Abstract

One of the fisheries and marine potentials in Cilacap Regency is tuna fisheries. Catch tuna that landed at the Cilacap Ocean Fishery Port (PPSC) is high. Based on the analysis of the needs of actors in the tuna fisheries system in Cilacap, one of the components included in the system is the tuna fish processing industry. This is because there is only one tuna fishing company in Cilacap in 2009. The existence of these problems causes an increase in the growth of the micro-industry in the tuna fish processing business in Cilacap. This increase certainly has an impact on increasing the waste generated. This study aims to identify the type of waste generated and the waste management efforts of micro-industry players (MSMEs) processing tuna chili sauce in Cilacap and analyze the appropriate management design to be applied in the tuna fish sauce processing industry. The research data collection method was carried out by direct observation by conducting interviews with the owners of MSMEs. The results of field observations on MSMEs that produce tuna fish sauce produce organic and non-organic waste and the waste is simply thrown into the environment without any treatment first.Efforts to manage waste produced by MSMEs with tuna sauce have not yet been carried out due to limited human resources in knowledge about waste management. Based on the characteristics of the waste produced, several types of designs can be carried out by MSMEs, namely the management of organic and non-organic wastes to minimize the waste generated both in terms of quality and quantity as not to pollute the environment.

Abstract

Buah jambu air camplong putih (Syzygium samarangense) memiliki kandungan air yang tinggi sehingga umur simpannya tidak lama. Salah satu upaya pengawetan buah adalah dengan pengeringan. Pengeringan buah dapat berupa irisan buah kering atau dalam bentuk puree buah yang dikeringkan dalam bentuk lembaran tipis yang dikenal dengan fruit leather dengan ciri khas teksturnya yang plastis dan kenyal. Tekstur ini bisa diperoleh dengan adanya tambahan CMC pada proses pembuatan fruit leather jambu air camplong putih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari bahan tambahan CMC pada karakteristik (fisika, kimia, dan sensoris) fruit leather jambu air camplong putih. Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian berupa rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) satu faktor yaitu perlakuan penambahan CMC sebanyak 0,5%, 1%, 1,5%, dan 2% dengan uji statistik Anova One Way dan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada signifikansi 0,05%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rendemen sebesar 22,91-26,08%, tensile strength 0,210-0,375 MPa, pH 3,1-3,4, dan kadar air 14,17-16,42%. Berdasarkan uji statistik, penambahan hidrokoloid CMC memberikan pengaruh pada karakteristik fisik dan kimia fruit leather. Hasil uji sensori menunjukkan perlakuan CMC 1% memiliki persentase yang tinggi pada setiap atribut penilaiannya sehingga perlakuan CMC 1% menjadi perlakuan terbaik pilihan panelis.

Abstract

Rice husk is an organic material that has a high lignocellulosic content so it has the potential to be turned into activated carbon. One method of making activated carbon is activation with a phosphoric acid activator (H3PO4). The purpose of this research was to study the effect of varying concentrations of H3PO4 as an activator on the characteristics of rice husk-activated carbon. The characterization refers to SNI 06-3730-1995 regarding the technical quality requirements of activated charcoal. Activation of rice husk carbon was carried out by contacting the carbon with H3PO4 for 24 hours and shaking it. The H3PO4 consisted of 3 concentration variations, namely 4M, 6M, and 8M. From the research results, the water content was 3.936%; 4.037%; 4.070%, the absorption of iodine has met the character of activated charcoal according to SNI, namely 1217.204 mg/g; 1204.255 mg/g; 1184.832 mg/g while the ash content value does not meet the SNI standard, which is still above 10%. The highest adsorption capacity and adsorption efficiency could be activated with 8M H3PO4, namely 22.42 mg/g and 89.68%. IR spectra on activated carbon with three variations of H3PO4 concentration showed the presence of aromatic C-H, C=C, and C-O anhydride functional groups.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the soil degradation level for biomass production in sloping areas used as agricultural land. This research was conducted in Tanggetada District, Kolaka Regency. This research was conducted using a field survey method with a slope class approach which is used as agricultural land with a slope of 8-15%, 15-25%, 25-45%, and 45%. The results of the study show that the status of soil damage in sloped areas used as agricultural land in Tanggetada District, Kolaka Regency, for slope classes 8-15%, 15-25%, and 25-45% included in the lightly damaged category while slope classes 45% included in the moderately damaged category. The limiting factors for soil damage status at this location are surface rock, microbial count, bulk density, permeability, and redox

Abstract

Pertambahan populasi penduduk yang semakin meningkat di desa Banjarwaru juga disertai meningkatnya kebutuhan pangan dimana masyarakat harus dapat mengembangkan sistem budidaya tanaman pangan yang lebih efisien dan mudah dilakukan. Di Desa Banjarwaru ini terdapat kader Posyandu dan kader PKK dari 8 dusun yang sangat aktif dalam melakukan program peningkatan ketahanan pangan secara mandiri sebagai upaya dalam mencegah stunting. Salah satunya dengan budidaya ikan lele dalam ember (budikdamber) dilengkapi budidaya sayur organik pula. Dimana budidaya ini akan menghasilkan limbah makanan dan kotoran ikan tersebut yang dapat digunakan sebagai nutrisi dalam sayuran aquaponik.  Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan tentang pemanfaatan limbah budidaya ikan lele (budikdamber) dengan menggunakan bayam merah pada aquaponik dan meminimalisir adanya kandungan limbah dari budikdamber tersebut. Rangkaian dari kegiatan ini berlangsung mulai bulan April-Agustus 2023 berlokasi di Balai desa Banjarwaru.  Adapun peserta kegiatan ini adalah para kader Posyandu dan PKK beserta perangkat desa. Metode kegiatan ini diawali dengan sosialisasi, pelatihan pembudidayaan ikan dan sayur dalam ember dan penyebaran kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan ini. Dari hasil kegiatan ini diketahui bahwa para kader ibu-ibu Posyandu dan PKK memperoleh informasi mengenai pemanfaatan limbah budidaya ikan lele dalam ember (budikdamber) untuk memberikan nutrisi pada bayam merah dengan sistem aquaponik.The increasing population in Banjarwaru village is also accompanied by increasing food needs, where the community must be able to develop a food crop cultivation system that is more efficient and easier to carry out. In Banjarwaru village, there are Posyandu cadres and PKK cadres from 8 hamlets who are very active in carrying out programs to increase food security independently in an effort to prevent stunting. One is cultivating catfish in buckets (budikdamber) and organic vegetables. This cultivation will produce food and fish waste, which can be used as nutrients in aquaponic vegetables. This program aims to provide information, training, and assistance regarding the use of catfish cultivation waste (budikdamber) using red spinach in aquaponics and minimizing the waste content from budikdamber. This series of activities will take place from April-August 2023 at the Banjarwaru Village Hall. The participants in this activity were Posyandu and PKK cadres, along with village officials. The method of this activity begins with socialization, training on cultivating fish and vegetables in buckets, and distributing questionnaires based on the results of this activity. From the results of this activity, it was discovered that the Posyandu and PKK women cadres obtained information regarding the use of catfish cultivation waste in buckets (budikdamber) to provide nutrition to red spinach using an aquaponics system.

Abstract

One of the biomass that can be used for making biogas is fish waste. Based on the research, fish waste has a small c / n ratio so it requires mixing with other organic materials that have a higher c / n ratio. The addition of water hyacinth and cow dung will increase the c / n ratio in the anaerobic process to make biogas. The aim of this research is to analyze the process anaerobically of biogas formation from a mixture of fish waste, cow dung, and water hyacinth. Biogas is made with a variation composition of cow dung (D1), a mixture of cow dung, water hyacinth, and fish waste (D2), and a mixture of cow dung and fish waste (D3).) The Variation ratio of each composition is 1: 0: 0; 5: 1: 1 and 2: 0: 1. The results are the value of volatile solid and total solid for each composition of D1, D2, D3 was 33,600 mg / L, 34,800 mg / L, 33,000 mg / L. Value of Total Solid D1, D2, D3 are 121,800 mg / L, 146,200 mg / L, 174,600 mg / L. Fermentation process lasts for 1 month at a temperature 25oC-33oC and pH 6-7. The rates of degradation of organic compounds for D1, D2, D3 are 0.0058/day; 0.0439/day and 0.0052/day.

Abstract

Aquaponics is an application of a sustainable agricultural system by integrating the cultivation of plants and fish at one time. Water availability in plant commodities and water is optimized in aquaponic cultivation systems. Several parameters that can determine the level of success of cultivating an aquaponic system include water pH, water temperature, TDS, and water level. The process of monitoring and controlling several important parameters in cultivation can be done conventionally, but it is less effective and efficient because the cultivator has to check and measure the parameters every time. Therefore, as time goes by, and technology becomes more sophisticated, a control and monitoring system is designed. several parameters such as water pH, water temperature, TDS, and water level based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to support the success of the aquaponics system by monitoring environmental conditions using a laptop/smartphone at that time. Based on the test results, it was found that aquaponics in an indoor environment is successful - the air conditioner has a water temperature below 250C, the water pH shows 7pH and the average nutrient in the water shows 214.5 ppm. Based on this, kale plants in the stem grow quickly while leaf growth is very stunted. At temperatures smaller than 25 0C pomfret fish only survive for 2 weeks but tilapia fish can survive and not die in these environmental conditions. The length of the tilapia fish for 6 weeks has increased by 5 cm from its original length

Abstract

UMKM memiliki peranan terhadap ekonomi pangan di Indonesia. GMP berperan penting dalam keamanan dan kualitas produk pangan, oleh karena itu artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerapan GMP telah dilakukan oleh UMKM Asah Asih terhadap produk sambal ikan tuna untuk memastikan produk tetap dalam keadaan aman dan berkualitas hingga tangan konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 teknik pengumpulan data yaitu data primer dan sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa dokumen audit GMP dan penerapannya terhadap keamanan dan kualitas produk sambal ikan tuna yang mengacu pada peraturan BPOM No HK.03.1.23.04.12.2206 tahun 2012 tentang CPPOB dan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa aspek yang belum memenuhi sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi dan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan keamanan dan kualitas produk.
