Abstract

A wood splitting machine is a machine that can crushing wood into fragments. From these wood fragments can be utilized as a variety of raw materials in the home industry, one of which is for firewood. one of which is for firewood. In general, this firewood splitting machine consists of an electric motor that functions as a serves as a drive, pulley, belt, shaft, bearing, and threaded drill bit. This research takes a case study of a firewood production business in firewood production business in Baturetno, Wonogiri, Central Java which experienced problems related to workers' complaints because the wood produced has not reached the the target needs of the community because the firewood produced can reach 40 bundles while consumer demand in one day bundles while consumer demand in one day can reach 70 bundles. So with this research the purpose of making a firewood splitting machine aims to help and be a solution to workers' complaints so that they can help in meet the resulting production targets. The purpose of this research is to find out identification of needs in the design of making firewood splitting machines, Knowing the design of the firewood splitting machine tool, and Knowing the increase in production capacity after the design of the firewood splitting machine. production capacity after designing the firewood splitting machine. The method used in this research is Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) 2221 used to produce an innovative firewood splitting machine design. From the results of the research on the design of firewood splitting machines, a significant time difference was obtained compared to using manual tools using an axe. Based on the results of research analysis using an axe produces an average time of 3.05 minutes in 10 times splitting wood, while using a firewood splitting machine produces an average time of 1.12 minutes, so it can be concluded that the time difference of 1.93 minutes or 63,28% is more efficient using a firewood splitting machine tool.

Abstract

Stone Crusher HSgroup 02 adalah sebuah UMKM yang mengolah batu pasir menjadi abu batu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi bahaya yang terjadi pada proses produksi di Stone Crusher HSgroup 02. Dalam tujuh proses produksi yang ada, terdapat berbagai potensi bahaya, seperti mata terkena debu pasir saat input bahan baku, serta risiko tersengat listrik bertegangan tinggi dan kebisingan mesin hingga 97,31 dB bagi operator. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode HIRA untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis risiko berdasarkan tingkat keparahan dan frekuensi terjadinya bahaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 12 potensi bahaya, dengan 0 potensi bahaya kategori high risk, 2 potensi bahaya kategori moderate risk, dan 10 potensi bahaya kategori low risk. Penilaian risiko menggunakan metode HIRA menghasilkan nilai 0% untuk risiko kategori high risk, 17% untuk risiko kategori moderate risk, dan 83% untuk risiko kategori low risk.

Abstract

In the business world, especially in the food industry sector, competition has always centered on improving time efficiency, proper use of equipment, productive labor, and capacity to produce goods. Labor affects production productivity significantly, therefore, the implementation of appropriate OHS standards in all stages of production is essential to ensure the comfort and safety of workers, so that they can achieve optimal production results. Pak Rahman's Tofu Factory is an UMKM making tofu Work accidents that often occur are, exposed to sparks during the frying process, injured during the cutting process, blistered skin during the boiling process, skin irritation during the washing process. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential hazards at Pak Rahman's Tofu Factory and submit recommendations for risk control. To identify and evaluate risks by considering the likelihood and severity of events, the HIRA method is needed to complete this research. The results of risk evaluation using the hazard identification and risk assessment method show that there are no risks with a high risk category, risks that have a moderate risk category have a value of 82%, while risks with a low risk category have a value of 18%.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risks at the Sarimulya Lathe Welding Workshop using the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) method. This workshop is a small industry with various high-risk activities such as cutting, turning, welding, and grinding. The HIRA method is used to identify potential hazards, assess risk levels based on probability and severity, and propose control measures to mitigate risks. The study results show several potential hazards with varying risk categories. The high-risk category has the largest percentage, 51.85%, spread across various work stages such as the cutting process using oxy acetylene, while the extreme risk category reaches 7.40%, occurring during welding and grinding stages. These risks include accidents from heavy machinery, exposure to fumes and dust, and burns from sparks. Through HIRA analysis, these risks can be assessed, and appropriate control measures determined to improve OHS standards. This research contributes to increasing awareness and compliance with OHS procedures in small industries, particularly at the Sarimulya Lathe Welding Workshop. Improvement suggestions include safety training, regular monitoring of working conditions, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Abstract

PT Roda Pasifik Mandiri is a manufacturing company engaged in the bicycle manufacturing industry so that the risk of work accidents is quite high. This research discusses the analysis of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) using the Hazard And Operability Study (HAZOP) method. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential hazards of work accidents, provide a risk assessment of the hazard sources contained in the E-Bike production area of PT Roda Pasifik Mandiri and provide recommendations for improvements to hazard sources that have extreme and high risk values. Data analysis using descriptive data analysis method with HAZOP. The results showed that there are 8 potential and sources of hazards found in the E-Bike production area of PT Roda Pasifik Mandiri. Based on the risk assessment, it shows that the risk of hazard sources in the E-Bike production area of PT. Roda Pasifik Mandiri includes Extreme Risk, namely at the pointed corners of the frame, High Risk, namely in the cutter blade, gerindra machine, and worker attitude. Moderate Risk is on bicycle frames, raw material cartons piling up, impact machines and compressor dust.

Abstract

PG Madukismo is a sugar factory that was established in 1955 and is the only sugar factory in the province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This factory is located in Padokan Village, Tirtonirmolo Village, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. PT Madubaru, a company engaged in sugar cane processing, is a sugar and spirits factory located in the Yogyakarta area. Companies that produce cane sugar with SHS IA quality. Product defects are often found, resulting in a decrease in quality, therefore it is necessary to carry out quality control. This study uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify failure modes, Logic Tree Analysis (LTA) to determine the consequences of failure arising from failure modes and determine effective preventive maintenance policies for each machine. For the production quality control section, the Statistical Processing Control (SPC) method is used to analyze product defects to determine whether product defects are still within controllable limits or not. While the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method is used to determine the failure mode in sugar production. For the quality control section on raw materials using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re-Order Point (ROP), Safety Stock (SS), and Total Inventory Cost (TIC) methods. The conclusion of this study is regarding the results of the analysis and calculations carried out with several settlement methods and there are several causes of production defects from 5 factors, such as: human factors, work methods, environment, raw materials and machines used. And provide solutions to companies in order to reduce defects by controlling product quality.

Abstract

Balai PIALAM, namely the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the PUP-ESDM Office of the DIY Regional Government, is a centralized wastewater treatment plant. The problems that exist in Balai PIALAM are temporary storage of B3 waste does not meet the criteria, leaking storage, excessive capacity, methods that can be used to overcome B3 waste are using the HIRARC method, based on 9 activities of the B3 waste management process. Impact of hazard risk with research results Risk level: Medium 4 hazard effect 6.33%, High2 hazard effect 2.11%, extreme1 hazard effect 1.6%. The stages of making HIRARC are: decomposing the work into steps from the beginning to the end of the process, identifying the source of danger, determining the hazard posed by means of interviews, observations, observations, brainstorming, determining the impact on environmental workers, assessing the likelihood of occurrence is used to determine risk rating. Abstract

PT Rhoda Bakti Jaya is a company located on Jl. Pegangsaan Dua, Blok A1 Km 1.6, Kelapa Gading, Rt 05 / Rw 02 Kec. Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta .PT Rhoda Bakti Jaya is a company engaged in manufacturing PT. Rhoda Bakti Jaya is a company operating in the industrial sector which is located at JL. Pegangsaan Dua, Blok A1 Km 1.6, Kelapa Gading, Rt 05/ Rw 02 Kec. Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. This company produces various types of components for trucks, namely truck frame or chassis components, brake components and pistons and brake cylinders. This job has a high risk of accidents so that it causes many accidents to workers. Therefore, in this research, using the HAZOP method, we can analyze the level of risk using likelihood, consequences and put it into the risx matrix scale.

Abstract

In the cracker production process at UMKM Kerupuk Subur, the process of drying crackers involves human labor so there is a risk of injury because when drying crackers, workers have to bend and squat. This study aims to determine the occupational dangers of workers during the drying process of crackers in UMKM Kerupuk Subur and provide recommendations for improvement. The method used to analyze body posture is Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) then for improvement recommendations using an anthropometric approach with percentile calculations to determine dimensions as parameters for designing the work aids needed in the form of an ergonomic drying table. The results of REBA's analysis show a score of 9 with a high or high level, meaning there is a high risk of injury so immediate improvement is needed. The results of the design of an ergonomic drying table were then simulated through Inventor software which described the position of the worker's posture when carrying out cracker drying activities with a perpendicular working position. The results of the assessment of the working posture of the worker after the improvement showed a decrease in the risk level from medium to low and negligible.

Abstract

Max Cleaning, as one of the MSMEs engaged in shoe washing services, has gained the trust of the public thanks to the quality of the washing carried out. Not only does it offer Max Cleaning services, it also sells its products, namely cleaners. Max Cleaning needs to develop packaging for its shoe cleaning products because competition is tight and product packaging is increasingly attractive, useful and at low prices, so it is necessary to develop packaging design. The development of shoe packaging cleaning designs that focus on consumer satisfaction using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method lies in the need to understand and fulfill customer preferences and needs in depth. The research objective is to provide an improved design for shoe cleaning packaging products that suit customer needs. Data collection techniques used in research to obtain data from respondents using questionnaires. Based on 5 attributes that influence customer satisfaction, it has a high level of satisfaction and is needed by consumers, namely the unique shoe cleaner packaging product design influences the decision to buy" with a value of 3.39. Based on the analysis of raw weight, the attribute developed is an environmentally friendly packaging product. And packaging improvements have been added with detailed information on the ingredients, as well as how to use the shoe cleaner, adding to the value of the shoe cleaning product packaging. Added to this, the striking color of the logo design gives brightness and a unique impression to the packaging. Changing the material from previously 50% alcohol to 10% alcohol content, this is more effective and safe for the user's health and does not damage the shoe material.
