Abstract

ABSTRACTMenstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) is painful during menstrual periods or during menstruation to make the woman is not working and must sleep. Pain along with nausea, headache, feeling fainted, irritability. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of warm compresses of ginger stew to decrease menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). This research uses Quasy Experiment design pretest-posttest design using Purposive Sampling technique. The subjects in this study were female students in Sulaiman-Bilqis Darul 'Ulum dormitory as many as 38 respondents who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data retrieval was obtained using observation. Data were analyzed using Paired Sample T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test with significance level ?0.05. The results showed the pain intensity before treatment in both groups was comparable p> 0.05. The intensity of menstrual pain decreased significantly after the treatment of 6.42-3.21 in the warm ginger stew compress group, and from 6.84 to 5.63 in the warm compress group (p <0.05). Intensity of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) after treatment there was no significant difference between warm ginger stir compress group and warm compress (3.21 ± 2.070 vs. 5.63 ± 2.314). Group of warm ginger stew compresses decreased the level of pain higher than the control group with warm compress only. From result of paired t-test in treatment group obtained result of P-value = 0,000. Warm compresses of ginger stew and warm compresses decrease menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), so it can be used as an alternative or nonfakmakologi way in reducing the intensity of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). Abstract

Abstract Infant massage is the oldest and most popular touch therapy known to man. Role in ruralcommunities is still held by the midwife. Lack of knowledge of mothers on infant massagetechniques, could result in the mother can not properly massage their infants would likely occur a result of unwanted things that could be fatal for infants.The purpose of this study was determine maternal knowledge about massage techniques on infants aged 0-12 months.The methodused is descriptive survey approach. Samples taken in this study were mothers who had infantaged 0-12 months in the Village District Bulurejo Diwek Jombang District, in a way probabililisampling with cluster sampling technique, number of population is 116 by the number of samplused 89 respondents who carried out the month June 2012. The instrument used was questionnaire. From the results showed 42.7% knowledgeable enough about the massatechniques on infants aged 0-12 months, 34.8% and 22.5% knowledgeable both lesknowledgeable. It is expected that the mothers further enhance knowledge of massage techniqueon infants aged 0-12 months with more consultation with local health workers, following tcounseling's and find information in various media such as books, internet, television, radio, andso forth, so the mother can increase knowledge.  Key words: Knowledge Capital, Technical Massaging the Baby Ages 0-12 Months

Abstract

Abstract                Inguinal hernia is a condition in which intra-abdominal fat protrudes through the weak part of the lower abdominal muscles. Caused by congenital, obesity, pregnancy, straining, chronic coughing and clients who work as physical workers, strenuous physical activity results in a continuous increase in pressure on the intra-abdominal muscles, thus triggering the protrusion of organs through the walls of weak organs. This study aims to conduct a study of Nursing Care literature on Inguinal Hernia clients. This research method the study of literature in the scientific papers of diploma nursing study program at the Faculty of Health Science, Unipdu Jombang in 2016-2018 which includes assessment analysis, diagnosis determination, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in several research units. The results of the literature study found that pain priority problems with different scales, in post-operative clients, there were pain and risk of infection problems, after the nursing action was carried out for 3x24 hours of pain and the risk of infection experienced by clients decreased. There are differences regarding the etiology of 4 clients. As such, efforts are made to prevent inguinal hernias from reducing the activity of lifting heavy loads, maintaining ideal body weight, eating foods high in fiber to prevent constipation.       Keywords : Nursing care, hernia,intra-abdominal muscles.
