Abstract

This study is essential, given the lack of adequate learning materials for students in developing Mathematical Problem Solving Skills (KPMM) and the skills needed for more optimal results. The research involved 39 students from class VIII.7 at SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru during the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research methods included a one-to-one test subject consisting of three high-performing students, a small group test subject involving six students with heterogeneous abilities, and a large group test subject also based on heterogeneous abilities. A 4-D approach consisting of define, design, development, and disseminate was used in material development. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Interviews were conducted to identify the main problems that form the basis for module development, observations to assess the learning process, and questionnaires to obtain feedback from validators and students about the developed product. The study results showed that the learning module designed according to the independent curriculum with ratio content for seventh-grade students in phase D and a problem-based learning model is proven to be valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in learning on the economics learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at Al-Huda Senior High School in Pekanbaru. This research used a quantitative approach with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The population of the study consisted of all tenth-grade students at Al-Huda Senior High School in Pekanbaru, totaling 61 students, selected through total sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through documentation and questionnaires. The research results showed that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum had an impact on the economics learning outcomes of students at Al-Huda Senior High School in Pekanbaru. Based on the findings, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum scored 78.01%, categorized as good, while the average score of students' economics learning outcomes was 78.25, categorized as sufficient. The correlation coefficient analysis indicated that the t-observed value was higher than the t-table value (5.278 > 1.67), which signifies a significant effect of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation on economics learning outcomes. The R Square value of 0.321 shows that 32.1% of the learning outcomes were influenced by the curriculum implementation, while the remaining 67.9% was influenced by other variables.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are motivated by the lack of activity of students during the learning process and the teacher's dependence on textbooks. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of 4C-based mathematics e-modules on the learning outcomes of grade VII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1, Mungka District. This research was carried out with a quantitative research method in the form of a Quasy Experiment. The data collection technique used is a test in Mathematics subjects. The sample of this selection was 54 grade VII students consisting of 27 people from the experimental class and 27 people from the control class. The data analysis techniques are normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test with the Wilcoxon Test test method. The results show that the use of 4C-based mathematics e-modules is significantly effective in improving the learning outcomes of grade VII students. If learning is facilitated with modules or e-modules based on the 4Cs, learning will be more effective, because after learning at school students can use the e-module, learning can be done independently by students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe leadership, motivation, and communication in the institution of the Islamic Boarding School, whose members have achieved various achievements at the national and international levels. This study departs from the importance of good program implementation management to produce students who are competent in Arabic and able to compete at various levels. Factors such as participatory and democratic leadership, need-based motivation, and descending and transcendent communication, both formally and informally, verbally and in writing, determine the success of the program. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to explore the internal dynamics of the institution. The results show that the combination of inclusive leadership, relevant motivation, and effective communication contribute significantly to the achievement of the institution's achievements. This study provides a practical contribution in understanding the management of Islamic boarding school-based institutions and its relevance to the development of globally competitive Arabic language competencies.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the digital marketing capabilities of the Susi Seprai and Bedcover MSME by providing assistance and creating visual content in the form of product photos and videos. With high-quality visual content, it is expected to increase product appeal and broaden online marketing reach. The activity is carried out in two phases: a product photography training on August 15, 2024, and visual content creation assistance from August 1, 2024, to October 1, 2024, at the Susi Seprai and Bedcover MSME location in Padang City, West Sumatra. The methods used in this activity include technical training in product photography, an introduction to and use of photo editing applications such as Canva and Photoshop, and video editing applications like Premiere Pro. This training is designed to provide practical knowledge to MSME owners on how to take attractive product photos and edit them for a more professional look. The results of this activity show an improvement in the MSME owner's ability to take and edit photos and videos of their products and to use editing applications like Canva for digital marketing purposes. Additionally, photos and videos have been produced as promotional content. The conclusion of this activity is that training and assistance in visual content creation are effective in enhancing MSME digital marketing capabilities. The recommendation is for further training on other digital marketing techniques and deeper exploration of editing applications to optimize visual content outcomes.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih membuat dunia pendidikan berevolusi menjadi lebih luwes. Perkembangan media sosial membuat kinerja menjadi lebih cepat, tepat, dan akurat, sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas yang dihasilkan. Salah satu yang menjadi pengguna media sosial terbanyak saat ini adalah para pelajar atau siswa atau mahasiswa. Karena dengan menggunakan media sosial, para siswa dapat dengan mudah berkomunikasi jarak dekat maupun jauh tanpa harus terbatas ruang dan waktu untuk berjumpa. Dengan perkembangannya yang sangat pesat, sehingga menjadikan media sosial sebagai media pembelajaran yang banyak digunakan oleh pendidik saat ini. Selain untuk memanfaatkan keberadaan media sosial, juga untuk mengeksplorasi kreativitas dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan fleksibel.

Abstract

This study aims to improve exposition text writing skills using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model in class V of SD Negeri 07 Pasaman, West Pasaman Regency. The CIRC model is applied to encourage students to improve their exposition text writing skills. This research was conducted in 2 cycles with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 07 Pasaman, with data collected through test and non-test techniques, while the research instruments were test and non-test sheets. Data analysis was carried out using the percentage formula. The results showed that the use of the CIRC model can significantly improve the skill of writing an exposition text. In cycle I, the average score on the Teaching Module aspect was 90 with qualifications (A), increasing in cycle II, which obtained an average of 95 with qualifications (A), the results of observations of the teacher's aspects and aspects of students in cycle I meeting I received the same score of 83.33 with good qualifications (B) and increased in cycle I meeting II to 87.5 in the aspects of teachers and students. The average for teacher and learner activity scores in cycles I and II is 85.41 with qualifications (B). In cycle II, the score for teacher activity was 95.83, and learner activity was 95.83 with qualification (A)

Abstract

Vulnerable workers, often engaged in informal sectors with low and unstable incomes, face significant barriers in accessing employment-based social security programs. In the social security system, according to Law No.40/2004 and Law No.24/2011 who are social security participants are independent participants, wage recipients and contribution recipients (poor people, while informal workers are not mentioned as participants covered by the Government. This article aims to find out how social security protection is for informal workers and who is responsible for the payment of their membership contributions as social security participants. Using an empirical legal research method, the study analyzes the implementation of social security policies at the local level, particularly initiatives to include informal workers such as fishermen, religious educators, and ride-hailing drivers. Data were collected through field observation, interviews with relevant stakeholders, and review of secondary legal documents. The study reveals that local government initiatives play a critical role in expanding enrollment, particularly through targeted identification of eligible workers and the allocation of public budget to subsidize premiums. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on subnational policy implementation and the mechanisms through which local governments operationalize inclusive social protection. The findings highlight how coordination between central and local authorities contributes to expanding access to social security and reducing socioeconomic vulnerability among informal labor groups. This study offers practical insights for policymakers seeking to close protection gaps and achieve broader coverage in employment-based social security systems.
