Abstract

One of the learning elements in Islamic Religious Education is the element of Islamic Cultural History (SKI). Through the right learning approach, Islamic Religious Education teachers play a role in improving literacy skills and reading comprehension of Islamic Cultural History events by using interactive storytelling methods. Interactive storytelling is not a contemporary learning method. However, interactive storytelling is rarely employed in the field of Islamic Religious Education studies, despite its potential to enhance the quality of learning, particularly in aspects such as literacy and storytelling skills. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the planning, implementation, and implications of using interactive storytelling to improve the reading literacy skills of seventh-grade students in Islamic Cultural History material at SMP IT Al Bina Masohi. This type of research employs a qualitative approach, utilising data collection techniques that include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of interactive storytelling in the material of Islamic Cultural History at SMP IT Al Bina Masohi has been implemented quite effectively as an effort to improve reading literacy and foster storytelling skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the prevailing issue of global warming, characterized by the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere, leading to climate change. In climate change mitigation efforts, mangrove forests play an important role by effectively storing and absorbing substantial quantities of carbon, subsequently sequestering it in the form of biomass. This study aims to estimate the potential of carbon stocks stored in the area of West Oesapa Mangrove Forest Ecotourism, estimate CO2 uptake, and determine the correlation between NDVI vegetation index and carbon stock/storage. This research was conducted for two months, started from November to December 2023 at the West Oesapa Mangrove Forest Ecotourism. The research stages consisted of pre-image processing, image processing, field survey, and data analysis. The species allometric formula was utilized to calculate mangrove biomass, which was then converted into carbon stock values in mangrove forests. Sentinel-2A images were transformed with Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), then regression analysis was conducted between NDVI and carbon stock values to obtain a carbon stock estimation model using satellite imagery. There are five mangrove species found, namely Sonneratia alba, Avicenia alba, Rhizophora stylosa, Rhizhopora mucronate, and Burguiera. The results indicated that the estimated carbon stock stored in the West Oesapa Mangrove Forest Ecotourism was 3,852.36 tons/ha. Meanwhile, the estimated CO2 uptake in the West Oesapa Mangrove Forest Ecotourism is 14,125.32 tons/ha. The results of the person correlation analysis with a correlation coefficient of 0.608 means that the NDVI variable and carbon stocks are correlated or have a relationship. Abstract

Science learning, particularly botany in elementary school, is often constrained by low mastery of concepts due to plant blindness. This research aims to develop, test its feasibility, and measure the effectiveness of the Rambuku E-Module (Maluku’s Cultural Diversity), based on local wisdom, to overcome these obstacles. This research and development (RD) study applied the ADDIE framework and integrates a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The research participants comprised 3 expert validators, 2 science teachers, and 30 Grade IV students from Private Islamic Elementary School (MIS) Al-Madinah Ambon, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection used a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–4) to assess eligibility parameters and 20 multiple-choice objective test items to measure students' cognitive learning outcomes (C1–C4). The expert board's assessment recorded a very high validity score of 98% (Very Valid). The practicality parameter was also deemed very practical, with positive responses from teachers (92%) and students (92.42%). Inferential analysis using paired t-tests confirmed a highly significant increase in learning outcomes, with a group-average N-gain score of 0.77 (High). The integration of local content on cloves and nutmeg has proven effective as a cognitive bridge for contextualizing science material. The Rambuku E-Module has been validated as feasible and effective in improving children's understanding of science. This study recommends applying this model of digital culture-responsive development on a broader regional scale. Keywords: ADDIE, concept mastery, e-module, Maluku local wisdom, plant blindness.
