Abstract

This study aims to explore parents' perceptions of the importance of togetherness in the family and to examine the types of physical activities carried out by the family, including frequency, nature, and constraints. Methods Semi-structured telephone interviews were conducted with 35 parents of children aged 10 to 12 who attended schools in low, middle, and high socioeconomic status environments. Interviews were transcribed using verbatim, anonymized, and analyzed. The results showed that most parents valued family involvement in physical activity as necessary. The benefits of joint activities can increase parent-child interaction and communication, take advantage of the time together, improve mental health and physical fitness, and control weight. However, it was found that families rarely did physical activities together as a family unit, and any activities done together were usually sedentary. Schedule complexity hinders the implementation of activities with the family, in addition to busy lifestyles, differences in ages and interests of children and adults, lousy weather, and lack of access to facilities, transportation, and activity costs. In conclusion, family-based interventions must be prioritized for implementation in accommodating complex family demands and needs by taking into account the affordability and capabilities of the family. Abstract

This study attempts to use video games therapeutically, which can be used as a rationale for developing and utilizing video games as a therapeutic medium. This research method uses the PRISMA approach using the keywords "video game" and "teenagers," "mental health," and "intervention" in the Scopus electronic database, google scholar, Science Direct and Pubmed with a range of years 2018 to 2022. Based on the research results, they have identified the definition of video games along with their platforms and the use of video games to improve mental health for humans of all ages, especially adolescents. It is proven that improving the physical condition of older adults can involve the role of video games as a medium in them. In conclusion, thus, the study of the development and use of video games is urgent to help improve human health status. Keywords: Adolescent Mental Health, Therapeutic Media, Video Games

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of the bride and groom based on their experiences in obtaining pre-wedding education. This qualitative research used a phenomenological approach by conducting in-depth interviews with nine pairs of prospective brides. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological study approach is applied in this study. The collection process is carried out through in-depth interviews, recording, and documentation of activities. For triangulation needs, discussions have been conducted with religious affairs office staff who provide briefings for the prospective bride and groom. The results of the direct interview recordings were written in transcript form and analyzed using content analysis. The results showed five themes, including worries before marriage, complicated new roles, doubts about forming a happy family, urgent economic needs, and modest family support. Psychological preparation has a significant influence on the condition of family harmony, so it must be well prepared. Preparedness is needed for the bride and groom to adapt to anticipate complicated family problems. The bride and groom endeavored to obtain comprehensive education related to physical, psychological, social, and cultural changes to adapt constructively in their marriage. Abstract

This study aims to identify literacy in health institutions regarding mental health as a foundation for designing mental health literacy improvement programs. A survey was conducted with students and staff of college health education institutions to investigate the Understanding of depression, intentions to seek help, beliefs about interventions, and stigmatizing attitudes. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional and quantitative approach to determine the percentage of mental health literacy. The participants in this study were nursing students from several health institutions in Indonesia and involved staff from participating health institutions via telephone interviews. Participants answered research questions related to mental health literacy. The results showed that after the interviews were completed, 270 students (91%) and 24 staff (9%). More than 60% of students and staff can recognize depression, and most are female. Some 75% of respondents said they would seek help if they had a problem similar to the illustration for depression. However, the level of intention to seek special assistance for students is relatively low; only 20% choose a doctor, and only 2% seek the help of a counselor in dealing with mental health problems. Factors related to stigmatization include male gender, younger age, lower education level, and lack of Understanding of depression. In conclusion, there is a need for mental health literacy interventions aimed at college students, especially those who are younger, male, and with lower levels of education. A need fulfillment strategy is needed to help seek professional assistance, referring to the results of exploring the complexity of the obstacles experienced. Abstract

Complete health care is an important factor in achieving patient satisfaction. With the increase in people's living standards, so do the increasing demands of the community for quality health. This study aims to determine the quality of health services on the level of patient satisfaction. The quantitative research method uses a cross-sectional design with accidental sampling sample techniques totaling 66 respondents. The results of statistical analysis using the chi-square test obtained a value of p = 0.00. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between embodiment, reliability, reassurance, responsiveness and empathy for patient satisfaction. Quality health care is an important factor in achieving patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction is the level of feeling the patient feels that arises as a result of the performance of health services obtained after the patient compares it to exceed what he expected

Abstract

Wanita memiliki pengalaman menstruasi berbeda-beda, mulai dari tanpa keluhan hingga keluhan yang mengakibatkan rasa ketidaknyamanan dan mengganggu aktivitas. Salah satu teknik nonfarmakologis yang dapat meminimalisir nyeri saat menstruasi adalah yoga pose Cat Stretch Exercise yang mampu meningkatkan kadar hormone endrophine empat sampai lima kali sehingga berdampak menurunkan nyeri menstruasi. Penting untuk melatih yoga pose Cat Stretch Exercise pada mahasiswa agar mereka dapat mengatasi ketika nyeri muncul sehingga tidak mengganggu aktivitasnya. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa mengenai Yoga Pose Cat Stretch Exercise. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan pada 18 orang mahasiswa sekolah kesehatan di Kota Palembang, yang mempunyai keluhan nyeri saat menstruasi, dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi serta pendampingan melalui jaringan media sosial whatshapp group. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa tentang nyeri saat menstruasi dan cara mengatasinya dengan melakukan Yoga pose Cat Stretch Exercise. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa yoga pose Cat Stretch Exercise dapat mengurangi nyeri haid yang umum terjadi pada remaja. Metode ini mudah, aman dan murah sehingga sebaiknya menjadi salah satu materi yang wajib disampaikan kepada mahasiswa agar produktivitasnya tidak terhambat.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the perceptions of clients with diabetes mellitus towards fulfilling sexual needs in the internal medicine polyclinic at Lahat Hospital. The research method used was a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach and focused on this study, male clients with diabetes mellitus. This activity was carried out by distributing questionnaires at the Lahat Hospital in South Sumatra Province on 22 - 24 September 2022 with the appropriate respondent criteria. From the results of the study, it was found that people with diabetes mellitus were in the age range of 51-59 years. The results of the study showed that 93% of the respondents perceived sexual function disorders, the respondents who supported sexual function were quite large, namely 75%. Respondents who perceive no interference with sexual function, namely 40%, are due to a counter culture or deviation from cultures. The conclusion of this study is that meeting the sexual needs of people with diabetes mellitus cannot be ignored and to prevent erectile dysfunction in people with diabetes mellitus, it is necessary to pay attention to regular blood sugar control and dietary adjustments. Abstract

Mental health lay educators in the community as extensions of health workers in community health centers play an essential role in mental health programs because of the ease of reaching, close access, and understanding of the socio-cultural values of the community. However, the complexity of the problem of the performance of mental health lay educators who are shrouded in stigma has not been explored in depth, even though this fact has a tremendous impact on the recovery of the condition of people with mental disorders undergoing treatment at home. It is vital to conduct a study by exploring the experience of mental health lay educators while assisting the community in caring to increase the productivity of people with mental disorders. The purpose of this study was to identify the experiences of mental health lay educators while carrying out their duties in the community. This research is a qualitative study by applying a phenomenological empirical approach as well as direct interviews based on time agreements between researchers and informants and observing the activities of the cadres. Through the use of a purposive sampling technique, informants were gathered. The saturation of the study was obtained after conducting interviews with 6 participants. The data analysis process was carried out using the Haase adaptation of the Colaizzi method to analyze the transcripts.  The data analysis revealed four themes: various sad stories on duty, beautiful and fun stories, strands of hope as mental health lay educators, and descriptions of reasons for lay educators to persist. It is hoped that this experience will become input for community mental health program holders to pay special attention to the holistic needs of health lay educators to display their optimal performance. Abstrak: Kader kesehatan jiwa di masyarakat sebagai perpanjangan tangan tenaga kesehatan di pusat kesehatan masyarakat berperan penting dalam program kesehatan jiwa, karena kemudahan menjangkau, akses kedekatan serta pemahaman nilai sosial budaya masyarakat. Namun demikian kompleksitas permasalahan kinerja kader kesehatan jiwa yang diselimuti stigma masih belum tereksplorasi secara mendalam, padahal fakta tersebut berdampak luar biasa bagi pemulihan kondisi orang dengan gangguan jiwa yang menjalani perawatan di rumah. Penting untuk dilakukan kajian dengan mengeksplorasi pengalaman kader kesehatan jiwa selama mendampingi komunitas dalam merawat sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas orang dengan gangguan jiwa. Tujuan penelitian ini utuk mengidentifikasi pengalaman kader kesehatan jiwa selama melaksanakan tugas di masyarakat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif  dengan mengamplikasikan pendekatan fenomenologi empiris serta mewawancarai langsung berdasarkan kesepakatan waktu antara peneliti dengan informan serta mengobservasi aktivitas para kader. Informan direkrut melalui teknik purposive sampling. Satusasi penelitian diperoleh setelah melakukan wawancara terhadap 6 partisipan.  Proses analisis data dilakukan menggunakan adaptasi Haase dari metode Colaizzi digunakan untuk menganalisis transkrip. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh empat tema yaitu berbagai cerita menyedihkan dalam bertugas, kisah indah dan menyenangkan, untaian harapan sebagai kader kesehatan jiwa, uraian alasan kader tetap bertahan. Diharapkan pengalaman ini menjadi masukan bagi pemegang program penanganan kesehatan jiwa komunitas untuk memperhatikan secara khusus terhadap kebutuhan holistik kader kesehatan agar dapat menampilkan kinerja optimalnya.
