Abstract

The study aims to identify, analyze and describe how the normal new era Christian character education pattern of the alpha generation at GMIM buloh elementary school, along with inhibitory factors and efforts to overcome inhibitory factors. The weakening of Christian character in the normal new era alpha generation reflected in the GMIM Buloh elementary school has been one of the reasons researchers elevate the heading "a normal new era Christian character education pattern for the alpha generation at GMIM Buloh elementary." The methods used in this study are descriptive qualitative methods using data collection techniques by observation, interview, and documentation. Research indicates that the pattern of Christian character education used particularly in the new normal era of the alpha generation at GMIM Buloh elementary school is through: (1) guiding, mentoring, regulation, motivation, example, and using the appropriate spiritual and wise quotations in school wards. (2) the barriers school and teacher face are limited learning times, teachers and students struggle with using online learning media, lack of support from parents, excessive gadget use, poor social environment, and also internal factors that come from within the student body. (3) as for the effort the teacher makes with the parents, teaching them repeatedly and setting a good example in life.

Abstract

Interfaith youth forum has a positive impact in maintaining and maintaining harmony among religious communities. This study aims to describe how the interfaith youth forum management in maintaining harmony between religious communities in the city of Tomohon, describes the causes of pelita forum management in maintaining harmony between religious communities in the city of Tomohon, describing the efforts of interfaith youth forum management in maintaining inter-religious harmony in the city of Tomohon. Observations and interviews were carried out on interfaith youth forum participants to obtain data in this study. After the data is collected the data is analyzed. The management of the interfaith youth forum in maintaining harmony among religious communities in the city of Tomohon is as a means of communication between youth across religions, as a forum for accommodating aspirations, and a provision to be a buffer in religious problems that occur. The inhibition of interfaith youth forum management in maintaining harmony among religions in the city of Tomohon is caused by the attendance of participants who were late when the forum activities were carried out, busyness or fatigue that resulted in not attending the forum activities, and the presence presence that was represented by Christianity, Catholicism and Islam. While the efforts of interfaith youth forum management in maintaining harmony among religious communities in the city of Tomohon are by carrying out activities that are supported by adequate facilities, inviting youth organization leaders, and presenting religious leaders in the implementation of the interfaith youth forum activities. To that end, the interfaith youth forum must continue to be carried out to maintain tolerance and harmony between religious communities

Abstract

Abstract. Over the past two decades, countries around the world have entered an era of ageing populations. Indonesia is no exception, and the province of DIY has the largest number of elderly people. This article is the result of qualitative research using a phenomenological approach at the Christian Church of Java Gondokusuman in Yogyakarta, which explores the implementation of Christian education for the elderly. The aim is to gain in-depth information about how the church provides services and the elderly's responses. The research result is presented in a project map showing the relationship between church services and the three tasks of the church as its foundation. The three tasks of the church as the foundation for Christian education for the elderly, manifesting simultaneously and integrally.Abstrak. Selama dua dekade terakhir, negara-negara di dunia memasuki era ageing population. Indonesia termasuk di dalamnya dan Provinsi DIY adalah provinsi dengan jumlah lansia terbesar. Respons terhadap fenomena ageing population perlu dilakukan dari tingkat Makro, Mezzo, hingga Mikro. Gereja sebagai komunitas Mezzo, perlu ambil bagian dan bersikap proaktif. Artikel ini adalah hasil penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi di Gereja Kristen Jawa Gondokusuman Yogyakarta yang mengelaborasi pelaksanaan Pendidikan Kristiani bagi lansia. Tujuannya adalah mendapatkan informasi mendalam tentang bagaimana gereja memberikan pelayanan, dan tanggapan para lansia atasnya. Hasil penelitian berupa tampilan project map yang menunjukkan hubungan antara pelayanan gereja dengan lansia dan tri tugas gereja sebagai landasannya. Tri tugas gereja sebagai dasar Pendidikan Kristiani bagi lansia mewujud secara simultan dan integral.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjadi salah satu kajian tentang tantangan masyarakat urban di Kota Manado dalam merencanakan dan mengelola lingkungan belajar bagi Anak Usia Dini disaat mereka menghadapi berbagai resiko karena adanya pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa dalam kajian biblika Ulangan 6: 4-9 terdapat beberapa karakteristik lingkungan belajar untuk anak, yaitu lingkungan belajar yang bersifat parental participation, verbal-visual combination, multi-location, dan style variation. Ditemui pula tantangan-tantangan dalam lingkungan belajar pendidikan anak usia dini, yaitu tantangan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh karena adanya covid-19, pelaksanaan kelas online yang menimbulkan ketidaksetaraan dalam pelaksanaannya, keterbatasan penilaian guru dari video dan foto, dan tantangan metode online dan off-line.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe and understand how the thought of John Calvin who was a famous reformer figure from time to time. Calvin paid great attention to Christian education especially in the church. He arranged systematically the way, the content of the teaching, as well as the qualifications, self-image of the teachers both pastors and religious teachers who were all based on the Bible and to glorify God. The method used in this paper is a qualitative research method with a literature study study in which the researcher reviews, compares, formulates and analyzes Calvin's thoughts both in his life context, his thoughts through books, documents, journals and other relevant literature studies. From the findings it can be said that Calvin's educative theological thought is purely based on the Bible. For Calvin, the teaching of the Christian faith is determined by the Bible and interpretations that are right and right and can have a good influence on the church and society. Calvin is always thinking of the right way so that the quality of the faith of the congregation continues to develop well and can be implemented in a variety of social life. In the midst of challenges today the church is required not to be carried away by various kinds of ideas that do not emphasize the Bible as the basis of human life. As it was done, Calvin the priests, teachers of religion today are required with full responsibility to think deeply about ways to continue to nourish the true Christian faith based on the Scriptures so that the quality of their faith is well preserved and lives glorifying God.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the characteristics and realities of the Ra'ian culture, the christian education strategy for the Ra'ian culture, the supporting and inhibiting factors and the efforts to implement the Rai'an cultural values ​in building the youth character. This research method is the descriptive qualitative research conducted in the North Sawang Village, Melonguane District in 2020. The data were collected through observation, interviews and documentary study. From the outcomes of the data analysis and interpretation, it is found that; (1). In reality, this Rai’an culture contains positive meaning in accordance with Christian teachings and has cultural values ​​that can be used as substance for the character building. The Rai’an culture has undergone a shift due to a lack of knowledge from the youth about the Rai’an culture. (2). Advice and sermons as the ways to build the character as they contain teachings based on the gospel, as well as the applicaton or approach of the five movements of the Groome as a way of instilling rai’an cultural values, 3). The supporting factors, namely parents at home who also collaborate with traditional elders, village leaders and religious figures, make customary activity programs. The inhibiting factors of social and Technology Advancements are uncontrollable use of collphones (online games) but also the social environment that drivers them to carry out deviant behavior. (4). The effort that can be made is to involve the youth in organizational activities in the village and in the church as well as seminars containing the cultural wealth that exists in the Talaud Island Regency, especially those in the village of North Sawang. As a conclusion of these findings, this Rai’an culture must be introduced to the youth properly in the way of utilizing the cultural values ​​as the teaching materials by Christian educators. The parents and the leaders of the village, custom and church work together to formulate programs in building the youth character.
