Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the partial and simultaneous effect of compensation (X1) and motivation (X2) on the performance of employees (Y) of the Pharmacy in Purwareja Klampok District. The data collection technique in this study used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used by researchers were questionnaires and interviews using multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS 26 to 38 respondents as a sample and the population taken was all Pharmacy employees in Purwareja Klampok District with the specified characteristics. This study uses a type of quantitative research. Based on the results of this study, the compensation variable using the T test obtained a t table of 2.030 while the t count was -1.184, the motivational variable t table was 2.030 and the t count was 8.315, then the employee performance variable using the F test obtained an f table of 3.259 with sig. 0.05 while the f count is 48.504. Then the conclusions obtained are that compensation does not affect performance, motivation influences performance, and compensation and motivation simultaneously affect employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R-Square) is 0.720, which means that 72% of employee performance variables can be explained by independent variables, the remaining 28%, which means that they are influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This study develops a Workplace Learning (WPL) model based on the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) to enhance workforce competitiveness in Indonesia’s industrial sector. Addressing the existing competency gap between workforce skills and industry demands, this research integrates formal, informal, and experience-based learning approaches. Using grounded theory, data were collected from state-owned fertilizer companies, including annual reports and HR policy documents. The findings reveal that a combination of structured training, mentoring, on-the-job training, job rotation, and industry practice significantly boosts workforce competencies. Certification processes and managerial support, including career planning and competency-based recruitment, emerge as critical elements in aligning learning programs with industry needs. The developed model not only adheres to national standards but also aligns with global demands, fostering innovation, employee engagement, and long-term competitiveness. This study provides practical insights for industries and governments to design sustainable human resource development strategies. The proposed model highlights the importance of integrating WPL with national qualification frameworks, ensuring workforce adaptability and productivity in facing rapid technological advancements. Companies can leverage this model to build a more resilient and agile workforce, while policymakers may use it to bridge skill gaps and drive economic growth. By aligning education, training, and industry practices, the study contributes to improving labor mobility and promoting equitable workforce development, ultimately positioning Indonesia’s industrial sector competitively in the global market.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the potential of Rat Island as a marine ecotourism destination as well as a contextualized physics learning environment. Using the descriptive qualitative method and literature review support, data were obtained through field observations and literature analysis related to sediment topography, climate, and physics concepts such as ocean waves and tree height measurements. Previous research stated that Rat Island has marine ecotourism potential that can be used as contextual physics learning material. Observation activities in the natural laboratory of Rat Island by Master of Science Education students succeeded in increasing the enthusiasm for learning and inquiry skills. Physics analysis related to tree height measurement provides a deep understanding of physics concepts that can be applied in everyday life. In addition, the research showed the tidal pattern on Rat Island as a periodic physical phenomenon that can be studied and predicted. The concept of Rat Island as a natural laboratory supports its potential as a place for learning and experimentation while supporting environmental conservation efforts. Overall, Rat Island has great potential as a source of contextual physics learning and a sustainable marine ecotourism destination. Keywords: Rat Island, Physics Learning, Tidal Wave, Natural Laboratory.

Abstract

Strengthening workforce competitiveness in Indonesia requires workplace learning aligned with the Indonesian Qualifications Framework. This study aimed to identify and validate the latent structure of IQF based workplace learning and to outline an evaluation instrument and policy levers. We conducted an online cross-sectional survey of 400 workers across all provinces and applied exploratory factor analysis with polychoric correlations, oblimin rotation, parallel analysis, and a scree examination, complemented by content analysis of an open-ended question. Sampling adequacy was excellent with KMO 0.96 and Bartlett significance p under 0.001. Four coherent dimensions emerged that together explained about 65 percent of variance. Structured Competency Development captured structured training, standards, research, human resource planning, and certification. Performance Management and Workload gathered assignment, workload, remuneration, performance, and knowledge sharing. Experience Based Learning covered mentoring, internship, coaching, and job rotation. Educational Qualifications was defined chiefly by education level. Model fit was strong with RMSR 0.03 and moderate inter factor correlations, and qualitative keywords on work, skills, and experience converged with these factors. The study contributes a theoretically integrated IQF aligned model and a ready blueprint for measurement and auditing. Practically it informs policy and industry programs that link training with research and technology, formalise mentoring, reward knowledge sharing in performance systems, and map careers to qualification levels, and the instrument can audit learning ecosystems and guide resource allocation across priority sectors.
