Abstract

Suprvision isa series ofsupervisory activities carried out by a supervisor or headmaster on teacher performance, supervision activities at PAUD level have been regulated in Permendikbud No. 137 of 2014 concerning National Standards for PAUD implementation,but inreality not all PAUD institutions carry out supervision activities according to government policy,so the purpose of this study was to determine the urgency of supervision to improve theacher performance in Al Muttaqin Plus PAUD. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with participatory observation data collection techniques. And data analysis techniques using data reduction. Based on results and discussion in this study, it was found that the supervision activities carried out by the school principal hada positive impact on the performance of PAUD Al Muttaqin Plus teachers.

Abstract

Leadership or often called leadership according to the literal meaning is days lead or the quality of the leader. The leadership is an activity or art to influence the behavior of people who are led to be willing to work together towards one goal that is set or desired together. While the development of human resources is an effort to develop existing in an educational institution. The focus of this research is to explore the leadership pattern of a madrasah head in order to develop human resources, in this case educators and educational staff. This research uses a descriptive method carried out through data collection in the field giving an overview of madrasah head leadership, this research approach uses qualitative approach This research data in the form of quotes, words, phrases, and story sentences. Data sources in this study were observations of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 2 Kedungbanteng Tanggulangin.

Abstract

Thematic learning in the 2013 curriculum requires students to be more active and think critically. The ability to think critically is essential for students, especially facing the challenges of the 4.0 era. In reality, the elementary school students in Tanggulangin cannot yet think critically. Most students answer essay questions without being able to describe them in detail. This study was conducted to analyze how the application and results of the mind mapping learning model improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is the class action research method. The object of his research was a grade V student of the Elementary School in Tanggulangin. The techniques used in this study are observation and test techniques. The results showed: (1) The application of the mind mapping learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills was carried out in 4 stages compiling an Action design, applying a mind mapping learning model, observing the results obtained from the application of the mind mapping model and evaluation. (2) The results of the mind mapping learning model show that the percentage of students' critical thinking ability with mind mapping media has increased from cycle 1 to cycle two by 24.15%. Further research is expected to be carried out with diverse respondents, with more than two-cycle stages, to analyze the percentage of the graph produced more significantly

Abstract

The government implemented the online learning system when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out. Online learning impacts the character development of student responsibilities such as discipline in doing assignments on time, carrying out obligations as students, and the ability to cooperate with groups because teachers do not supervise students directly in class. In fact, according to Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, national education aims to shape students' disposition. Responsibility is one characteristic that plays an essential role for students in forming dispositions in school. This study aims to analyze the character of student responsibility during limited face-to-face learning after the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects in this study were students and homeroom teachers at SDN Kalitengah II Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo. The data collection method is carried out qualitatively. The results of this study show that student responsibilities are well demonstrated by the established indicators of student responsibility character. Further research is expected to be carried out with different types of characters, carried out learning reflections, and coupled with quantitative method validation.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study conducted at Mi Ma'arif Kedungsolo aimed to explore the strengthening of independent character values through blended learning models during the Covid-19 period. The research subjects included principals, teachers, students, and parents. Data was collected from July to December 2021 using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques, with data validity checked through technical triangulation. The findings revealed that learning was conducted through a blended approach, with students divided into two groups: those studying at home and those attending classes. Various online platforms such as WhatsApp, YouTube, and Instagram Live were utilized to facilitate learning. The instilling of independent character values was emphasized by teachers through assigning schoolwork that required independent problem-solving and direct interaction with teachers. However, the study identified obstacles to the implementation of blended learning, including limited material explanation and an overreliance on assigning tasks solely via WhatsApp. The implications of this study underscore the importance of addressing these challenges to foster effective blended learning environments that promote independent character development among students. Highlights: Blended learning during Covid-19: Examining the implementation of blended learning models to adapt to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring continuity of education and fostering independent character values. Strengthening independent character values: Investigating how teachers emphasize independence in student assignments and the role of blended learning in cultivating independent character values among students at Mi Ma'arif Kedungsolo. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the self-regulated learning model on student learning independence during the COVID-19 pandemic in grade 4 SDN Kedung Solo Porong. This type of research is a quantitative experiment with the type of pre-experimental designs in the form of one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument in this study uses pretest and posttest questionnaire instruments. The samples in this study were 4th grade students at SDN Kedung Solo. The results showed that there was an effect of the self-regulated learning model on students' independent learning which was obtained t count = 4.415, so the t table was 2.040. Because 4,415 > 2,040 Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it means that there is a significant difference. The calculation of the large influence test shows that 0.69 > 0.14 which interprets the self regulated learning model on student learning independence during the covid 19 pandemic in grade 4 SDN Kedung Solo Porong by 48.59 % in the category of big influence. Highlights: The self-regulated learning model significantly improves student learning independence during the COVID-19 pandemic. Grade 4 students at SDN Kedung Solo Porong benefited from the self-regulated learning approach. The self-regulated learning model had a substantial impact, influencing student learning independence by 48.59%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy in providing strengthening the honest character of third grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kedung Banteng during the covid-19 period, to find out the obstacles faced by teachers in strengthening the honest character of third grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kedung Banteng during the covid-19 period. 19. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, and students at Mi Muhammadiyah 2 Kedung Banteng. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used steps of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data using triangulation of data sources and techniques. The results showed that the strategy used by the teacher to implement character education in the teaching and learning process in the classroom was by being an example for students and teaching moral values ​​in each lesson. There are 4 inhibiting factors in efforts to build the character of third grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kedung Banteng. Limited time, Lack of attention from parents of students, Influence of the surrounding environment, Lack of communication. Highlights: Teacher as a role model: The teacher's strategy involves being an example for students and imparting moral values in every lesson, fostering honesty in third-grade students. Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the disciplinary character and responsibility of students during offline learning. This study used a descriptive qualitative type. In this study, the data collection techniques used include observations, interviews, and documentation with the subject of 3 grade III students and 1 class III teacher. The results of this study show that after online learning students lack discipline in the aspect of arriving on time, abide by the rules or rules of the common/school. While in character responsibility students are lacking in terms of deeds and work on group assignments together. On the indicators of discipline students are good enough in doing or collecting assignments according to the specified time and follow the rules of good and correct language. Meanwhile, in the indicator of responsibility, students have carried out picketing well. Highlights: Offline learning and discipline: Highlighting the lack of discipline in arriving on time and following school rules after online learning. Responsibility and group work: Emphasizing students' deficiency in terms of deeds and working on group assignments together. Indicators of discipline and responsibility: Noting students' satisfactory performance in completing assignments on time and following rules of language, but also their successful picketing. Abstract

This quantitative research aimed to investigate the impact of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) learning model on the cognitive learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in science at Ash-Shiddiqiyah Elementary School. The study employed an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach. The results revealed a significant improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes, as evidenced by a t-test value of 18.589, surpassing the critical t-value of 2.131. The calculated effect size (eta squared) of 0.95 indicated a substantial influence of the SAVI learning model on the students' science learning outcomes. These findings have important implications for educators and policymakers, highlighting the potential of innovative teaching methodologies to enhance students' academic achievements in science education. Highlights: The study examines the impact of the SAVI learning model on cognitive learning outcomes in Grade IV Science. The experimental design employed a pre-test and post-test approach to evaluate the effectiveness of the SAVI learning model. Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of a child-friendly library at SDN Pagerwojo Sidoarjo and to describe the reading interest of high-class students at SDN Pagerwojo Sidoarjo. This type of research uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection techniques used by researchers are observation, interviews, and documentation. From the results of data analysis conducted by interviewing several parties, it can be said that the management of the child-friendly library at SDN Pagerwojo is good in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. With the results of good management and good implementation, the reading interest of high-class students has begun to grow. In the data analysis conducted by researchers, it was found that there are obstacles in managing child-friendly libraries, namely library management has not yet led to digital library management. Highlights: Effective library management fosters students' reading interest: The study explores the impact of child-friendly library management on the reading interest of high-class students at SDN Pagerwojo Sidoarjo. Comprehensive approach to library management: The research highlights the importance of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating library services to create an engaging environment for students.
