Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman mendalam tentang fungsi dan manfaat label kesehatan serta halal pada produk makanan berkontribusi pada rendahnya kesadaran mengenai strategi produksi dan pemasaran di Indonesia. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan kepada produsen roti Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) di Kota Medan mengenai pentingnya kemasan yang memenuhi standar sehat dan halal. Dengan memberikan pengetahuan yang komprehensif tentang bagaimana kemasan yang sesuai dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen dan mematuhi regulasi, program ini diharapkan dapat memotivasi dan menumbuhkan komitmen di kalangan produsen untuk menerapkan kemasan bersertifikat kesehatan dan halal pada produk roti mereka. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan akan menciptakan perubahan positif dalam praktik kemasan di industri roti lokal dan memperkuat standar keamanan serta kualitas produk di pasar.

Abstract

Based on the initial discussion with people form Mosquito coil factory, there is a requirement to calculate the amount of waste from the factory. According to them, several wastes (in the form of liquid and solid waste) are produced in the process of making mosquito coils. The wastes are often scattered on the floor, causing the condition of the factory space to be unclean or dirty and can cause employees to get sick due to waste scattered on the floor. This research focuses on identifying the waste and to calculate the waste produced by each machine for the production of mosquito coils by using the Material Balance method. Material balance shows a quantitative analysis of material inputs, outputs and wastes / waste at each stage of the production process. Material balance calculation is done in the process of Sifting Coconut Shell Flour, Sifting Process for Coffee Skin Flour, Process for Sifting Wood Flour, Sifting Flour Sifting Process, Onggok Flour Cooking Process, Mixing Material into Mosquito Coe Dough, Mosquito Dough Sifting Process, Forming Process of Paste Paste Plate , The Process of Printing Paste Slabs Into Wet Double Coil, Drying Double Wet Coil Process, Drying and Separation Process of Baking Sheet with Dry Double Coil, Grinding Process of Broken Dry Double Coil, Process of Sifting Sweep Flour Falling on the Floor. Based on the observation, some of the waste obtained from each stage of the production process can be collected again and can be used again as a raw material for making mosquito coils.

Abstract

Persyaratan Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri (TKDN) adalah ketentuan yang diterapkan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia untuk memaksimalkan potensi investasi asing di dalamnya. Salah satu cara untuk mengevaluasi TKDN adalah dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak untuk melakukan evaluasi secara berkala. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi oleh CV Mulia Rattan adalah kurangnya evaluasi terhadap komponen-komponen bahan baku dari produk rotan yang telah dihasilkan. Perancangan perangkat lunak evaluasi TKDN untuk CV Mulia rattan ini dimulai dengan survei lokasi, dilanjutkan dengan observasi, penyuluhan, serta pelatihan penggunaan perangkat lunak. Perangkat lunak yang telah dirancang akan digunakan oleh CV Mulia Rattan untuk membantu dalam mengevaluasi TKDN pada produk furniture rotan mereka, baik untuk kebutuhan lelang di pasar domestik maupun persiapan ekspor ke pasar global. Hasil dari sosialisasi dan perancangan perangkat lunak menunjukkan kemampuan evaluasi pada 90% produk CV Mulia Rattan telah menunjukkan nilai TKDN 100%.Kata kunci: tingkat komponen dalam negeri, evaluasi, perangkat lunak

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada proyek konstruksi yang berada di wilayah Sumatera Utara. Proyek ini berfokus pada Pembangunan Bendungan yaitu Main Dam dan Cofferdam sebagai upaya untuk mengendalikan banjir dan pemenuhan kebutuhan air baku di salah satu kota di Sumatera Utara. Proyek pembangunan bendungan ini membutuhkan material timbunan dengan volume yang sangat besar. Siklus hauling material dari quarry menuju bendungan dimulai dengan memuat material di quarry menggunakan excavator. Material tersebut kemudian diangkut menuju bendungan sejauh 18 km menggunakan dump truk. Setelah tiba di area timbunan bendungan, dilakukan proses pembongkaran muatan menggunakan bulldozer. Kondisi di Lokasi proyek menunjukkan bahwa waktu siklus (cycle time) hauling material dari quarry menuju bendungan kemudian kembali ke quarry berfluktuasi. Hal ini juga berdampak terhadap hasil produksi hauling material. Hasil produksi hauling material yang berfluktuasi disebabkan oleh dinamika pada pengerjaan proyek yang disebabkan oleh faktor teknis maupun non teknis sehingga menyebabkan penyelesaian proyek melebihi waktu yang telah direncanakan sebelumnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi hauling material timbunan dari quarry ke lokasi proyek konstruksi bendungan dan menentukan manajemen operasionalnya. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi hauling material timbunan dari quarry ke lokasi proyek konstruksi bendungan sehingga mengakibatkan tidak tercapainya target produksi harian adalah faktor manusia, faktor material, faktor metode, faktor mesin/peralatan dan faktor lingkungan. Berdasarkan faktor-faktor tersebut, maka manajemen operasional pada hauling material timbunan dari quarry ke lokasi proyek konstruksi bendungan yaitu melakukan pengawasan secara intens terhadap jadwal kegiatan proyek, membuat metode kerja yang sesuai dengan keadaan di lokasi proyek, menjalin komunikasi dan koordinasi secara terstruktur, melakukan perawatan terhadap alat berat secara teratur, pelatihan dan evaluasi secara rutin, dan membuat SOP yang jelas untuk setiap tahapan pengerjaan di lokasi proyek konstruksi bendungan.

Abstract

Indonesia, with its abundant cultural riches, faces challenges in preserving the traditional Batak cloth, Ulos, which is now threatened by globalization and foreign cultural claims. Ulos, which has been designated as Indonesia's Intangible Cultural Heritage (WBTb) since October 17 2014, has not yet received international recognition from UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) list. This recognition is very important to increase global awareness about Ulos and the need for its preservation. Considering these challenges, this research proposes the creation of "Ulos Heritage: Mixed Reality-based Interactive Museum" as an innovative solution to preserve and promote Ulos. This museum was designed with an interactive technology approach, using mixed reality to create a memorable and immersive experience for visitors. This approach involves presenting the collection in an appropriate atmosphere and providing a hands-on experience through augmented and virtual reality technologies. Design methods include literature studies, site surveys, and distributing questionnaires to ensure designs that suit visitor needs. This museum will be located in Medan City, North Sumatra, with facilities including an exhibition area, interactive space and souvenir area. This initiative aims to strengthen public understanding of Ulos and support global recognition as a cultural heritage that must be preserved.

Abstract

Indonesia as a tropical country has enormous potential to develop renewable energy with the help of technological advances to produce and develop more environmentally friendly energy. Because it is clean without waste gas and has few moving components, the use of solar cells or sunlight is very popular and is one way to convert solar energy into electrical energy. Schools that lack electrical power for teaching and learning activities can apply one of these methods of using solar energy. The partner of our service is the Dharma Pala Medan Private Elementary School, with a total of 38 students and a total of 6 teachers. The methods/stages of activities include partner surveys, program planning, outreach, designing and assembling a solar tracking system, equipment installation, partner education, and gradual program evaluation. The method used for data collection was interviews with teachers and students. The intensity of lighting in learning has a close relationship with eye fatigue so that it will interfere with learning concentration which will have an impact on students' interest in learning. Environmental factors such as lighting can have a positive and significant impact on a person's level of boredom

Abstract

This community service activity aims to find solutions to the problems faced by the Aisyiyah Organization mothers in Kampung Dadap, Medan, regarding the utilization of kasgot, a residue from household organic waste processing using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots. The partners own agricultural land that requires additional nutrients to produce high-quality crops. Kasgot fertilizer is rich in amino acids and microorganisms that enhance soil nutrients without harming the environment. To reduce chemical fertilizer use, partners were trained to process kasgot with starch, molasses, and rice bran into solid granular organic fertilizer. The outcome is an eco-friendly, sustainable organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Waste cooking oil or what is commonly known as used cooking oil or Waste Cooking Oil (WCO) is one of the biggest contributors to waste in Indonesia. Waste cooking oil can have a negative impact on health and the environment, so it needs to be recycled into economically valuable products such as soap and candles. Through the results of surveys and FGDs with partners, this community service activity aims to find solutions to the problems faced by partners (Al-Kahfi Medan Foundation), namely the less-than-optimal use of used cooking oil from frying from partners' environments which are surrounded by the homes of residents who process food in the kitchen. So, this service aims to process used cooking oil as raw material for making aromatherapy candles. The object of this research is economically unproductive people, namely children at the Al-Kahfi Foundation in Medan. The used cooking oil is recycled as the main raw material and with the addition of stearic acid and aromatherapy, aromatherapy candles are produced which can be used by partners both for daily needs and for sale as business partners in seeking financial income. The aim of adding aromatherapy is to scent the entire room, thereby creating a comfortable sensation for those who inhale it. So in making it, adequate skills are needed so that they can produce quality products with high selling value by utilizing used cooking oil. The service that has been carried out is going well. Socialization activities accompanied by a direct manufacturing process make partners understand and enthusiastic about participating in this program.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the consistency and suitability of the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH) in bakery MSMEs based on the Halal Product Assurance System (HAS) regulations in Indonesia, with an emphasis on environmental impacts and operational sustainability. Methodology: The research method used is qualitative descriptive observational. Results: The results of this study indicate that Rumah Roti UMKM has met 10 of the 11 criteria in the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), However, there is one criterion that has not been met, namely internal audit. Rumah Roti only conducts an internal audit once a year, which is considered insufficient to ensure compliance with halal standards and environmentally friendly practices consistently. Overall, although Rumah Roti has been quite good at implementing SJPH, improvements in internal audits are needed so that halal compliance and sustainability can be better maintained in the long term. Applications/Originality/Value: This study not only analyzes the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (HAS) in bakery MSMEs, but also emphasizes the environmental impact and operational sustainability. The focus on environmental aspects in halal certification is still rarely studied in the context of food MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Generasi muda di Indonesia perlu mempelajari pemrograman android untuk menghadapi tantangan era digital dan memenuhi kebutuhan industri. Dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun ke depan, Indonesia membutuhkan 9 juta talenta digital dan adopsi teknologi digital dapat menciptakan 4-23 juta pekerjaan baru di tahun 2030. Pemrograman android menjadi keterampilan penting yang dibutuhkan di masa depan, dan MIT App Inventor adalah platform yang sangat berguna untuk mempelajarinya. Oleh karena itu, kami berniat untuk memberikan pelatihan pemrograman Android dengan menggunakan platform MIT App Inventor kepada siswa/i Pesantren Darularafah Raya. Dengan adanya pelatihan pemrograman Android ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif pada keterampilan, kreativitas, dan inovasi siswa/i Pesantren Darularafah Raya, serta meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan mengembangkan ekosistem digital yang lebih berkembang. Dari hasil pelatihan diperoleh bahwa keterampilan pemrograman Android menjadi salah satu kompetensi yang sangat dibutuhkan di era teknologi informasi yang semakin maju, dan pelatihan ini telah memberikan bekal pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang relevan kepada siswa/i Pesantren Darularafah Raya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat menjadi model yang dapat diadopsi oleh Lembaga pendidikan lainnya dalam memanfaatkan teknologi dan mengembangkan keterampilan yang relevan guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di era digital.
