Abstract

During this time, the remaining milk that has been consumed only wasted. Milk content is strongly associated with nutrients to increase crop productivity. This requires innovations in the manufacture of organic fertilizer products. The purpose of this study was to determine the best composition comparison between stale milk, EM4 solution and cocopeat in the process of making liquid and solid organic fertilizer and determine the c-organic value, Ntotal, P2O5total, K2Ototal, and pH value. Initial analysis of liquid organic fertilizer obtained pH values of 5.10, P2O5total  of 0.342% and Ntotal of 0.569% at initial control (stale milk only) and final values of 1.010% of  P2O5total, 1.113% of Ntotal and 10.480% of organic carbon in R3 ( 30: 5: 1). Initial analysis of solid organic fertilizer obtained pH values 5.26%, 2.668% P2O5total, 0.952% K2Ototal and 2.780% Ntotal at R1 (10: 5: 1) and final values obtained 1.578% P2O5total at R1 (10: 5: 1) , 2.937% Ntotal in R2 and 43.912% carbon organic in R3. This shows that stale milk with the addition of EM4 and cocopeat solutions has an effect on phosphorus and nitrogen nutrients in liquid and solid organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The quality of river water is strongly related to human activities in it. Changesin the condition of water quality in the river flow are the effects of the dischargefrom existing land use. One of them is sand mining activities along the SerayuRiver, especially around Tumiyang, Kebasen, Banyumas Regency. Activitiesfrom sand mining will cause a decrease in river water quality. From this activity,it is necessary to study the status of water quality using the STORET method todetermine the quality of river water so that the river can be utilized in accordancewith the applicable designation.The STORET method is one method for determining water quality data withwater quality standards in accordance with the appointment of Minister ofEnvironment Decree No.115 2003. This research is a quantitative descriptivestudy to determine the water quality of the Serayu river in the sand of miningareas precisely in Banyumas Regency. The parameters measured in this studywere measurements of Total Disolved Solid (TDS), temperature, pH, andElectrical Conductivity. Determining the location of taking water using apurposive sampling method.Based on the results of data analysis using the Storet method and refers to thequality standards of Government Regulation No.20 of 1990 Group D. Waterquality in Serayu River has a total score of 9 after sand mining. This shows thequality status of the lightly polluted Serayu river (-1 to -10). But still in class Band the river water quality level is still in good condition. There are temperatureparameters that exceed the threshold of 25 - 32oC, but the TDS, DHL and pHparameters are still within the threshold of designation in Group D.

Abstract

Wastewater resulted from the batik dying process is known for its environmentally hazardous substances including hazardous natural and synthetic organic matter, suspended particles, and hazardous metal. But in the micro and medium scale batik textile business, wastewater treatment is mostly not carried because it does not give benefit for the owner. Economical wastewater treatment constructions can be an alternative for the business owner for their free operational cost. Batik wastewater treatment ought to be carried out to meet government standards but most importantly to decrease hazardous pollutant’s concentrations so it does not harm the environment. This society service project aims to provide alternatively economical wastewater treatment for batik business owners by applying simples and cheapest yet effective treatment methods to reduce pollutant concentrations in wastewater. Methods applied in this project including sedimentation, filtration, and landfill-bioremediation. The laboratorium analysis result shows that sedimentation and filtration are significantly reduced total suspended solid particles in wastewater from 2450 to 100 mg/L in line with wastewater decoloring from dark blue to clear yellow.

Abstract

Plant cultivation in the village of Kalijaran focuses on rice plants and fish farming with ponds. Some weaknesses of the ground pool are the condition of the soil that is prone to leakage, the ground pool is also difficult to control predatory animals, water discharge as well as water pressure, especially during heavy rain. Community service activities are carried out by applying the method of maxiras, namely carrying out the preparation of tools and materials, installation, training, mentoring and evaluation which are expected to enable more varied plants cultivation and more optimal fishery products, for example using the Ras Maxi method during agricultural activities with the aquaponic method. The purpose of this activity is to be able to create a creative community to cultivate fish and at the same time grow plants using the Maxi Race method. The result of this activity is an increase in the knowledge and skills of fish farmer groups about aquaculture with the Ras Maxi method so that the community can be more economically independent and creative.

Abstract

One of the fisheries and marine potentials in Cilacap Regency is tuna fisheries. Catch tuna that landed at the Cilacap Ocean Fishery Port (PPSC) is high. Based on the analysis of the needs of actors in the tuna fisheries system in Cilacap, one of the components included in the system is the tuna fish processing industry. This is because there is only one tuna fishing company in Cilacap in 2009. The existence of these problems causes an increase in the growth of the micro-industry in the tuna fish processing business in Cilacap. This increase certainly has an impact on increasing the waste generated. This study aims to identify the type of waste generated and the waste management efforts of micro-industry players (MSMEs) processing tuna chili sauce in Cilacap and analyze the appropriate management design to be applied in the tuna fish sauce processing industry. The research data collection method was carried out by direct observation by conducting interviews with the owners of MSMEs. The results of field observations on MSMEs that produce tuna fish sauce produce organic and non-organic waste and the waste is simply thrown into the environment without any treatment first. Efforts to manage waste produced by MSMEs with tuna sauce have not yet been carried out due to limited human resources in knowledge about waste management. Based on the characteristics of the waste produced, several types of designs can be carried out by MSMEs, namely the management of organic and non-organic wastes to minimize the waste generated both in terms of quality and quantity as not to pollute the environment.

Abstract

Kecamatan Maos merupakan lumbung padi di Jawa Tengah. Hal ini karena produksi padi di Kecamatan Maos tertinggi dibandingkan dengan kecamatan lain di Kabupaten Cilacap. Oleh karena itu, pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L) harus dijaga untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pangan di Jawa Tengah. Permasalahan yang dihadapi penyuluh lapang pertanian Kecamatan Maos sebagai mitra program pengabdian masyarakat salah satunya adalah terbatasnya jumlah penyuluh lapang pertanian yang bertugas sebagai pengamat hama dan penyakit sehingga menyebabkan gejala munculnya serangan dan jenis penyakit terlambat sehingga menyebabkan gejala munculnya serangan dan jenis penyakit terlambat diketahui dan berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas dan produksi tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L). nerapan teknologi yang dapat membantu petugas penyuluh lapang pertanian untuk mendeteksi penyakit tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L) secara cepat dan tepat merupakan solusi untuk dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan produksi tanaman padi di Kecamatan Maos. Kegiatan penerapan teknologi ini bertujuan untuk mendukung peningkatan produktivitas dan produksi tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L) dengan menerapkan sebuah sistem informasi dengan metode CBR (Case Base Reasioning) yang dapat digunakan secara cepat dan tepat untuk mendeteksi penyakit tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L).  Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan respon yang baik dari petugas penyuluh lapang pertanian Kecamatan Maos. Penerapan teknologi ini dapat memudahkan petugas penyuluh lapang untuk mendeteksi jenis penyakit tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L) secara cepat dan tepat berdasarkan gejala-gejala penyakit yang ada dalam sistem informasi tersebut dan mengetahui penganganan yang tepat untuk jenis penyakit tersebut.  Keywords— Case Base Reasioning (CBR), Maos, Padi, Penyakit

Abstract

Sand mining activities that continue to increase as a result of increasing demand for raw materials for infrastructure development have an impact on the environment. Negative impacts on the environment will occur if sand reduction can not be properly managed. One of the locations that is often used as a sand mining activity is the watershed. One of the river basin areas that contain sand mining activities is the Serayu DAS of Cilacap regency. In this research, the analysis of sand mining impact on physical quality of serayu river in Cilacap regency. Physical parameters measured were temperature, total dissolved solid (TDS) and electrical conductivity (DHL). The measurement results were conducted in 4 stations from upstream to downstream of Serayu River Cilacap Regency resulting temperature value of water between 30oC -31.5oC. The TDS value is in the range of 100 mg / L - 140 mg / L and the DHL value is in the range of 100 μS / cm - 200 μS / cm. Sand mining activities affect the rise of TDS and DHL in serayu river even though the value is still below the quality standard. Keywords: physical quality of river water, serayu river, sand mining

Abstract

Serayu River crossing several districts Wonosobo, Banjarnegara, Purbalingga, Banyumas, until empties into Cilacap. This research was conducted at Banyumas and Cilacap regency. Banyumas Regency, Kebasen consists of three stations in the sand mining area before sand mining, sand mining location, after sand mining. Cilacap regency consists of three stations Sampang, Maos and Slarang. The method used there are two that is purposive sampling method for sampling location and method of pollution index (IP) to determine water quality of Serayu River. From the calculation of IP method, the water quality of Serayu River in Banyumas Regency is obtained at station 1, 2 and 3 (0,922), (0,921) and (0,934). Meanwhile, located in Cilacap Regency, obtained at stations 1, 2 and 3 of (0.897), (0.921) and (0.891). Based on Ministry Decree No.115/2003 relationship value of IP with water quality status is still included in the IP value of 0 to 1.0 is the status of good condition quality. Abstract

Fish farming group Mina Jaya Kalijaran village has potential in producing vegetables in the use of aquaponic system, this is because it is supported by abundant waste catfish cultivation. Utilization of catfish cultivation waste is still not maximized. Utilization of catfish cultivation by most members of fish farming group Mina Jaya Kalijaran village still has not led to produce agricultural products in the form of vegetables with aquaponic system. The aim of the empowerment activities of fish farming group Mina Jaya Kalijaran village is to provide knowledge, training and mentoring in utilizing the waste of catfish cultivation using the aquaculture system to produce agricultural products in the form of vegetables and reducing environmental pollution by the catfish cultivation waste. The activity received positive response from fish farming group of Mina Jaya Kalijaran village. The result of this empowerment activities is fish farming group Mina Jaya Kalijaran village become an undestand an able to make installation of aquaponic system by utilizing waste catfish farming to get additional results namely agricultural products in the form of and can reducing environmental pollution.

Abstract

Desa Widarapayung Wetan merupakan salah satu desa yang memiliki potensi wisata pantai tetapi masih belum berkembang dengan optimal sehingga masyarakat sekitar Desa Widarapayung Wetan masih belum mendapatkan keuntungan dari potensi wilayahnya tersebut. Keadaan ini disebabkan potensi sumber daya manusia yang belum dapat memaksimalkan potensi wilayahnya. Karang taruna merupakan bagian dari masyarakat yang perlu ditingkatkan ketrampilannya terutama ketrampilan yang dapat mendukung sektor ekonomi dan wisata desa. Salah satu jenis pelatihan guna meningkatkan ketrampilan khusus para karang taruna yang dapat mendukung pengembangan sektor pariwisata dan perekonomian adalah pelatihan screen printing. Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan screen printing ini yaitu adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan ketrampilan pada para pemuda karang taruna yang ada di Desa Widara Payung Wetan. Kegiatan pelatihan dibagi menjadi 3 sesi yaitu sesi ceramah seputar teori screen printing, demonstrasi teknik screen printing sekaligus praktik langsung bagi peserta dan ceramah seputar usaha screen printing dapat mendukung perekonomian dan pariwisata desa. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan pelatihan maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa para pemuda yang ada di Desa Widarapayung wetan sudah dapat melakukan teknik screen printing dan dapat menghasilkan satu buah produk berupa kaos bergambar hasil screen printing. Ketrampilan yang telah dimiliki oleh pemuda ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan modal awal untuk berwirausaha dalam bidang screen printing.
