Abstract

Regional autonomy is a policy in which the government system shifts from a centralized system to a decentralized one. The increase in the Balancing Fund is expected to be followed by an increase in regional fiscal independence in the form of a significant increase in Local Revenue (PAD) as a reflection of regional independence. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Regional Expenditure, Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH), General Allocation Funds (DAU) on Regional Original Revenues in Central Java Province. This research uses a quantitative approach with a regression test. The results showed that the allocation of Regional Expenditures and Revenue Sharing Funds have a positive effect on Regional Original Revenues, while the General Allocation Funds have a negative effect on Regional Original Revenues.

Abstract

Empirical studies show that the relationship between the average length of schooling and the open unemployment rate is negatively and significantly correlated. Therefore, this study introduces the mediating variable of the rate of economic growth to analyze the path of the relationship between the average length of schooling and the open unemployment rate. The aim of the study was to test whether the rate of economic growth mediates the effect of the average length of schooling on the open unemployment rate. The data used is secondary data in Banten Province in the period 2012-2020. The method used in this research is path analysis. The results of the study indicate that the rate of economic growth mediates the relationship between the average length of schooling and the open unemployment rate by partial mediation. These findings indicate the importance of improving the quality of human resources through length of schooling in order to reduce the open unemployment rate.

Abstract

Indonesia is ranked 4th as the country with the most population in the world. The large population in Indonesia causes an increase in the demand for basic needs. A large population has caused the market that supplies basic needs to increase. Undeniably, some consumers have switched to the modern market because of the rapid development experienced by the current market. The current market can meet the needs of very diverse consumers. This study aims to determine whether the rapid growth of the modern market ensures that consumer preferences shift towards the current market. Analyze whether income factors, distance from home to the nearest traditional market and the closest modern market, facilities, and operating hours influence consumer preferences in choosing a place to shop for basic needs. This study uses logistic regression as a quantitative analysis. Based on the research and data analysis results, two variables affect consumer preferences: facilities and distance from home to the nearest modern market. In comparison, three variables do not affect consumer preferences: income, distance from home to the nearest traditional market, and operating hours. Based on the results obtained through interviews with as many as 110 respondents, there were 70 respondents, or 64 percent of respondents, chose to shop at the modern market. The thing that consumers want most when shopping is convenience. Consumers in Indonesia itself are very diverse. Therefore, traditional and contemporary markets can increase this convenience in several ways, such as the neat arrangement of goods, a clean environment, and big parking lots.

Consumers' preferences for traditional foods such as dodol, skin crackers, wajit, rengginang, and processed bananas thoughted to reflect the various patterns of demand for these traditional foods. This study aims to analyze the effect of price, income, education, taste, and promotion as people's preferences for traditional Garut food and analyze people's demand for traditional Garut food, using primary data with a sample of 100 respondents determined based on accidental sampling. The analysis used was logistic regression and the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS). This research offers novelty in the form of promotional variables, and demand analysis through the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) approach analyzes the demand for traditional Garut food. The study results are (1) Price has a significant positive effect on people's preferences for traditional food. Income and education do not affect people's preferences for traditional food. Food taste and promotion have a significant positive effect on people's preferences for traditional food. (2) The highest demand for traditional food is dodol. The price changes have not influenced the demand for traditional food or inelastic elasticity. The price elasticity itself is positive inelastic, while most of the cross elasticity is positive, which means that traditional foods replace one another (substitutions).

Abstract

The research objective is to analyze the efficiency of Islamic banking in Indonesia from 2015 to 2018. The quantitative approach was chosen to be used to determine and answer in this research stage. The choice of analysis in this study uses the Stochastic Frontier Approach (SFA) method. The criteria for determining variables based on estimated cost functions consist of input variables in the form of savings and labor, and output variables in the form of financing and securities, the independent variable is total costs. The sample consisted of 10 Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) used in this study. The overall average efficiency value of Islamic banking is 85.7%, with an increase in value every year in the observation period. Savings and labor variables have a positive effect on total costs, financing variables and securities have a negative sign of total costs during the selected observation period. Keywords: efficiency, Stochastic Frontier Approach (SFA), sharia banks.

Abstract

This study explores the development strategy of Gegesik Kulon, a potential tourism village in Cirebon that uniquely combines travel with cultural preservation. However, it faces challenges such as suboptimal tourism management and low carrying capacity among stakeholders. Additionally, this area has the highest poverty rate in Cirebon Regency. By utilizing the MACTOR method, this study identifies the involvement of stakeholders in the development process of the Gegesik Kulon Tourism Village. Through purposive sampling based on the Quadruple Helix concept, the study highlights the importance of collaboration among academics, local governments, tourists, and business actors. The results indicate that the main actors include Kuwu Gegesik Kulon, the Tourism Awareness Group, the Cirebon Regency Culture and Tourism Office, and academics, all of whom play a crucial role in the development of village tourism. These findings advocate for a development strategy that emphasizes stakeholder integration to promote sustainable tourism, ultimately aiming to enhance the economic viability and integrity of Gegesik Kulon's cultural tourism.
