Abstract

Abstract

This study focuses on Self Confidence or self-confidence of early childhood in dance learning. Low self-confidence of early childhood because they are not given the opportunity to explore in learning and make children feel bored and the learning and teaching atmosphere is not fun. This learning process aims to foster self-confidence or self-confidence of children and change their behavior to be more creative and active in learning. The method used in this study is quantitative using experiments where this study observes and observes phenomena by collecting data that can be measured using statistics. Data collection used in this study is interviews and also documentation of learning outcomes. The results of the study showed that self-confidence or self-confidence of children increased by 28% after the application of the synectic model in dance learning. Ideally, the self-confidence possessed by individuals must be in the very high category. This is intended to be able to develop aspects that exist within themselves, high self-confidence is needed in the individual. The aspects that need to be possessed are confidence, optimism, independence, responsibility, and rationality. The Synectic approach model in increasing children's self-confidence has a great influence on the results and creates an active, fun, and non-boring learning atmosphere. This is an approach used to foster creative and active thinking from a group of children who learn and play together.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student learning outcomes before and after the implementation of a collaborative strategy in dance classes at SMPN 1 Kunduran. To achieve optimal learning outcomes, appropriate teaching strategies are essential. At SMPN 1 Kunduran, the effectiveness of dance education has faced challenges, as reflected in the low student performance. This issue stems from a one-way teaching method that limits students' opportunities for exploration and focuses mainly on memorization and imitation of movements. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, employing an experimental method to evaluate the impact of collaborative strategies on student learning outcomes. The findings indicate that the implementation of collaborative strategies in dance education at SMPN 1 Kunduran has proven effective. There was a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. These results highlight the importance of adopting more interactive and collaborative teaching methods. Based on these findings, collaborative strategies are worth considering as an effective approach to enhancing the quality of education, particularly in art subjects such as dance. In dance education, student interaction and active participation are crucial to achieving optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

A study on niacin supplementation has been conducted on women with cholesterol level between 200-250 mg/dl. The objective of this study was to see the effect of niacin supplementation on cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein (LDL) levels. Twenty two respondents were divided into two groups. The first group, nine respondents, were given niacin 2x75 mg and the second group, 13 respondents, were given lactose 2x75 mg as placebo. Data collected included antropometry, side effects and clinical status. Analysis of blood for cholesterol and LDL was done using CHOD-PAP method, whereas analysis of triglyceride was done using GPO-PAP method. The results of this study showed that cholesterol and LDL levels decreased significantly 11,0% and 18,9% respectively, after one week supplementation and remained in that level two weeks afterwards. Triglyceride level decreased in all groups after two weeks but the difference was not significant. Keywords: cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein (LDL), niacin.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a character education model based on a deep learning approach in traditional dance learning for elementary school students in both urban and rural areas of Bandung. The Research and Development (R&D) method is employed, adapting the steps proposed by Borg & Gall, which include preliminary study, planning, model development, limited trial, revision, wider trial, and final model refinement. The model is structured around three core phases in the learning process: movement meaning exploration, value reflection, and expression through dance creation. Data collection utilizes observation sheets, interview guides, character assessment rubrics, and documentation, while analysis employs qualitative techniques (data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing) combined with descriptive statistics. Implementation of the model over three sessions in two elementary schools resulted in significant improvements across four key character aspects: independence, collaboration, responsibility, and critical thinking. The deep learning approach has proven effective in fostering students' value awareness through reflective, meaningful, and contextual learning experiences. This model is expected to serve as a strategic alternative for embedding character values into traditional dance instruction at the elementary school level.
