Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in utilizing digital marketing, marketplaces, and social media as effective product promotion strategies. The problems faced by MSME partners include low digital literacy, suboptimal use of marketplaces, difficulties in creating attractive promotional content, limited advertising budgets, and lack of confidence in using digital technology. Therefore, the solution offered in this program was through intensive training on digital marketing, marketplace utilization, social media strategies, and the creation of promotional content. The implementation methods involved identifying partner problems, preparing training modules, conducting hands-on workshops, as well as providing mentoring and monitoring. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of digital marketing and managing marketplace accounts. Participants were able to independently create marketplace and business social media accounts, upload their products, and produce attractive promotional content. In addition, participants began to understand effective paid advertising strategies and were able to apply them in their product promotions. The outcomes of this program included active marketplace accounts, business social media accounts, quality promotional content, digital marketing training modules, and the formation of a digital MSME community as a platform for sharing experiences and support. This program is expected to encourage MSMEs to be more independent, expand their market reach, increase sales, and compete optimally in the digital era. The sustainability of this program is supported by continuous mentoring and online mentoring groups as a means of consultation and further development for MSME actors.

Abstract

Waste management is an increasingly pressing environmental issue, including at the village level. This Community Partnership Program aims to provide education to villagers regarding the correct management of organic and inorganic waste. Activities include outreach on the types of waste, the negative impacts of improper waste management, methods of waste sorting at the household level, and techniques for processing organic waste into compost and utilizing inorganic waste through recycling. It is expected that, through this program, villagers can increase their awareness and knowledge about the importance of sustainable waste management, and be able to implement independent waste sorting and processing practices, thereby creating a cleaner and healthier village environment.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought significant impacts on society, particularly in terms of access to information, communication, and online learning. However, this progress also comes with various challenges, especially concerning digital security, the spread of hoaxes, and the low level of digital literacy among students and the general public. The lack of ability to distinguish between valid and invalid information, as well as limited awareness of online ethics and safety, has become an urgent issue that must be addressed through proper education. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve digital literacy through training on internet safety and anti-hoax education for students and the local community in the partner area. The method used involves a participatory educational approach through seminars, interactive discussions, case studies, and simulations of information source verification. The training materials cover recognizing hoaxes and disinformation, using credible information sources, maintaining digital privacy, and practicing ethical communication on social media. The results of the program showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge regarding hoax characteristics, fact-checking techniques, and the importance of maintaining a responsible digital footprint. Participants also became more critical in consuming information and demonstrated behavioral changes in using the internet safely and responsibly. This training not only enhances individual capacity but also strengthens social resilience in facing the flow of information in the digital era. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable effort in fostering a culture of healthy and wise digital literacy, and it can be replicated in schools and other communities to broaden its impact.

Abstract

Improving the competitiveness of local products in the digital era requires micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be able to utilize information technology in their marketing processes. However, many local business actors still rely on conventional promotional methods and have not yet optimized the use of digital media. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to assist partner MSMEs in increasing their product visibility through website creation and social media management as promotional tools. The program was carried out in several stages: identifying partner needs, training in the creation and management of websites using WordPress, training in content design and marketing strategies via social media (Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp Business), and mentoring in content creation and account management. During the program, partners were equipped with basic skills to build a simple online store website, copywriting techniques, product photography using smartphones, and the use of free design tools such as Canva. The results of the activity show that partners who previously had no online presence now have active websites displaying product catalogs, business profiles, and contact information. In addition, the partners’ social media accounts became more active and strategically managed, featuring consistent and engaging promotional content. This activity also increased partners’ understanding of the importance of digital identity and content-based marketing strategies. The PKM provided direct impact in the form of increased consumer trust in local brands, enhanced sales potential, and better preparedness of MSMEs to compete in the digital market. Moving forward, this training can be replicated in various local business communities as part of a technology-based community economic empowerment effort.

Abstract

Rice-field rats (Rattus argentiventer) continue to cause substantial rice yield losses in Indonesia, reaching up to 30% per season. This study presents a solar-powered IoT-based ultrasonic deterrent system designed for autonomous operation in off-grid rural environments. The system integrates PIR motion detection, PWM-controlled ultrasonic emission (16–20 kHz; 85–95 dB), and a solar-battery energy subsystem to ensure continuous nocturnal functionality. Field validation involving 21 rats demonstrated measurable short-term behavioral disruption, with 42.9% avoidance and 33.3% panic responses. Electrical testing confirmed stable night-time performance, with an average power output of 26.8 W during peak rodent activity. Statistical analysis showed χ²(2, N = 21) = 2.38, p = 0.30. While statistical significance was not achieved, the observed effect size (Cramer’s V = 0.24) indicates a moderate behavioral association, supporting practical deterrent potential under field conditions. Unlike prior studies that evaluate sensing or energy components separately, this research integrates renewable energy autonomy, real-field behavioral validation, and IoT-based automation within a single operational framework. The findings establish a foundation for adaptive, machine-learning-driven pest control systems to enhance sustainable rice-field management
