Abstract

Abstract Internet use has become part of students' daily activities. Such intense internet use has negative consequences in the form of Problematic Internet Use (PIU). PIU behavior can have an impact on Self-Regulation and the Boredom Feedback Model (BFM), which leads to Academic Procrastination behavior. Based on this, this study was conducted with the aim of quantitatively testing the influence of Problematic Internet Use (PIU) behavior on Academic Procrastination among students. This study involved 178 students, predominantly female (78.7%), aged 18–21 years, with the majority of participants exhibiting moderate levels of Problematic Internet Use (PIU), selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesia Problematic Internet Use Scale and the Multidimensional Academic Procrastination Scale. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression tests, with significant results (F=71.18, p <.001). These results show that PIU has a significant and positive effect on Academic Procrastination. This is evidenced by the fact that PIU behavior can explain 28.8% of the variance in Academic Procrastination, with a regression coefficient of B = 0.362.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the relationship between public perceptions and anxiety regarding the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program. A quantitative research design was employed with 304 participants. Purposive sampling was used, and data were collected through an online survey utilizing a perception scale and an anxiety scale. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between perception and anxiety, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.258 and p < 0.001. These findings indicate that perceptions play an important role in shaping emotional responses to public policies, particularly when such policies are perceived as involving risk or uncertainty. Furthermore, psychological factors such as cognitive appraisal and perceived control also influence how a policy is interpreted and how levels of anxiety are formed. Thus, these findings confirm that perception functions as one of the psychological factors contributing to the emergence of anxiety. However, there are still other factors beyond the scope of this study that influence public anxiety.

Abstract

Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) in Hong Kong face significant psychological stress due to heavy workloads, social isolation, and cultural adaptation pressures. Limited access to mental health services exacerbates this condition. This community service program aims to improve the stress management skills of Indonesian migrant workers through the Mindfulness-Based Stress Approach (MBSA) CR8+. The program was implemented comprehensively with a training design using a participatory and educational approach that was oriented towards increasing individual capacity in managing stress through mindfulness techniques. This training was attended by 200 participants.. The intervention included online training (Zoom and Google Classroom) and offline training in Hong Kong, with the MBSA CR8+ module covering mindfulness techniques, progressive relaxation, emotion regulation, and guided breathing. Pre-test results showed that 45% of participants experienced high stress and 40% experienced moderate stress, with the dominant complaints being heavy workloads (55%) and limited rest time (48%). Post-test results showed a decrease in physical symptoms (40% to 35%) and negative emotions (30% to 25%), as well as a significant increase in positive coping strategies from 10% to 20%. The MBSA CR8+ approach has been proven effective in increasing self-awareness and stress regulation in Indonesian migrant workers. This model has potential for replication in migrant worker communities in other countries. This program produces a mindfulness-based training module that can be sustainably adopted by community partners.
