Abstract

Sauropus androgynus (L) Merr leaf in Indonesia called katuk have strong antioxidant activity with IC50 80,01 ppm. The aims of this research is want to know physical properties of katuk leaf shampo which is formulated in various formulas. In this research katuk was formulated in shampoo with viscocity agent (HPMC, sodium CMC and Carbopol) in various concentration. The result showed that all shampoo formulas had low jasmine smell, but had different in form and colour. Shampoo viscocity increased with increased viscocity agent. The highest viscocity showed by F7 with 0,5% carbopol concentration. pH test showed that the shampoo with HPMC and sodium CMC had pH value 6. pH value of shampoo with carbopol was 5. All of pH formulas meet the requirement of SNI standard. Statistical result showed that the physical properties of foam high, viscocity and pH all formulas had significant difference.

Abstract

The use of chemical-based mosquito repellents has excellent repellent power, but their use can cause hypersensitivity and irritation. In Indonesia, there are several plants that contain essential oils and have mosquito repellent effects. One of them is cosmos (Tagetes erecta L). Cosmos leaf extract is formulated into a lotion preparation so that it can adhere to the skin for a longer time, thus providing longer-lasting mosquito repellent properties. This research aims to determine the effect of varying cetyl alcohol concentrations on the physical properties of lotion. There are 3 lotion formulas used with cetyl alcohol concentrations of 2% (F1), 2.5% (F2), and 3% (F3). The research results show that F1 has a thick texture and brownish-yellow color, F2 has a thick texture and green color, and F3 has a very thick texture and green color. All formulas are homogeneous. F1, F2, and F3 had pH values of 7.5±0, 7.5±0, and 7.9±0, respectively. F1, F2, and F3 have respective viscosities of 20±0 dPas, 30±0 dPas, and 35±0 dPas. F1, F2, and F3 had spreadability values of 8.48±0.51 cm, 7.81±0.05 cm, and 7.10±0.37 cm, respectively. The conclusion of this study is that variations in cetyl alcohol concentration affect the texture, color, pH, viscosity, and spreadability of the lotion.

Abstract

The heart is the most important organ in the body, because there are no cells and tissues that can function properly without adequate oxygen and blood supply. This study aims to determine the percentage of drug use and the number of drugs used as a reference in the process of planning and drug procurement. Sampling was determined by total sampling technique. The sample used was 279 prescriptions for outpatient heart disease at Mitra Medika Bondowoso Hospital for the period March 2021.The results of research conducted on a sample of 279 prescriptions for outpatient heart disease patients at Mitra Medika Bondowoso Hospital for the period March 2021, based on the name of the most prescribed drug, 153 prescriptions for candesartan with a percentage of 14.35 percent, based on the number of drugs used. The most widely used was clopidogrel with a total usage of 4,231 tablets. Then based on the class of drugs the most prescribed was the diuretic group with 261 prescriptions with a percentage of 24.68 percent, based on the strength or dose of the drug the most widely used was clopidogrel with 144 prescriptions with a percentage of 13.51 percent.
