Abstract

This paper analyzes hospitality-based ecotheology in the framework of soil theology in a Covid-19 pandemic situation.The goal is for Christians to realize through biblical texts that humans are the image of God (Imago Dei) which contains the responsibility to embody God's character in the process of hospitality to nature.This research uses descriptive method and argumentative comparison using literature study.In the end, the author proves that with hospitality Christians can treat nature as a friend by building a triangular relationship between humans and God, humans and fellow humans and humans and nature as a form of love, and is supported by the success of ecotheology so far. the Covid-19 pandemic. This action starts from oneself, the church, and society with a responsible attitude, protecting, caring for and living in harmony with nature.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe Mapalus Work Ethic (mutual collaboration of Minahasa culture) in Christian-Islamic interactions in Kampung JaTon Minahasa. The approach employed is phenomenology, which involves observation and in-depth interviews. The study's findings reveal that Mapalus' local knowledge serves as a reinforcer, unifier, and adhesive for religious groups in Tondano Java, which is consistent with religious moderation indicators. Mapalus ideals and religious moderation practices in Kampung Java-Tondano include openness, togetherness, and tolerance. This study concludes that establishing religious moderation based on local wisdom is vital and relevant to execute since it positively helps building peace between religious communities.Keywords: Work ethic; Mapalus; Religious Moderation; Tondano Java.

Abstract

Knitter proposes an approach or model of dialogue that is correlational and globally responsible between various religions, namely how religious communities seek to understand each other and talk on the basis of a shared commitment to the welfare of humanity and the environment. One of the social problems faced by religious communities in Indonesia, especially in NTT, is the problem of stunting. Not only the government, religions should also pay special attention. The aim of this research is to describe multi-religious dialogue and the concept of soteriocentrism according to religions in relation to the problem of stunting in NTT. This research was conducted using a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach to see how the dialogue between religions touches the issue of stunting in NTT. Responsible dialogue between various religions as proposed by Knitter if implemented in NTT provides a strong foundation for promoting inter-religious cooperation, cross-cultural understanding, and concrete action for global human and environmental welfare, specifically in dealing with the problem of stunting in NTT. Religions are committed to working together in efforts to resolve this problem with a focus on education, empowerment and the active role of society. However, so far there has been no special program either from each religion or between religions regarding handling stunting in NTT. Stunting has not become a common basis for religions in building dialogue.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengeksplorasi atau mengkaji peran gereja dalam menangani dampak negatif fast fashion terhadap lingkungan, menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui wawancara langsung dengan jemaat dan pemimpin gereja. Fokus penelitian adalah pada bagaimana gereja dapat meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis di kalangan jemaat melalui edukasi, strategi keberlanjutan, dan dasar teologis-ekologis. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fast fashion berdampak signifikan pada lingkungan, termasuk pencemaran, limbah tekstil, dan eksploitasi tenaga kerja. Gereja memiliki potensi untuk mendorong perubahan melalui edukasi dan promosi gaya hidup berkelanjutan, meskipun dihadapkan pada tantangan internal dan resistensi masyarakat terhadap perubahan pola konsumsi. Secara teologis, artikel ini menekankan bahwa merawat ciptaan Allah adalah bagian dari panggilan iman Kristen, sehingga gereja dapat mengajak umatnya untuk lebih menyadari dampak konsumsi pakaian yang tidak berkelanjutan dan mendorong pilihan yang lebih etis dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the church's involvement in the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) as an eco-theological action. TIFF 2022 is an annual festival organized by the Tomohon City Government to increase the ecological sensitivity of the church through nature conservation, flower preservation, and improving public welfare. Tomohon City is known as the city of flowers. Therefore, this festival is carried out by the government and supported by the church, and the community to make it a national and international tourist destination. TIFF strategies and impacts have been written about, but what is unique about the findings in this article is that none of the studies describe church involvement through ecotheological studies at TIFF. The use of digital religious practices such as social media or digital apps by churches can increase ecological awareness. This article uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and literature studies. The conclusion of the study is that TIFF 2022 is an appeal to the church to preserve, preserve and be responsible for this nature. The church responded well to TIFF's activities by actively participating in planting flowers both in the yard and in the garden. On the other hand, it needs attention from the younger generation and various parties to plant flowers as an effort to green local wisdom. The TIFF 2022 study uses various fields of contextual theological ecotheology and the discipline of sociology of religion. This research needs to be followed up in the study of environmental ethics, economics, eco-pastoral, environmental education with a broader context to help readers understand TIFF.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran konseling pastoral dalam mengatasi kejenuhan kerja dan menolong pekerja menemukan kembali makna serta tujuan hidup di tengah tekanan pekerjaan. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari fenomena meningkatnya kejenuhan kerja yang ditandai oleh kelelahan emosional, fisik, dan mental akibat beban kerja berlebihan, stres finansial, serta lingkungan kerja yang kurang mendukung. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberi manfaat teoritis bagi pengembangan teologi pastoral sekaligus manfaat praktis bagi gereja dan pelayan khusus dalam merancang pelayanan konseling yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pekerja masa kini. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara daring terhadap pekerja di Sulawesi Utara serta studi pustaka dari literatur ilmiah dan teks Alkitab. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik dengan triangulasi sumber untuk menjaga validitas temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling pastoral berperan menopang pekerja secara spiritual dan emosional, membimbing mereka dalam merefleksikan pengalaman hidup, serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan panggilan iman dalam pekerjaan. Temuan lapangan menegaskan bahwa pekerja yang mengalami kejenuhan dapat dipulihkan melalui bimbingan pastoral dengan cara melihat pekerjaan sebagai panggilan pelayanan, bukan sekadar tuntutan ekonomi. Kesimpulannya, konseling pastoral merupakan strategi integral yang mampu membantu pekerja mengelola kejenuhan kerja, menemukan kembali tujuan hidup yang bermakna, serta membangun ketahanan spiritual dan emosional dalam menghadapi dinamika dunia kerja modern.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Christian education and pastoral care as a trauma recovery model for natural disaster victims in Indonesia. Natural disasters frequently occurring in Indonesia create complex trauma affecting spiritual, psychological, and social dimensions of survivors. This research identifies a critical gap between traditional Christian education approaches and the urgent need for trauma-informed pastoral accompaniment in disaster contexts. Using qualitative theological methods and literature review from reputable theological journals and books, this study proposes a holistic model integrating pastoral counseling principles with Christian educational practices. The findings suggest that trauma-informed Christian education, grounded in theological understanding of suffering and grace, provides meaningful pathways for spiritual resilience and communal healing. This model emphasizes Holy Saturday theology, presence-based ministry, and contextualized pedagogical approaches that honor survivors' traumatic experiences while fostering hope and transformation.   Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi pendidikan agama Kristen dan pendampingan pastoral sebagai model pemulihan trauma bagi korban bencana alam di Indonesia. Bencana alam yang sering terjadi di Indonesia menciptakan trauma kompleks yang memengaruhi dimensi spiritual, psikologis, dan sosial para penyintas. Riset ini mengidentifikasi kesenjangan kritis antara pendekatan pendidikan agama Kristen tradisional dan kebutuhan mendesak akan pendampingan pastoral yang sadar-trauma dalam konteks bencana. Menggunakan metode teologis kualitatif dan tinjauan literatur dari buku-buku dan artikel-artikel jurnal teologi bereputasi, studi ini mengusulkan model holistik yang mengintegrasikan prinsip konseling pastoral dengan praktik pendidikan Kristen. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan agama Kristen yang sadar-trauma, berdasarkan pemahaman teologis tentang penderitaan dan kasih karunia, menyediakan jalur bermakna untuk resiliensi spiritual dan pemulihan komunal. Model ini menekankan teologi Sabtu Suci, pelayanan berbasis kehadiran, dan pendekatan pedagogis kontekstual yang menghormati pengalaman traumatis penyintas sambil memupuk harapan dan transformasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dinamika sosial anak-anak autis dan penerapan pelayanan konseling pastoral dengan pendekatan humanistik di Panti Sosial Disabilitas Victoria. Dengan fokus pada pengalaman dan kebutuhan anak-anak autis serta keluarga mereka, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang bagaimana pendekatan humanistik dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan dan perkembangan mereka. Metode yang digunakan mencakup wawancara mendalam dengan orang tua, pengasuh, dan konselor, observasi interaksi di panti, serta analisis dokumentasi terkait autisme dan konseling pastoral. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab autisme seperti genetik, biologis, dan lingkungan mempengaruhi dinamika sosial anak, serta bahwa pendekatan humanistik dalam konseling pastoral dapat membantu meningkatkan kualitas hidup anak-anak autis dan mendukung keluarga mereka secara emosional dan spiritual. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa integrasi pendekatan humanistik dalam pelayanan konseling pastoral efektif dalam mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi anak-anak autis dan keluarga mereka, serta memperkuat komunitas yang lebih inklusif dan empatik. Penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk pengembangan praktik konseling pastoral yang lebih adaptif dan komprehensif dalam konteks autisme.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of Bible Camp as a means to form characters, strengthen leadership, and encourage moral values among students at the Manado, Manado’s Institut of Christian Religion (IAKN). Qualitative research methods are used, with dee interviews and participative observations as data collection instruments. The participants consisted of a student counseling pastoral study program that had followed the Bible Camp. The main theme in research findings is the positive influence of Bible Camp in developing student character, such as independence, perseverance, and courage. In addition, activities in Bible Camp also strengthen the giving skills through collaboration exercises, decision-making, and effective communication. Furthermore, Bible camp provides a container for students to understand and apply moral values, such as integrity, cooperation, and affection, ini everyday life. The impilications of this study indicate that Bible Camp can be an effective strategy in character education and leadership development in the University of Environment, especially among the students of IAKN Manado.
