Abstract

The increase in the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is not consistent with the findings of studies on positive entrepreneurial intention. Therefore, it is essential to assess the appropriateness of the conducted research. This study aims to validate the possibility of entrepreneurial despondency and whether these despondency are influenced by factors such as negative attitudes, subjective norms, and low self-efficacy. The study employed purposive sampling techniques with a sample size of 89 Generation Z students. Statistical analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares through SmartPLS. The findings indicate that negative attitudes have a significant positive impact on entrepreneurial despondency. Moreover, subjective norms were found to exert a significant positive influence on entrepreneurial despondency. Additionally, low self-efficacy was observed to have a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial despondency. Regarding the identification of the factors that contribute to entrepreneurial despondency and methods to increase generation Z students' inclination to pursue entrepreneurship, this research has theoretical and practical implications

Abstract

Penggunaan alat pembayaran telah mengalami kemajuan yang pesat. Perkembangan tersebut berupa alat pembayaran online yang sangat membantu dan mempercepat proses pembayaran. Beragam alat pembayaran online yang memudahkan masyarakat dalam melakukan transaksi penjualan dan pembelian, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) merupakan standar kode QR Nasional sebagai media pembayaran kode QR di Indonesia yang diluncurkan oleh Bank Indonesia. Dengan penggunaan E-Wallet sebagai alat pembayaran untuk beberapa merchant seperti ShopeePay dan lainnya sangat membantu sebagai alat transaksi pembayaran yang efektif  dan  efisien  serta  mampu  berintegrasi dengan software yang menggunakan InterActive QRIS Open API Platform. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan tim Dosen STIESIA Surabaya pada pelaku UMKM di Pandegiling Surabaya dengan  menggunakan metode sosialisasi mengenai manfaat menggunakan QRIS dimana para pelaku UMKM masih banyak yang belum mengetahui informasi penggunaan pembayaran online. Adapun manfaat dari hasil  kegiatan  ini  langsung  dipraktekkan  oleh  pelaku  UMKM Pandegiling untuk  melakukan penggunaan aplikasi QRIS dalam transaksi pembayaran. Sehingga tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada para pelaku UMKM di Pandegiling Surabaya untuk dapat bersaing dan bertransformasi di era digital.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the multifaceted impact of Industry 4.0 on employee performance through the involvement of leadership agility, perceived organizational support, organizational commitment, and readiness for change in PT Angkasa Pura I - Juanda, the company responsible for   overseeing airports in Indonesia. This study employs random sampling with specific inclusion criteria to gather the respondent. The data was collected from 150 employees of PT Angkasa Pura I - Juanda and analyzed using Partial Least Square through SmartPLS. The results show that the leadership agility significantly and positively influences the employee performance, individual readiness for change, and organizational commitment. Further, the perceived organizational support significantly and positively influences the organizational commitment and employee performance. Additionally, both the individual readiness for change and organizational commitment significantly and positively influences the employee performance. These results provide several implications related to the importance of   leadership agility, perceived organizational support, organizational commitment, and readiness for change in fostering employee performance.JEL: D23, M12, O15.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of emotional value, social value, connectedness, and satisfaction on the consumers' repurchasing intentions of merchandise and physical releases of hardcore bands. The research was quantitative. Furthermore, the data collection technique was a non-probability sampling. In line with that, there were 97 respondents as the sample. The instrument in the data collection technique was a questionnaire. The questionnaires were distributed to the respondents. Moreover, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regressions with SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution). The result of the classical assumption test showed that there were not any fraud variables. Additionally, the result indicated that both social value and satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on the consumers' repurchasing intention of merchandise and physical releases of hardcore bands. However, emotional value as well as connectedness had a positive but insignificant effect on the consumers' repurchasing intention of merchandise and physical releases of hardcore bands.

Abstract

In Indonesia, numerous young retail investors exhibit a lack of adequate financial knowledge and comprehension of investment fundamentals, potentially resulting in suboptimal investment choices and heightened financial exposure. This research seeks to examine how financial literacy, herding, risk perception, and attitude toward investment can enhance the decision-making process for students in investments, enabling them to make more educated and self-assured selections in financial markets. The study employed non-probability purposive sampling, involving 84 Generation Z participants. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square (PLS) via SmartPLS. The findings reveal that financial literacy positively and significantly influences investment decision-making. Conversely, herding does not have a substantial impact on investment choices. Risk perception demonstrates a significant negative effect on investment decision-making, whilst attitude towards investment shows a significant positive influence. The study also found that attitude towards investment does not mediate the relationship between financial literacy and investment decision-making, nor does it mediate the impact of risk perception on investment decisions. However, it does mediate the influence of herding on investment decision-making. These outcomes contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of how each antecedent variable affects the decision-making processes of Generation Z students, offering valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and financial institutions aiming to improve investment education and support for young investors.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of MSME actors in RT. 07 RW. 01, Kebonsari Jambangan Village, Surabaya City, in utilizing the Shopee e-commerce platform to increase sales and competitiveness of their products. The training and mentoring methods are structured through lectures, demonstrations, and practice. The results of the community service activity are an increase in participants' understanding and skills in using the Shopee application. Participants are able to create and manage online stores, implement effective marketing strategies, and increase product sales and market reach. These findings indicate that structured training and mentoring in using e-commerce platforms such as Shopee can provide significant benefits for MSMEs by increasing their sales and market reach.

Abstract

Countless businesses had to close permanently, and workers had to be laid off during Covid-19 pandemic, thus the emergence of entrepreneurs is crucial for Indonesia's economic recovery. This study aims to analyze further the extended systemic entrepreneurship intention model and its impact on students in Surabaya. Purposive sampling was used toward 205 students. Results were analyzed using partial least square through SmartPLS. Reciprocal relationships among all the antecedent variables of entrepreneurial intention were found to be positive and significant. Regarding the impact of the antecedent variables of entrepreneurial intention such as perceived convenience, risk tolerance, perceived feasibility and attitude, only perceived feasibility was found to have no effect on entrepreneurial intention. There are no differences in entrepreneurial intention among students with or without entrepreneurial family backgrounds. There are no differences in entrepreneurial intention among students with or without prior entrepreneurial experience. This study provides implication towards students' entrepreneurial intention during covid-19 pandemic and the robustness of systemic entrepreneurship intention model in predicting it.

Abstract

Despite various government initiatives to promote entrepreneurship, Indonesia's entrepreneurial growth remains low, with a minimal increase in entrepreneurial rates and one of the lowest rankings in Southeast Asia. Prior research on entrepreneurial intentions in Indonesia has primarily focused on pull factors, while the role of push factors remains underexplored. The objective of this research is to examine how push factors, including unemployment, job dissatisfaction, and unfavorable economic conditions on the entrepreneurial intention and behavior of MSME owners situated in North Jakarta. This study employs a non-probability purposive sampling technique, targeting MSME owners in North Jakarta as respondents. Data from 80 MSME owners were collected to achieve a statistical power of 80%. The study utilizes Partial Least Squares (PLS) to analyze the data. The results indicate that unemployment has a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial intention but does not directly influence entrepreneurial behavior. Job dissatisfaction does not significantly affect either entrepreneurial intention or entrepreneurial behavior. Economic situation has a strong positive influence on entrepreneurial intention but does not directly impact entrepreneurial behavior. Entrepreneurial intention significantly influences entrepreneurial behavior. Entrepreneurial intention mediates the relationship between unemployment and entrepreneurial behavior, as well as between economic situation and entrepreneurial behavior, while no significant mediation effect is found for job dissatisfaction. This study highlights the need for policy support to strengthen entrepreneurial intention among unemployed individuals, as it drives entrepreneurial behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara service quality dan intention pada penggunaan aplikasi mobile yang memiliki layanan freemium oleh mahasiswa di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling terhadap 149 mahasiswa. Kriteria sampel adalah mahasiswa yang menggunakan aplikasi dengan layanan freemium di smartphone yang mereka miliki. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat analisis statistic partial least square dengan software SMART PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perceived service quality berpengaruh positif signifkan terhadap usage intention dan purchase intention (2) assurance, empathy, reliability dan responsiveness berpengaruh positif namun hanya responsiveness yang pengaruhnya signifikan terhadap usage intention (3) assurance, empathy, reliability dan responsiveness berpengaruh positif namun hanya assurance yang pengaruhnya signifikan terhadap purchase intention (4) usage intention berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap purchase intention.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan UMKM yang ada di Desa Karangrejo Pasuruan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan, sebagian besar UMKM di Desa Karangrejo Pasuruan masih melakukan pemasaran secara konvensional. Seluruh UMKM yang ada juga belum pernah melakukan pencatatan transaksi keuangan selama kegiatan usaha mereka berjalan. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa masih terdapat potensi yang besar pada UMKM Desa Karangrejo Pasuruan untuk dapat lebih maju dibandingkan kondisi mereka pada saat ini. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui sosialisasi, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Sosialisasi dilakukan terkait pemasaran digital dan pembukuan sederhana. Pendampingan dilakukan agar UMKM dapat menerapkan pembukuan sederhana pada kegiatan operasional usaha mereka sehari-hari. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk melihat seberapa banyak UMKM yang telah menerapkan pembukuan sederhana pada usaha yang mereka jalankan. Dalam pelaksanaannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini melibatkan mahasiswa HIMA S1 Akuntansi STIESIA Surabaya dan didukung oleh perangkat desa setempat. Dari 68 UMKM yang teridentifikasi, 28 diantaranya hadir pada saat penyampaian sosialisasi, sejumlah 31 UMKM berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan mentoring. Namun ketika dilakukan evaluasi hanya di temukan 5 UMKM yang telah menerapkan pembukuan sederhana pada usaha yang mereka jalankan
