Abstract

Belangkas merupakan hewan yang dilindungi oleh Pemerintah Indonesia. Keberadaanya di alam sudah semakin jarang ditemukan. Banyak faktor yang diduga menjadi penyebab menurunnya densitas belangkas di habitatnya. Salah satu penyebabnya karena menurunnya kualitas air yang diakibatkan pencemaran perairan. Kondisi fisika kimia perairan merupakan faktor pembatas bagi belangkas. Kualitas air tentunya mencakup faktor fisika kimia, dimana harus sesuai dengan baku mutu dipersyaratkan.  Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi faktor fiisika kimia perairan dan korelasinya terhadap densitas belangkas di Pantai Timur Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif, dimana penentuan titik stasiun pengamatan menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan korelasi faktor fisika kimia perairan terhadap densitas belangkas di Pantai Timur Sumatera Utara mempunyai hubungan yang positif (+). Nilai korelasi tertinggi diperoleh pada suhu (0,936), kecerahan (0,702), salinitas (0,603), Hg (0,578), Cd (0,545), Pb (0,508), pH (0,405), kecepatan arus (0,148), dan DO (0,045).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat belajar biologi pada materi sistem ekskresi kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan ex-post facto dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 64 murid yang di tentukan secara Cluster Random Sampling dengan rumus Taro Yamane. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket minat belajar dengan jumlah 25 pernyataan. Teknik analisis yang di gunakan dengan cara menghitung hasil angket berdasarkan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perolehan hasil nilai rata-rata minat belajar siswa kelas XI IPA sebesar 77,4%-89,4% menunjukkan minat belajar berkategori baik sampai sangat baik (2) Terdapat perolehan nilai indikator minat belajar yang signifikan di setiap kelas XI Ipa dengan nilai sebesar 74%-98% kategori baik sampai sangat baik. (3) perolehan minat belajar berdasarkan gender nilai siswi perempuan 84% > nilai siswa laki-laki 78%. Harapan ke depannya penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi solusi untuk lebih meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, diharapkan orang tua dan kepada guru untuk senantiasa berupaya memberikan pengawasan belajar baik di rumah maupun disekolah.

Abstract

Students’ Biology learning outcomes are influenced by two factors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors that can influence learning outcomes are independence, attitude and learning motivation. This research aims to investigate the relationship between independence, attitudes and learning motivation with biology learning outcomes in class X SMA Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu. This research is ex post facto research. The research instrument is a questionnaire used to obtain data on independence, attitudes and motivation to learn. Learning outcome data is obtained from daily test scores. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical with product moment correlation tests, simple and multiple regression. The results of the research show that (1) students' learning independence is in the high category, (2) students' learning attitudes are in the positive category, (3) students' learning motivation is in the high category, (4) students' biology learning outcomes are in the very high, (5) there is a strong relationship between independence and biology learning outcomes, with a correlation value of 0.680, (6) there is a strong relationship between attitudes and biology learning outcomes, with a correlation value of 0.663, (7) there is a moderate relationship between motivation with biology learning outcomes, with a correlation value of 0.453, (8) there is a strong relationship between independence, attitude and motivation and biology learning outcomes with a correlation value of 0.730.

Abstract

The learning process is still carried out using manual methods, so students tend to get bored quickly when participating in learning activities in class. The aim of this research is to improve science learning outcomes by applying educational role playing learning methods to Class 7 students at SMPN 2 Ratu for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research was carried out at SMPN 2 Ratu, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province. The subjects in this research were 7th grade students of SMPN 2 Ratu, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research is classroom action research with 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 activities, namely planning, action, observation and reflection followed by planning in the next cycle by utilizing the results of previous reflection. The solution design in question is an action in the form of a role-playing learning method in teaching the subject of the Solar System for Class 7 SMPN 2 Ratu to 31 people. Research findings show that learning science using the educational role playing learning method can improve student learning outcomes as evidenced by the increase in science learning outcomes each cycle, namely from an average of 70.52 to an average of 80.19. students feel happy studying science in the field of biology with material on the greenhouse effect and are interested in learning.

Abstract

Water quality analysis plays an important role in understanding the environmental factors that affect aquatic life, especially during critical periods such as fish spawning. The purpose of this study was to investigate several aspects related to water quality and its impact on hilsa fish species during their life cycle period. The study was conducted in Sungai Bilah over a four-month period in 2023, focusing on three specialized stations to assess water quality during the peak season of hilsa fish spawning. This study uses the descriptive method, with strategic sampling locations determined through interviews with fishermen. This method is crucial for understanding the impact of water quality on fish spawning activities. The results of the water quality analysis showed that each station had an average value of Temperature 26.625 °C, Turbidity 86.033, Total Suspended Solid (TSS) 88.75, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) 6.75, Nitrate 2.50, and Phosphate 0.002. Overall, these results indicate that the water quality in the observation area is in a condition that supports the successful spawning of hilsa fish, with stable temperature and adequate dissolved oxygen levels, while other parameters such as turbidity and TSS remain within acceptable limits

Abstract

Macrozoobethos an animal whose part or all of their life cycle at bottom of water and very sensitive to changes in the aquatic environment. so that they are often used as bioindicators of water quality. The research was conducted to determine the distribution and diversity of macrozoobenthos in Sei Barombang’s mangrove ecosystem, and to know the correlation between of diversity of macrozoobenthos with the parameters of physic-chemical water). Determination of observation stations using purposive sampling method. Macrozoobenthos was collected using by handsortir method from 3 station, first station on Nypa frutican vegetation, second station on Sonneratia sp. vegetation, and third station on heterogeneous mangrove vegetation. Measurement of physical-chemical parameters such as temperature, salinity, pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) of water. The data analysis, such as index of diversity (Shannon-Wiener index-H’), the Similarity index (by Evannes index), index dominance of species (by Simpson Index), Pearson’s correlation used for 2 factors among diversity and the physical-chemical parameters by SPSS 22. Result showed were gastropod and bivalvia as dominant species from amount of 11 species of macrozoobenthos found in Sei Barombang mangrove ecosystem, where Barbatia amygdalumtosum as lowest species found, Glauconome virens and Pleurocera canaliculate as the most species often found in all station. And The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that dissolved of oxygen (DO) (0.776) and water pH (0.656) be determinant of the distribution of diversity macrozoobenthos in the location of research

Abstract

Makrozoobentos merupakan kelompok hewan yang hidup dasar perairan dan sering ditemukan hidup berasosiasi dengan organisme lain. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis makrozoobentos yang hidup berasosiasi dengan ekosistem lamun di perairan Pantai Natal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dimana stasiun pengamatan ditentukan berdasarkan informasi dari nelayan setempat terkait keberadaan ekosistem lamun.  Data yang dianalisis adalah Indeks keanekaragaman (H’), Indeks Dominansi (C), dan Indeks Similaritas (IS). Keseluruhan analisis data menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak komputer Plymouth Routines software in Multivariate Research Version 7. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 25 spesies yang terbagi menjadi 6 Klas yang hidup berasosiasi dengan ekosistem lamun di perairan Natal. Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) berada dalam kategori keanekaragaman sedang dengan nilai 2,89-2,98, sementara itu Indeks Dominansi berada pada kategori rendah dengan nilai 0,003-0,005. Selanjutnya diperoleh tingkat kesamaan (similaritas) terhadap spesies penyusun komunitas makrozoobentos dengan tingkat kesamaan tinggi (IS 93,62-100%).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the population dynamics of J. belangerii fish in the waters of the Barumun River, Labuhanbatu Regency. Sampling was carried out for 3 months, starting in October – December 2021. The results showed the relationship between length and weight of J. belangerii fish was negative allometric with a b value of 0.713 (b<3). The population of J. belangerii was dominated by individual lengths between 14.5 - 38 cm with a body weight range of 30-80 grams. The length of the totic acid (L∞) is 41.55 cm with a growth coefficient (K) of 0.430 per year. Natural mortality (M) and fishing mortality (F) were 0.937 and 0.892 per year, respectively. The level of exploitation (E) obtained a value of 0.35 . The condition of the population of J. belangerii based on the value of (F),(N),(E) is not in a state of over-exploitation.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dinamika populasi ikan J. belangerii yang ada di Perairan Sungai Barumun Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan selama 3 bulan, di mulai pada Oktober – Desember 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan Panjang berat ikan J. belangerii adalah alometrik negatif dengan nilai b 0,713 (b<3). Populasi ikan J. belangerii didominasi ukuran panjang individu antara 14,5 - 38 cm dengan kisaran berat tubuh 30-80 gram. Panjang asim totik (L∞) adalah 41,55 cm dengan koefisien pertumbuhan (K) adalah 0,430 pertahun. Mortalitas alami (M) dan mortalitas penangkapan (F) masing-masing sebesar 0,937 dan 0,892 per tahun. Tingkat eksploitasi (E) diperoleh nilai 0,35 . Kondisi populasi J. belangerii berdasarkan nilai (F),(N),(E) tidak dalam keadaan over exploitasi.

Abstract

This study was aimed at analyzing the growth patterns of catfish (Clarias leiacanthus) through the analysis of length weight relationships. The Condition Factor is calculated to determine the habitat conditions of the C. leiacanthus fish population. The research was carried out from October to December 2021 in the Aek Silom-lom River, South Labuhanbatu Regency. Measurement of fish length and weight and identification were carried out at the Ecology Laboratory, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Labuhanbatu University. Samples were captured using fishing gear in the form of fishing rods. Growth pattern analysis refers to the Linear Allometric Model (MAL), the condition factor is calculated based on relative weight (Wr) and Fulton (K). The catch during the study was 54 catfish (C. leiacanthus) obtained from Aek Silom-lom. The results of measurements against the sample obtained that the total length range (TL) is 20-31 cm, and weight (W) 81-180 grams. Analysis of the linear allometric model explained that the growth pattern of catfish (C. leiacanthus) is negative allometric b=2.22 (b<3). The results of the condition factor analysis obtained a relative range (Wr) of 81.047 – 124.552 with an average of 88.01. Factor Analysis of Fulton's condition (K) found a K value of 0.84. Based on the value of the Fulton condition factor (K) it can be concluded that the waters of Aek Silom-lom are in a balanced state, and can support the life of long catfish (C. leiacanthus).

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of online game addiction on students' learning motivation at SMP PKMI Methodist Aek Batu. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey method. The population consisted of 64 students, and the total sampling technique was used to determine the sample. The research instrument is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using Pearson's correlation test with IBM SPSS Statistics 23. The results of the study showed that there was no significant effect of online game addiction on student learning motivation, as evidenced by the correlation test results showing a significance value greater than 0.05 (> 0.05). This discrepancy in results may be influenced by factors such as time management, parental support, type of game, and the students' social environment. Therefore, it can be concluded that online gaming addiction does not directly affect students' learning motivation at SMP PKMI Methodist Aek Batu. Further research with a broader scope, larger sample size, and a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach is recommended to obtain more comprehensive results.
