Abstract

The rapidly evolving job landscape in the digital era requires job seekers to continuously adapt to emerging skills driven by technological advancements across various industries. However, many job seekers struggle to keep up with these changing skill demands, while existing job portals often lack features that recommend relevant skills. To address this issue, this study proposes a skill recommendation system based on the User-Based Collaborative Filtering approach, which considers similarities between users’ preferences. Two similarity measurement methods, Log-Likelihood Similarity and Cosine Similarity, are applied and compared to evaluate their effectiveness. The system matches user skill profiles with skill requirements extracted from job vacancy data, where job postings are also treated as user representations. The dataset was collected from the Jobstreet job portal using web scraping techniques, ensuring relevance to real-world job market conditions. The system performance was evaluated using the Hit Rate Matrix. The results show that the Log-Likelihood Similarity method achieved a hit rate of 0.73, outperforming the Cosine Similarity method, which obtained a score of 0.51. This indicates that Log-Likelihood Similarity provides more accurate and relevant skill recommendations. Overall, the proposed system demonstrates the potential to assist job seekers in identifying relevant skills aligned with current market demands, thereby supporting better career decision-making in a competitive and dynamic job environment.

Abstract

One of the policies of the Indonesian Government in preventing the spread of Covid-19 is the work from home (WFH) policy for most institutions and companies. With the reduction of physical activity, interactions at work and communication with various parties must take advantage of technology including telephone, electronic mail, instant messages, and video calls. As a non-formal education institution, PKBM Bhakti Asih has students, most of whom have worked in various fields of work. One of the problems in PKBM Bhakti Asih related to long-distance communication patterns is the unequal technological literacy for all students. Lack of socialization and training to improve technological literacy causes difficulties for students to communicate interactively with many parties, both in work and in teaching and learning. This is the background for the implementation of this community service activity. The main objective of this activity is to improve technological literacy for PKBM Bhakti Asih students in using the Zoom Cloud Meeting application as a means of mass video communication. Participants in this activity involved students and teachers at PKBM Bhakti Asih. Apart from being useful in facilitating teaching and learning activities, for students, of course, this training will be useful in working in their respective companies.

Abstract

Health and nutrition in the elderly play a crucial role in determining the quality of human resources, especially for the elderly themselves. The ageing process causes a decrease in the ability of body tissues to regenerate, making the elderly more vulnerable to infections and organ damage. Indonesia is currently experiencing an increase in the number of elderly, from 18 million people (7.56%) in 2010 to 25.9 million people (9.7%) in 2019, and is predicted to reach 48.2 million people (15.77%) in 2035. This study aims to determine the most effective algorithm for identifying the nutritional status of the elderly, by comparing three algorithms, namely Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and Naïve Bayes. The methodology applied is CRISP-DM, and algorithm performance evaluation is carried out using the accuracy metric of the Confusion Matrix. The results showed that Decision Tree achieved the highest accuracy (95.55%), followed by Naïve Bayes (94.18%) and KNN (94.01%). The combination of algorithms provides optimal results because each algorithm can capture different patterns in the data, so the integration of the results can reduce errors and increase accuracy in the classification of the nutritional status of the elderly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada perancangan dan pengembangan kendaraan mini berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk memungkinkan kontrol komprehensif dan pemantauan visual secara waktu nyata melalui antarmuka web khusus, mengintegrasikan fungsionalitas utama seperti tampilan langsung (live view), kontrol manual, dan operasi otonom, yang semuanya dapat diakses dari satu halaman web yang interaktif dan responsif. Mikrokontroler ESP32-CAM berfungsi sebagai unit pemrosesan sentral, menangani pemrosesan digital, konektivitas nirkabel, dan fungsi kamera, yang krusial untuk streaming video waktu nyata dan tugas pengenalan visual, menjadikannya ideal untuk aplikasi keamanan dan otomasi IoT, dengan fitur tampilan langsung yang mengalirkan gambar waktu nyata dari kamera ESP32-CAM ke antarmuka web tanpa perekaman. Antarmuka web kustom memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengontrol pergerakan kendaraan secara manual menggunakan tombol virtual, sementara kendaraan ini juga dilengkapi mode otonom yang dapat diaktifkan dengan satu tombol di halaman web, memungkinkan kendaraan bergerak secara independen menggunakan masukan sensor, khususnya sensor ultrasonik (HC-SR04) untuk mendeteksi rintangan dan mencegah tabrakan. Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) digunakan sebagai protokol komunikasi, memfasilitasi pertukaran data yang ringan dan efisien antara kendaraan dan antarmuka web melalui internet, sehingga memungkinkan kontrol jarak jauh dari lokasi mana pun. Implementasi sistem melibatkan perangkat keras seperti ESP32-CAM, driver motor L298N, motor DC, dan sensor ultrasonik yang dipasang pada Kit Sasis Cerdas 4WD, serta komponen perangkat lunak seperti Arduino IDE untuk firmware dan aplikasi web yang dibangun dengan React JS untuk antarmuka pengguna, menggunakan broker MQTT berbasis cloud (HiveMQ Cloud) untuk komunikasi. Pendekatan terintegrasi ini memastikan operasi yang stabil dan responsif, menjadikan sistem ini cocok untuk tujuan pendidikan, eksperimen teknologi, dan prototipe di bidang IoT dan kendaraan interaktif, sekaligus mengatasi kesenjangan dalam solusi terintegrasi yang menggabungkan tampilan langsung, kontrol manual, dan fitur otonom dalam satu platform web.
