Abstract

Thematic learning in the 2013 curriculum requires students to be more active and think critically. The ability to think critically is essential for students, especially facing the challenges of the 4.0 era. In reality, the elementary school students in Tanggulangin cannot yet think critically. Most students answer essay questions without being able to describe them in detail. This study was conducted to analyze how the application and results of the mind mapping learning model improve students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is the class action research method. The object of his research was a grade V student of the Elementary School in Tanggulangin. The techniques used in this study are observation and test techniques. The results showed: (1) The application of the mind mapping learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills was carried out in 4 stages compiling an Action design, applying a mind mapping learning model, observing the results obtained from the application of the mind mapping model and evaluation. (2) The results of the mind mapping learning model show that the percentage of students' critical thinking ability with mind mapping media has increased from cycle 1 to cycle two by 24.15%. Further research is expected to be carried out with diverse respondents, with more than two-cycle stages, to analyze the percentage of the graph produced more significantly

Abstract

The government implemented the online learning system when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out. Online learning impacts the character development of student responsibilities such as discipline in doing assignments on time, carrying out obligations as students, and the ability to cooperate with groups because teachers do not supervise students directly in class. In fact, according to Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, national education aims to shape students' disposition. Responsibility is one characteristic that plays an essential role for students in forming dispositions in school. This study aims to analyze the character of student responsibility during limited face-to-face learning after the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects in this study were students and homeroom teachers at SDN Kalitengah II Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo. The data collection method is carried out qualitatively. The results of this study show that student responsibilities are well demonstrated by the established indicators of student responsibility character. Further research is expected to be carried out with different types of characters, carried out learning reflections, and coupled with quantitative method validation.

Abstract

Keterampilan sosial memegang peranan penting dalam kehidupan anak usia dini, anak dapat dapat berkomunikasi, bersosialisasi, serta berinteraksi bersama teman sebaya atau orang lain yang ada di lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak melalui permainan Make A Match. Peneliti menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas sebagai metode penelitian untuk mendapatkan hasil yang diharapkan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Pada siklus I kegiatan bermain Make A Match dibagi menjadi enam kelompok, satu kelompok terdiri dari dua anak. Saat kegiatan berlangsung anak mencari pasangan sesuai kartu yang telah diperoleh dan mencari partner sesuai pasangannya. Siklus satu nilai yang belum memenuhi target yang direncanakan. Dilanjutkan tindakan siklus dua, peneliti membagi menjadi empat kelompok, masing-masing terdiri dari tiga anak. Kartu yang dibagi terdapat tiga jenis, yaitu: kartu bergambar, kartu bayangan, dan kartu angka. Di siklus ini anak mencari pasangan sesuai dengan jumlah gambar berwarna dan jumlah gambar bayangan yang dicocokkan dengan angkanya. Hasil tindakan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan social sesuai dengan target yang direncanakan.

Abstract

Partisipasi PAUD di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah, mengingat usia 5-6 tahun banyak berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar. Pramuka prasiaga merupakan kegiatan yang memberikan kebebasan anak berinteraksi bersama teman-temannya. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pramuka prasiaga mengasah keterampilan sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara Guru Pembina, Kepala Sekolah serta Guru Kelas dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan anak aktif mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan pramuka prasiaga yang dilaksanakan di luar kelas dengan Guru Pembina, orang tua dan sarana prasarana menjadi faktor pendukung dalam terasahnya keterampilan sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun, keterampilan sosial yang tampak meliputi percakapan, saling pengertian, bekerja sama, keterbukaan, berempati, motivasi, rasa positif dan rasa kesetaraan. Faktor penghambatnya yaitu jadwal pramuka prasiaga berbenturan dengan kegiatan lain, kondisi cuaca menghambat anak berkegiatan di luar kelas serta peselisihan antar anak saling berdiam diri hingga tidak saling berinteraksi.

Abstract

Creative thinking ability is the ability to create an idea to solve a problem. SDN Glagaharum is one of the elementary schools that has a relatively low creative thinking ability, this can be seen from the ability of students to understand the material in the Merdeka curriculum. To address this, researchers explored the use of the flipped classroom learning model. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing how the flipped classroom model affects the basic creative thinking skills of school students in implementing the Merdeka curriculum. Employing a quantitative experiment, the Posttest Only Control Group Design was employed with a population of 40 fourth-grade students from SDN Glagaharum. Two samples, IV-A (experiment class with 20 students) and IV-B (control class with 20 students), were utilized. Data analysis included normality and homogeneity tests, along with paired sample t-test conducted in SPSS 26. The findings revealed that the flipped classroom learning model had a significant effect on the creative thinking ability of fourth-grade students at SDN Glagaharum within the context of the Merdeka curriculum.

Abstract

Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini guru TK masih belum maksimal dalam memberikan kegiatan yang dapat menstimulasi pergelangan tangan dan mata pada motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pembelajaran cooking class dalam mengembangkan keterampilan motorik halus anak serta faktor pendukung dan tantangan. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dengan guru kelas A dan guru pendamping, dan dokumentasi saat pembelajaran cooking class berlangsung. Hasil penelitian pada cooking class yaitu anak dapat melatih motorik halus dengan baik contohnya seperti, membuat jus tomat, menyusun roti sandwich dengan unik, mewarnai buah dengan rapi dan tidak coretan diluar garis. Pembelajaran cooking class dapat menjadi metode yang efektif serta menyenangkan dan interaktif dalam mengembangkan dan merangsang kemampuan motorik halus pada anak usia dini. Kerjasama dengan guru, siswa, dan orang tua juga menjadi suatu faktor penting dalam mensukseskan kegiatan pembelajaran ini. Dukungan orang tua dalam menyediakan bahan dan alat, serta komunikasi antara guru dan wali murid, membantu menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pembelajaran anak-anak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Critical Thinking of students by implementing a project-based learning model in science subjects. This research method uses Descriptive Qualitative method. By using the source triangulation technique to obtain and process data. This research was conducted at SDN Celep 1 Sidoarjo with the primary subject of class teachers and grade IV students, while the secondary subject of this research is the learning outcomes of students obtained from teachers and supporting data in the form of literature. Based on the results of research data analysis through interviews, observations, analysis of the process and student learning outcomes, it shows that learning using projects can improve students' Critical Thinking. In addition, students can find out how to make projects with high precision. Based on the researcher's observations, it can be concluded that each stage of implementing a project-based learning model can develop one of the dimensions of the Pancasila Learner Profile, namely Critical Thinking. So that learners get better information from their learning experience.

Abstract

The management of character education strengthening is a leadership effort in planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating student’s strengthening character, specifically during the pandemic Covid-19. The purpose of this thesis to analyze educational planning, organization, implementation and give an evaluation of the students strengthening character education during pandemic Covid-19 at Creative School of Muhammadiyah 2 elementary school 2 tulangan sidoarjo. This research used qualitative approaches with the subjects of the research are taken from the Principal, Vice-Principals, extracurricular teachers, Qur’an teachers, teachers, and Parents. This research was taken at Creative School of Muhamadiyah 2 Elementary School Tulangan Sidoarjo. Data collection techniques used in this research was interviews and observations. The data analysis technique in this research include data, reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. The result of this research indicate that: (1) The management planning of character education strengthening for students during the Pandemic Covid-19 at the Creative School of Muhammadiyah 2 Tulangan has implemented all the stages include planning and strategy, program socialization, administration and the learning media. (2) Organizing the students character of education strengthening during the pandemic Covid-19 at the Creative School of Muhammadiyah 2 Tulangan has been implemented by all of the stake holder to grow and achieve good habit easily. (3) The implementation of students character during the pandemic Covid-19 at the Creative School of Muhammadiyah 2 elementary school Tulangan Sidoarjo can be run quite well and effectively which is divided into 4 activities, those are: daily activities, spontaneous activities, programmed activities and exemplary activities. (4) The supervisions of students character strengthening during the pandemic Covid-19 at the Creative School of Muhammadiyah 2 elementary school Tulangan Sidoarjo has been implemented by the Principal and all of the stake holders to find out how the students character strengthening has been applied. (5) Monitoring and evaluation the management of students character education during the pandemic Covid-19 at the Creative School of Muhammadiyah 2 elementary school Tulangan Sidoarjo performed by the Principal, Vice Principal to communicate the students progress to the parents. (6) Students character during the pandemic Coid-19 at the Creative School of Muhammadiyah 2 elementary school Tulangan Sidoarjo, specially the religious character has become habit among the students On the other side, most of the good character of students have been lost and decreased

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of scout extracurricular activities and to describe the strengthening of independent character in scouting activities. This study uses qualitative research methods that produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and behaviors experienced by researchers. The subjects of this study were 4 grade VI students and grade VI scout coaches. in the field. The value of the Persami activity is that students are able to participate in these activities with enthusiasm and enthusiasm. The second is on the value of not depending on others, the value of being able to understand the material and complete assignments without bothering others, the value of confidence in completing assignments, students are also capable and finally the value of ability in making decisions students are also capable of this. Highlights: Active Participation: Scout activities foster enthusiasm and engagement among students, encouraging their active involvement in the extracurricular program. Development of Self-Reliance: Through assignments and tasks, students cultivate a sense of self-reliance, enhancing their ability to comprehend and complete tasks independently. Confidence and Decision-making: Participation in scouting builds students' confidence in task completion and decision-making skills, promoting their overall competence. Abstract

This study aimed to improve the speaking skills of children by utilizing Pop-Up book media, preceded by developing their listening skills. Conducted at Dharma Wanita Persatuan Pucang Kindergarten, the research employed Classroom Action Research methodology. The pre-cycle results revealed a 51.4% average score for children's speaking ability. However, after implementing the Pop-Up book media in the first cycle, the percentage increased significantly to 68.5%, showing a 12.9% improvement from the maximum score. The researcher continued to apply action in cycle II, leading to a remarkable rise in the average score to 85.3%, signifying an overall enhancement of 28.9% from cycles I and II. The results demonstrate that employing Pop-Up book media effectively enhances children's speaking skills, carrying implications for language skill development in early childhood education. Highlights: The use of Pop-Up book media: The study focuses on utilizing Pop-Up book media to enhance children's speaking skills, providing an engaging and interactive learning approach. Classroom Action Research: The research methodology employed is Classroom Action Research, enabling a systematic investigation of the effectiveness of the intervention. Language development in early childhood: The study highlights the importance of language skill development during early childhood education, emphasizing its implications for lifelong language proficiency.
