Abstract

Students have problems in understanding Students have problems in understanding of Molecule Shapes Theory, this can be caused by the lack of visualization of the spatial structure of molecules. So that requires teachers to be creative and innovative, for example by utilizing technology-based learning media. One of the technology-based media that can be used to deliver molecular form material is the PhET simulation media. The purpose of this research is to see the effectiveness of PhET simulation media on mastering the concept of molecular shapes. The research method used was quasi-experimental. The research design used was nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study were students of class X IPA 1 totaling 39 students and X IPA 2 totaling 40 students. The research instrument used was a multiple choice test to see student learning outcomes and a questionnaire to determine student responses to the use of PhET media. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Research results from the Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test showed that learning using the PhET simulation media in the experimental class was more effective in improving students' understanding of concepts in molecular form material compared to book media.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the low critical thinking skills of students caused by the inappropriate use of learning models. POGIL and GI learning model is used as a learning model in accordance with the curriculum 2013. Where is aims to determine whether or not there is a difference application oflearning model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) with Guided Inquiry (GI) learning model in students critical thinking skills on chemical equilibrium material. This research was conducted at SMAN 101 West Jakarta. The research method used in this research is experimental method, with research design the static group pretest-posttest design. The samples were taken by sampling purposive and divided into two experimental groups that is POGIL experimental group and GI experimental group. The technique of collecting data obtained through test instrument in essay form as many as 15 item which then analyzed by using t-test. The result of t-test is obtained by sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 and significant level (a) = 0.05. So that sig. 2-tailed smaller than significant (a) (0.000 <0.05) then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. This shows that there are significant differences in the application of learning model Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) with learning model Guided Inquiry (GI) in students critical thinking skills. The results of this study can be used as a recommendation of innovative learning models in teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model based on ethnoscience on students' critical thinking skills on colloidal material. Experiments were conducted on a sample of 36 experimental class students with an ethnoscience-based problem-based learning model and 36 experimental class students with a convention learning model. This research method is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The instruments used are essay tests and observation sheets. The results of this study indicate that the average posttest in the experimental class is 76.08, which is higher than the control class, which is 69.33. These results indicate that the use of ethnoscience-based learning problem-based learning models on colloidal material is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills compared to using conventional models.

Abstract

One of the factors directly related to learning activities that affects the level of students' scientific literacy is the use of textbooks. Given the importance of mastering the ability of scientific literacy by students, the learning process of students needs to be supported by the use of textbooks that are able to provide science literacy content. The purpose of this research to know the science literacy level on chemistry textbook for 11th grade XI based on indicators of science literacy. The indicators are knowledge of science, investigative nature of science, science as the way of thinking, and interaction among science, technology and society. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The analyzed books were books that used in State Senior High School in Bogor country. The instruments used is observation sheet containing an analysis table of science literacy indicators. The result of the research is showed the level of science literacy that apperas is 45,51% for knowledge of science indicator, 41,03% for investigative nature of science indicator, 8,33% for science as the way of thinking indicator, and 5,13% for interaction among science, technology and society indicator. From the result, it can be conclude that, generally, the chemistry textbook for 11th grade State Senior High School that analyzed more present knowledge of science and less present science as the way of thinking. Abstract

Praktikum Kimia Organik merupakan salah satu contoh pekerjaan yang memiliki risiko bahaya akibat penggunaan alat dan bahan kimia yang tidak sesuai prosedur. Metode Job Safety Analysis dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya pada praktikum Kimia Organik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui penggunaan Job Safety Analysis dalam menganalisis potensi bahaya pada praktikum Kimia Organik. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan 41 mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia sebagai sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi Job Safety Analysis (JSA) dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 16 potensi bahaya yang di identifikasi dengan metode Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Hasil analisis nilai tingkat risiko (Level Risiko) potensi bahaya pada keseluruhan langkah kerja yang terbagi menjadi empat tahap praktikum menunjukan 19% bersifat Risiko Sangat Tinggi (Extreme Risks) , 27% bersifat Risiko Tinggi (High Risks), 19% bersifat Risiko Sedang (Moderate Risks) dan 35% bersifat Risiko Rendah (Low Risks). Upaya keselamatan dan keamanan kerja (K3) yang dapat dilakukan dalam mengatasi risiko potensi bahaya tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan APD sesuai prosedur, mengetahui penggunaan SOP alat laboratorium dan MSDS bahan kimia serta memahami tentang contoh, penyebab, dampak dan pencegahan kecelakaan kerja selama kegiatan praktikum Kimia Organik.

Abstract

  This research examines the application of brain-based learning (BBL) elements in social studies learning in Indonesia. It focused on social studies teachers in junior high schools in South Tangerang City and collected data from 100 social studies teachers. This research focused on social studies teachers in junior high schools in South Tangerang City. Each school is represented by one social studies teacher, so data is collected from 100 social studies teachers. The primary data collected in this study was obtained through the distribution of the questionnaire carried out via Google Form by utilizing the MGMP IPS in South Tangerang. The results show that the implementation of BBL in South Tangerang City did not run optimally because of two things: first, most of the BBL aspects had not been carried out optimally by teachers. Teachers rarely do many components of brain-based learning systems. Second, the survey results show that the five aspects of BBL are not carried out in harmony in social studies learning. BBL is a harmony learning pattern, where the five elements are carried out simultaneously, practically, and harmoniously because one part supports the other. If one part is too dominant, it will negatively impact learning outcomes.

Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia, Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, 2022.Pembelajaran yang baik dilihat dari bagaimana suasana kelas serta interaksi antara guru dan siswa. Penggunaan media pembelajaran yang konvensional dan tidak bervariasi menyebabkan siswa tidak bersemangat dan akan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan adanya pengaruh media pembelajaran Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem periodik unsur. Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen (Quasi Experimental) dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent control group design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 siswa SMA Mitra Persada Jawilan tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yaitu 30 siswa X IPA 1 kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa X IPA 2 kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan soal tes objektif untuk menguku hasil belajar pada materi sistem periodik unsur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah melakukan pembelajaran menggunakan Wordwall dengan hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan rata-rata nilai posttest untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,15 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 70,15. Adapun hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney terdapat hasil Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,003 Nilai Sig (2-tailed) ini < ? (0,05). Hal ini berarti menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai posttest yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem periodik unsur. Kata Kunci : wordwall, hasil belajar, sistem periodik unsur.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO), on March 11, 2020, declared Covid-19 as a pandemic that has not only severely affected humankind but also frozen almost all areas of life on the planet. Since then, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the most considerable turmoil in the education sector. To ensure the education process continues, the Minsitry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia responded to this situation by closing schools and rolling out distance learning options for their students. Thus, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of Chemistry distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method employed in this study is descriptive quantitative using an online questionnaire as the data collection tool. A total of 108 MIPA students at SMAN 1 Cikarang Pusat were selected using a probability sampling technique. The results of this study in the form of student response analysis obtained 85% on the overall aspects of the effectiveness of Chemistry distance learning with very effective criteria.

Abstract

Pembelajaran dalam jaringan menjadikan mahasiswa mengalami kelelahan dan kurang memiliki inisiatif mengerjakan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan belajar. Hal ini mengakibatkan mahasiswa melakukan tindakan penundaan dalam mengerjakan tugas-tugas akademik yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara student burnout dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia selama pembelajaran dalam jaringan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah purposive sampling dengan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2019, 2020, dan 2021 di Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia, Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta yang berjumlah 206 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang dipakai berupa angket student burnout dan angket prokrastinasi akademik. Teknik uji korelasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan positif antara student burnout dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia selama pembelajaran dalam jaringan dengan derajat hubungan adalah korelasi kuat, menggambarkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat student burnout yang dimiliki mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi kecenderungan mahasiswa dalam melakukan tindakan prokrastinasi akademik.
