Abstract

The traditional art of Calung Renteng Cibaliung is the only traditional calung art that is still very traditional with very simple musical instruments, but can survive to this day in the midst of technological developments and modernization that occur in society. The traditional art of Calung Renteng Cibaliung as a traditional art must be preserved, because in addition to the heritage from the ancestors, it is also a traditional music that is full of aesthetic value. This research aims to find out the development of Calung Renteng Traditional Arts in Cibaliung District, Pandeglang Regency. The research method is the historical method, which includes heuristic (collection of sources), source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The community in Cibaliung District created calung renteng as a traditional art that functions to eliminate boredom and boredom while waiting for rice. The beginning of the emergence of the art of calung renteng is not known for sure, but it has appeared since the 1990s. The art of calung renteng experienced rapid development in 2003-2020. Previously, the art of calung renteng was only played in huma. However, after being inaugurated as a typical art, the calung renteng changed its function to become a folk performing art, which is displayed in events organized by the community and the government. This shows that there is a change in function that occurs in the art of calung renteng. This change also makes the art of calung renteng not extinct because it adapts to the movement of the times that continue to change.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the internalization of Bantenese cultural traditions in Indonesian language learning at elementary schools through a literature review approach. This study is important as an effort to preserve local wisdom while strengthening students’ language skills and character education in the era of globalization. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a literature review of journals, books, articles, and relevant educational documents. Data were analyzed through identification, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Bantenese cultural traditions can be integrated into Indonesian language learning through folklore, oral traditions, traditional games, regional arts, and local expressions in reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities. These cultural values include religiosity, cooperation, politeness, responsibility, and respect for others, which support character education for elementary school students. In addition, culture-based learning creates a more contextual, meaningful, and engaging learning process because it is closely related to students’ daily lives. Teachers play an important role in creatively integrating local culture into teaching materials and classroom activities. Therefore, the internalization of Bantenese cultural traditions can serve as an effective alternative in improving students’ language competence while preserving local culture and strengthening character education from an early age.

Abstract

This study analyzes the representation of women in the national movement within high school history textbooks of the Merdeka Curriculum using the Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA) by Ruth Wodak. The findings reveal that women appear eight times less frequently than men, with their roles concentrated in education (30%), social organizations (25%), and health (20%), while political and military roles are minimal. Language analysis shows that active-strategic diction dominates descriptions of male figures (85%), whereas passive-emotional diction prevails for female figures (60-70%). The narrative structure applies the Great Men Theory, placing women as supplements to the main story. Visual representation marginalizes women through smaller photo sizes, peripheral placement, and domestic contexts. Ideological analysis confirms that patriarchal structures dominate all discourse production dimensions, with the state scoring 5/5 and women as subjects scoring only 1/5. The deconstruction score averages 2.2 out of 10, indicating a significant gap from the ideal inclusive representation. These findings demonstrate that despite the Merdeka Curriculum's inclusive aspirations, history textbooks continue to reproduce gender biases that marginalize women's historical contributions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan model game basead laearing berbasisis wordwall pada mata pelajaran sejarah kelas XI di SMA Bina Machmud Kadukacapi dengan materi perlawanan bangsa Indonesia terhadap penjajajah bangsa eropa hinga awal abad XX. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperiment menggunakan pretest dan posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 59 siswa, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, yaitu metode pengambilan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu, sehingga diperoleh sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI Teknik 2 sebagai kelas eskperimen dan XI Bisnis sebagai kelas kontrol. Terdapat lima indikator berpikir kritis dalam penelitian ini, diantaranya memberikan penjelasan sederhana, membangun keterampilan dasar, menyimpulkan, memberikan penjelesan lanjut dan Mengatur strategi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model game based learning memperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 31,04, sedangkan di kelas kontrol menggunakan model problem basead learning memperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 27,1. Selanjutnya, hasil uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai Sig. 0,000 < 0,05, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan model game based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, model game based learning efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui mekanisme permainan yang interaktif, di mana siswa ditantang untuk memecahkan masalah, mengambil keputusan cepat, dan menganalisis strategi dalam situasi simulasi yang kontekstual dan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Self-confidence is an essential character dimension for elementary school students because it supports communication, social interaction, and active participation in learning. Preliminary observation at SDN 2 Bayah Timur showed that several grade II students were still shy, passive, and hesitant to express ideas in front of the class. This study aimed to describe the process of strengthening students’ self-confidence through the Cooperative Learning model of Think Pair Share, identify implementation challenges, and analyze the success of the strengthening process. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews with the principal and the grade II teacher, and documentation of learning activities. The subjects consisted of 15 grade II students, the grade II teacher, and the principal. Data were analyzed interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that Think Pair Share strengthened students’ self-confidence through three gradual learning experiences: individual thinking, paired discussion, and sharing discussion results in front of the class. Students became more willing to ask questions, answer teacher prompts, discuss with peers, and present group ideas. The main challenges were differences in students’ characteristics, limited learning time, classroom noise, and the need for continuous teacher support for shy students. Teachers addressed these challenges through balanced pairing, role assignment, positive reinforcement, adaptive questioning, and simple learning media. The study concludes that Think Pair Share is relevant for strengthening self-confidence among lower-grade elementary students because it provides a safe, structured, and participatory learning space.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengenalan studi kebantenan melalui pembelajaran sastra anak di sekolah dasar sebagai upaya penguatan identitas budaya, literasi, dan karakter peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, yang menganalisis berbagai sumber ilmiah dalam lima tahun terakhir terkait kearifan lokal, sastra anak, dan pendidikan dasar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi studi kebantenan dalam pembelajaran memiliki peran strategis dalam memperkuat identitas budaya siswa melalui internalisasi nilai religius, sosial, dan filosofis yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Sastra anak terbukti menjadi media efektif dalam menyampaikan nilai kebantenan karena bersifat naratif, kontekstual, dan sesuai dengan perkembangan kognitif siswa. Selain itu, pembelajaran sastra anak berbasis kearifan lokal mampu meningkatkan literasi membaca, literasi budaya, serta membentuk karakter siswa seperti empati, tanggung jawab, dan gotong royong. Namun, implementasi di lapangan masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama keterbatasan bahan ajar berbasis budaya lokal dan kurangnya kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran yang inovatif. Lebih lanjut, integrasi sastra anak berbasis kebantenan juga mendukung penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, khususnya dalam dimensi bernalar kritis, kreatif, dan berkarakter. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan bahan ajar yang kontekstual serta peningkatan kompetensi guru untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi konseptual dalam pengembangan pembelajaran sastra anak berbasis budaya lokal di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the implementation of character education through The Seven Habits program in history learning at SMA Peradaban Boarding School, Serang City, for the 2025/2026 academic year. This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening character education amidst increasingly complex developments, especially in the educational environment. History learning not only functions as a means of delivering academic material, but also has an important role in shaping the attitudes, morals, and character of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and data triangulation. Research informants consisted of the principal, history teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of The Seven Habits program in history learning has been running well through the habituation of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, leadership, and critical thinking skills in students. This program is implemented both in the classroom learning process and in daily school activities. Supporting factors for program implementation include the boarding school-based and inclusive school environment, teacher support, and a positive school culture. Meanwhile, obstacles identified included differences in student character, varying levels of discipline, and the need for consistency in character building. Therefore, The Seven Habits program is considered to have a positive influence on character development in students learning history.
