Abstract

This study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills with Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted google sites on through lesson study practice on colloid topic. The research was conducted in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) over two open class cycles involving 34 students of class XI-C at state senior high school (SMAN) 2 Malang. The learning strategies used were mind mapping in cycle I and colloid-based product design projects in cycle II. Data were collected through observation sheets and creative thinking skills questionnaires based on Torrance’s indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results showed a significant increase in the average score of students' creative thinking skills from 1.97 (fair) in cycle I to 2.64 (good) in cycle II. The highest improvement occurred in elaboration and flexibility indicators, while originality improved but remained in the fair category. These findings indicate that the integration of context-based digital media with the PBL model and reflective practices such as lesson study can gradually and significantly improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Metode pembelajaran konvensional dan kurangnya inovasi dalam pembelajaran berdampak pada rasa bosan dan kurangnya keaktifan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Kurangnya keaktifan disebabkan oleh rendahnya motivasi yang ada dalam diri mereka, sehingga dapat berdampak pada kurang maksimalnya hasil belajar. Permasalahan tersebut menuntut adanya inovasi yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Inovasi yang diberikan berupa implementasi E-LKPD berbasis Live Worksheets dengan model discovery learning terhadap materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi dan tes, dengan subjek penelitian kelas XI sebanyak 36 peserta didik. Analisis data pada penelitian tindakan kelas dalam kerangka lesson study ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pada siklus I, persentase motivasi belajar dan peserta didik yang memenuhi KKM berturut-turut adalah 27,78% dan 63,89%. Siklus II, persentase motivasi belajar dan peserta didik yang memenuhi KKM adalah 41,67% dan 72,22%. Selanjutnya, siklus III, persentase motivasi belajar dan peserta didik yang memenuhi KKM berturut-turut adalah 80,56% dan 86,11%. Secara keseluruhan, implementasi E-LKPD berbasis Live Worksheets dengan model discovery learning ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Coleega, an Android-based application integrated with the Representation Learning Cycle (RLC) model, in enhancing students’ representational competence on colligative properties of solutions. The RLC model, adapted from Problem-Based Science, structures learning into six phases: orientation, questioning, planning, execution, analysis, and presentation. Conducted at a senior high school in East Java with 68 students selected via cluster random sampling, the study employed pretests and posttests to measure conceptual understanding and representational skills. Validation confirmed feasibility (Aiken’s V = 0.74) and readability (92%). Effectiveness was demonstrated by independent t-test (p < 0.001), showing significantly higher posttest scores in the experimental group (M = 87.94) compared to the control (M = 80.94). Findings highlight the novelty of embedding RLC into mobile technology, demonstrating that Coleega is both feasible and effective in strengthening representational competence in chemistry learning.
