Main objectives of this research are to analyze the increase in understanding biochemistry concepts comprehensively caused by practice concept modifcation (Carbohydate-Enzyme) and analysis the effciency of practical activities caused by practice concept modifcation (Carbohydate-Enzyme). Research conducted in September through November 2015 are analytical descriptive research, there are 80 students as respondents were devided into 2 groups of treatment, namely group A as group with practice module that has not been modifed and group B with practice module that have been modifed. Paired t test result showed that group with practice module were modifed to get the score of post-test evaluation better and signifcantly different than group with practice module that has not been modifed. The validation result of practice module by students, instucture, material experts and media experts showed that practice module modifed is eligible to used as practical module in the future.

This study aims to characterize the phytochemical compounds in the endophytic fungi the bark of the Duwet (S. cumini L.). Duwet skin samples were taken from various regions in East Java, including Batu City, Malang Regency, Pasuruan Regency, Lamongan Regency, Gresik Regency, and Situbondo Regency. The method used in this research is an experiment, namely the isolation of endophytic fungi, qualitative and quantitative phytochemical content tests. The results showed that there were variations in the content of endophytic fungi in the duwet bark from one location to another. All samples of endophytic fungi isolate from Duwet stem bark contained flavonoid compounds, alkaloids, terpenoids, phenolics and tannins. Phytochemical compounds of endophytic fungi in the bark are the result of symbiosis between endophytic fungi and their host plants. Endophytic fungi live in intracellular tissue, then absorb nutrients from their host plants, and include phytochemical compounds found in the bark of the duwet plant.

Anemia is a patologies condition which the hemoglobin concentration under the normal. Anemia ferrum (Fe) deficience usually attacts to womens pragnance, that is corelated with highly abortion, mother and baby born mortality, baby borned with low weight and IQ level defences. Spinach (Amaranthus tricolor. L) are rich vegetable ferrum that is 3,9 mg/100 g. Aim the research are known the effects of spinach leaf juice to increasing hemoglobin on womens pragnance (first trimester). Result of normality, homogenity and paired-t test shown that spinach leaf juice effected increasing hemoglobin on womens pragnance at first trimester. Ability of ferrum (Fe) on spinach to increasing hemoglobin that is caused by some factors. One of it’s estimated caused by a component that effect the ferrum absorbtion in the women pragnance blood’s namely ascorbic acid. It’s compound estimated to accelerate the ferrum absorbtion in the woman pragnance blood’s.

Learning material is one of the facilities needed by students to help them find concepts and answers to their problems. There are various types of learning materials, one of which is a practical guide. Based on observations on learning materials and the learning process of Biochemistry courses at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang shows that there are no practical manuals developed and students' scientific workability is low. The aim of the research is to improve students' scientific work abilities through the implementation of guided inquiry-based biochemistry practicum books. The research method used was Classroom Action Research. Stages of Classroom Action Research include planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research instruments used were interview sheets, observations, and observations of scientific work capabilities and camera documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in students' scientific work abilities through the implementation of guided inquiry-based biochemistry practicum books from cycle I to cycle II in the amount of 36.18% to 88.8% and N-gain values of 0.84 (high criteria). Thus, this research concludes that there is an increase in students' scientific work abilities through the implementation of guided inquiry-based biochemistry practicum books.

Guna meningkatkan kinerja usaha kerupuk rumahan di desa Kembang Kabupaten Pacitan, dilaksanakanprogram pengabdian berupa pendapingan bertajuk Iptek bagi Masyarakat. Dipilih dua mitra program IbM yangsecara bersama menyusun rencana kerja, mendapatkan pelatihan produksi kerupuk dan menejemen usaha,mendapatkan bantuan peralatan, dan bantuan pendampingan pada proses produksi dan pemasaran. Programdilaksanakan mulai bulan Februari sampai dengan September 2017. Kedua varian kerupuk baru yangdihasilkan oleh kedua mitra program IbM memenuhi standar mutu gizi, mikrobiologis dan daya simpan yangbaik serta mendapatkan respon positif dari konsumen. Kinerja usaha kedua produk kerupuk varian baru jugasangat baik dengan prosentase penjualan yang sangat tinggi, yakni lebih dari 90%, jangka laku 100% yangsingkat, yakni 1-2 hari dan tingkat pengembalian biaya produksi mencapai 1,5 kali. Program IbM dapatmembuka jalan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan teknik produksi, peningkatan volum penjualan dan kinerjausaha, alternatif penjualan dalam bentuk kerupuk mentah, serta memberikan ide kreasi varian baru di masamendatang. Suku Manggarai yang bermukim di kawasan pegunungan Kecamatan Ndoso merupakan salah satu suku yang masih mempertahankan adat dan tradisi dalam penggunaan sumber daya alam khususnya tumbuhan sebagai obat tradisional. Pewarisan pengetahuan tentang tumbuhan obat tersebut dilakukan terbatas penyampaian lisan dari orang tua kepada anak dan cucu secara turun temurun dalam keluarga. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian pengembangan tentang studi etnobotani tumbuhan obat oleh masyarakat Suku Manggarai yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tumbuhan dan bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan untuk obat tradisional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan dengan 4D. Hasil validator pengembangan ensiklokpedia dari validasi ahli materi, dan media/desain sebesar 86,40%, dan 82% keduanya berkriteria sangat layak.

Based on an agreement between the PMBP team and SMA Maarif Lawang, it is necessary to carry out community service activities in the form of tutoring assistance and the use of Canva. The service aims to help master the concept of biology material that often appears in OSN questions at the Malang Regency Public and Private High School levels and to help increase student creativity in using Canva to create content and manage social media. The service method consists of four stages: Observation, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation (OPIE). The place of service is SMA Maarif Lawang, Lawang District, Malang Regency. The service instruments are observation sheets and participant enthusiasm questionnaires. The data analysis technique is descriptive quantitative. The results of the service show that the community service activities really help Maarif Lawang High School to master the concept of biology material that often appears in OSN questions at the Malang Regency Private and State High School levels and increase student creativity in using Canva to create content and manage social media. Community service activities run well and smoothly and are in accordance with the expected achievement targets.
