Abstract

Punthuk Ngepoh Tourism Village is a tourist village located in Banjararum Village. The pioneer in the formation of this Tourism Village was the Arum Jaya Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS). Based on data from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia, there is the most amount of waste in household waste, namely 65.15%. So, there is a need for socialization activities for the Punthuk Ngepoh Tourism Village community. The method used in this activity is the delivery of material, understanding and knowledge by calculating the level of community understanding before and after the material is carried out, by distributing questionnaires. The target of this activity is the community of Punthuk Ngepoh Tourism Village, Banjararum Village, Kalibawang District, Kulon Progo Regency. The results obtained through this activity are that there is an increase in community understanding by 47% in the scope of knowledge about healthy homes, by 33% in the scope of knowledge about the conditions for healthy homes, by 20% in the scope of knowledge about the benefits of healthy homes, and by 67% in knowledge about the application of healthy homes

Abstract

Detergent is a cleaning material widely used in households. It comes in liquid, cream, and powder forms. Despite having the same function, they differ in their forms. Previously, liquid soap was only used for cleaning kitchen utensils, but now it is also used for laundry purposes because it is practical and removes oil stains effectively. The examination turns out that making liquid detergent is easy and people can make this themselves at a low cost. In order to expand the knowledge of PKK Mother’s Association in RT05 RW09, Wonosalam, Sukoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman, Yogyakarta, the head of the RT05 proposed the Head of LPPM to grant permission for instructors from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering at IST AKPRIND to provide training on making liquid detergent for laundry on Sunday, October 9, 2022. The community service activity conducted to provide knowledge on how to economically produce liquid detergent compared to products sold in the market, and ensure that this knowledge can serve as a foundation for entrepreneurship. The activity is carried out through the stages of licensing, training, and mentoring that provide information on economical side of liquid detergent, the materials that can be used, and the steps of production. Participants in this community service activity  practicing making liquid detergent under the guidance of expert  from IST AKPRIND. The training process runs smoothly, with many mom enthusiastically participating.

Abstract

Aquaponics is a method for cultivating fish and vegetables at the same time. This method can increase family food security, such as by utilizing fish ponds or limited land. West Krasak Village is a residential area located in the center of Yogyakarta city with limited land conditions. Therefore, the village community needs to receive training on implementing aquaponics in their environment to utilize limited land and increase family food security. This training involved a team of lecturers and students from Universitas AKPRIND Indonesia. This training lasted for 3 hours, starting with introductions of team members, delivery of material, practice of aquaponic installation in front of the participants, distribution of chili seeds to the participants, and installation of aquaponic samples directly in one of the residents' ponds. This activity received extraordinary enthusiasm from residents and was able to increase public knowledge about this matter. Chili seeds measuring 10 cm can also be planted directly by the community. It is hoped that this activity can become a model for the community around West Krasak Village so that aquaponics can become a positive side activity for residents that produces positive results of fish and vegetables.

Abstract

PT Hari Mukti Teknik is a company engaged in the Manufacturing Industry that produces laundry machines and other mechanical engineering. The problem that occurs in the production process at PT Hari Mukti Teknik is the performance of the bending machine which has a high downtime value of an average of 994 minutes per month. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of the bending machine by knowing the level of effectiveness of the performance of the bending machine using the OEE method, knowing the causes of losses that affect the level of effectiveness of machine performance, using the six big losses method and analyzing losses using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)  methods to propose improvement efforts. Based on the results of data processing, the average Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of bending machines in one year is 84.21%, with the largest losses being equipment failure losses of 7.34%. Proposed improvements based on FMEA and FTA analysis are to carry out periodic maintenance, make a predictive maintenance list, carry out periodic re-checks, carry out periodic lubrication, check environmental cleanliness, and replace damaged components.

Abstract

The results obtained from the RCS worksheet show that there is 1 unit of high critical category component, 10 units of medium critical category component and 4 units of low critical category component. Calculation of component requirements for the next 12 months using the Poisson process obtained the total requirement for 4 months of critical component spare parts to be able to meet 95% availability of v-belt mixers is 7 units (12 months = 21 units), hydraulic rubber requires 4 units (12 months=12 units), and vibrating v-belt system requires 2 units (12 months = 6 units). Order size and costs incurred for 4 months for 7 units of v-belt mixer component spare parts of IDR 569,500 (12 months = IDR 1,708,500), 4 units of hydraulic rubber components IDR 653,800 (12 months = IDR 1,961,400) and a v-belt system component of 2 units of IDR 103,300 (12 months = IDR 309,900). The total inventory cost for the 12 months that the company has to pay for the three critical component spare parts is IDR 3,979,800.

Abstract

The production process is said to be good when it produces products that are in accordance with the standards set by the company without any product defects. The company uses the six sigma method as a quality control tool to reduce product defects by implementing the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) steps. Six Big Losses and FMEA to analyze the dominant factors that cause defective products and identify defects in concrete buis. This study aims to find out which companies implement quality control using the Six Sigma method. Based on the Six Big Losses analysis, the highest losses were process defect losses of 57.84% and equipment failures of 32.38%. There are 6 critical wastes out of a total of 13 wastes with the highest RPN value, which is caused by a human error of 180. The Sigma value is 3.06 or still within the control limits. Following are some recommendations for improvement that can be given to the company: carry out quality control at each stage of the production process, evaluate the workforce, contract with suppliers of prime quality materials, provide adequate raw material warehouses
