growth stage implemented in PIK-Teenagers in Candijati Village have proven successful in increasing students' understanding of organizational management, reproductive health and reducing the risks of early marriage.

Abstract

Es daluman adalah minuman tradisional khas Bali yang terbuat dari cincau hijau (Cyclea barbata Miers) yang disajikan dengan gula aren, santan, dan es batu. Cincau hijau sebagai bahan utama es daluman memiliki manfaat bagi kesehatan manusia karena mengandung sumber energi dan nilai gizi yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah cemaran bakteri pada cincau hijau sebagai bahan utama es daluman di Kecamatan Jajag Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu cincau hijau, diambil masing-masing satu sampel dari penjual es Daluman di tiga lokasi berbeda di Kecamatan Jajag Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Uji cemaran bakteri dilakukan dengan metode Angka Lempeng Total Bakteri (ALTB) dengan metode pour plate pada media Nutrient Agar (NA) dan diuji sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cincau hijau dari tiga lokasi yaitu Jl. Teuku Umar, Jl. PB Sudirman, dan Jl. Banyuwangi di Kecamatan Jajag, Kabupaten Banyuwangi mengandung cemaran bakteri. Jumlah ALTB cincau hijau pada sampel A yaitu 7,7 koloni/g, pada sampel B yaitu 1,14 koloni/g, dan sampel C yaitu 7,66 koloni/g.

Abstract

Soap is a cleanser made by reacting chemically between a sodium base and a fatty acid. NaOH is varied because it is the main ingredient in the saponification process. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in NaOH concentration on the physical properties of solid soap preparations of purple sweet potato extract (Ipomoea batatas Lam.). The research method used is a pre-experimental one group post test design. The carrier material used in this study was NaOH with different concentrations of F1 (5%), F2 (8.5%), F3 (12%). The active ingredient used in this study was purple sweet potato extract as an antioxidant. Evaluation includes organoleptic (texture, color, smell), pH, moisture content, and foam height. The results showed that changes in NaOH concentration had an effect on the organoleptic physical properties of texture, pH, water content, and foam height of solid soap preparations and did not affect the organoleptic color and smell. The formula with 8.5% NaOH concentration gave the best physical characteristics in terms of organoleptic, namely smooth texture, light brown color, strong bubble gum smell, pH 9.9, water content 0.5%, high foam in 9 cm aquadest.

Abstract

Kesehatan rongga mulut sangat penting untuk menunjang aktivitas sehari-hari, mengingat gangguan seperti Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis (RAS) atau sariawan dapat menghambat kualitas kinerja individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan formula berbasis bahan alam menggunakan ekstrak etanol daun bidara (Ziziphus mauritiana Lamk.) yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas antimikroba dalam mengatasi sariawan. Evaluasi fisik terhadap tiga formulasi (F1, F2, F3) dilakukan melalui uji keseragaman bobot, ketebalan, pH, dan daya lipat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai keseragaman bobot berturut-turut adalah 0,028 g; 0,034 g; dan 0,05 g; ketebalan seluruh formula 0,1 mm; pH pada rentang 6,5; 5,96; dan 5,5; serta daya lipat sebesar 210, 207, dan 205. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga formulasi tersebut memenuhi persyaratan fisik sediaan patch.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the effect of HPMC variation concentration to the physical properties of Semeru Agung banana (Musa paradisiaca L.) skin extract gel. Gel was formulated with various HPMC concentration namely F1 (2%), F2 (3%) and F3 (4%). Gel was evaluated organoleptic, homogeinity, pH, viscosity, spreadbility and adhesion value. The results showed that F2 meet the organoleptic requirements while F1 and F3 did not meet. All formulas are homogeneous. The results of the pH test showed that the pH value of F1 was 5.9 ± 0; F2 of 5.8± 0 ; F3 of 5.9 ± 0. The results of the viscosity test showed that the viscosity value of F1 was 150 ± 0 dPas; F2 of 250 ± 0 dPas; F3 of 300 ± 0 dPas. The results of the dispersion test showed that the dispersion value of F1 was 5.6 ± 0.06 cm; F2 of 5.3 ± 0.29 cm ; F3 is 4.0 ± 0.12 cm. The results of the adhesion test showed that the value of the F1 adhesiveness was 11.04 ± 0.43 seconds; F2 of 17.4 ± 1.47 seconds; F3 is 24.2 ± 2.44 seconds. It is known that variations in HPMC concentration affect gel texture, viscosity, spreadability and adhesion, and have no effect on gel smell, color and pH.

Abstract

            Red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) has many benefits. The fruit peel is rich in antioxidants which have the potential to improve the health and beauty of facial skin. Traditional use requires a long preparation time and formulation is needed to make preparations with more effective, practical and long-lasting storage. The facial mask formulation is a peel-off gel preparation that can moisturize the skin and increase the effect of the active ingredients. Quality assurance, namely safety, quality and benefits, is very necessary, which can be done by testing the physical stability of the preparation. The aim of this research is to obtain a formula made from the active ingredient Hylocereus polyrhizus fruit peel extract in the form of a peel-off gel facial mask and the best physical stability. HPMC was used as a carrier base by varying the concentration, namely 2%; 3% and 5%. Evaluation of the physical stability of the preparation was carried out, namely homogeneity, organoleptic, spreadability, viscosity, pH and dry time tests of 14 and 28 days. Storage is carried out at warm (30-40°C), room (15-30°C), and cold (2-8°C) temperatures. The best formula is 3% HPMC concentration with the best physical stability. Variations in storage temperature have an effect on physical organoleptics (color), viscosity and dispersion, but have no effect on physical homogeneity, drying time and pH. Cold temperatures (2-8°C) show the best stability because they can maintain physical stability.
