Abstract

The current energy needs are increasing due to technological advances and the increasing number of technology users. So, to solve this problem, it is necessary to make major changes and energy renewal by using alternative energy. One of the utilization of alternative energy is energy storage devices such as supercapacitors. In this study, a test was carried out on the activation of coconut stem waste as a supercapacitor electrode with variations in KOH electrolyte, namely 6M, 7M, 8M which produced voltages of 1.254 V, 1.187 V, 1.105 V and produced currents of 87.2 mA, 46.52 mA, 25.38 mA respectively. Based on the results of the study, it showed a decrease in the concentration of electrolytes 6M, 7M, 8M. So it can be concluded that different electrolytes have a significant effect on the voltage and electric current values ​​produced by the supercapacitor electrodes.

Abstract

In recent years, attention to renewable energy has increased, especially in electrical energy. One of the emerging technologies in supporting electrical energy storage is supercapacitors. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of KOH solution on the current and voltage characteristics produced by supercapacitor electrodes made from activated carbon from kepok banana peel waste (Musa Paradisiaca L). By using dehydration method 80°C, carbonization at 400°C, chemical activation with 5M, 6M, and 7M KOH solution, and physical activation at 750°C. The results showed that the concentration of KOH activator from 5M, 6M, to 7M increased the electric voltage to 0.641 V, 1.078 V, and 1.448 V and electric current to 10.3 mA, 11.6 mA, and 28.5 mA, respectively. However, the density and conductivity values showed different patterns, with density values of 1.2446 A/

Abstract

The energy crisis is one of the major challenges facing the world today, triggered by over-reliance on fossil energy sources, rapid population growth, and the threat of climate change. One technology that attracts attention is supercapacitors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of carbon activation using KOH with varying concentrations on electrical conductivity as a supercapacitor electrode. By using dehydration method, carbonization at 500℃. The chemical activation process is treated with variations in KOH concentration of 6M, 7M, 8M with physical activation in a furnace at 750℃. The test results of conductivity and density values show that the comparison with the increase in KOH concentration results in an increase in conductivity of 0.1012 S/m, 0.1694 S/m, and 0.3282 S/m. Abstract

North Sulawesi has considerable geothermal potential as evidenced by the emergence of several types of geothermal manifestations, one of which is located in Kanonang village, precisely on the hill of Kasih Kanonang. The purpose of this research is to determine the rock structure and type of rock contained in the rock in the manifestation area located on the hill of love kanonang. The method to be used in this research is to analyze in the laboratory using SEM-EDX tools and FTIR tools. The results showed that the mineral content and mineral types of geothermal manifestations of hot springs in kanonang love hill have 3 elements namely Oxygen, Silica, and Aluminum with a percentage content of O 66.60%, Si 31.25%, and Al 0.73%.

Abstract

This article aims to determine the effect of using the project-based learning model with the peer tutoring method in teaching Archimedes' principle in physics. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tombatu using a quantitative research design with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The use of the project-based learning model with the peer tutoring method enabled students to understand the material taught, based on student learning outcomes, namely the pre-test results showed that the average score of students was 35.83 and increased to 84 in the post-test results. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the project-based learning model with the peer tutoring method has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in physics learning on Archimedes' principle.

Abstract

Project based learning adalah sebuah metode pembelajaran yang menggunakan proyek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model project based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA N 1 Tombatu pada materi tekanan hidrostatis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasy Eksperiment dengan desain non equivalent pretest posttest control group design yaitu penelitian yang dilaksanakan pada dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dalam bentuk soal essay test, penilaian proyek menggunakan rubrik. Pada proses pembelajaran kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan project based learning didapatkan hasil penilaian rubrik kinerja proyek yaitu pada penilaian persiapan alat dan bahan sebanyak 85%, rancangan 90%, Bentuk fisik 90%, Inovasi alat 85%, pengelola dan penyajian data 90%, laporan proyek 75%, dengan nilai rata-rata pada penilaian proyek sebanyak 85,8% , sehingga dalam hal ini masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Kemudian dilakukan analisis statistik berupa analisis uji T (Independent sampel t-test) yang menunjukan hasil belajar siswa dikelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Project Based Learning berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes after participating in learning by using the application of the Scientific Approach to the material of bernouli's law. The method used in the research is the Classroom Action Research method through two cycles, namely the first cycle of two meetings and the second cycle of one meeting. The object of this research is class XI IPA students of SMA Negeri 2 Gemeh, totaling 16 students. The instruments used in this research are tests that are carried out at the end of each meeting and observation sheets. 16 students with the results of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor Learning Assessment at the first meeting the percentage of completeness was 31.5%, and increased at the second meeting to 62.5% while at the third meeting it was 93.75%. This shows that learning by using a scientific approach to the material of bernouli's law can improve student learning outcomes which can be seen in the final results, namely in the post test results of Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III..

Abstract

Supercapacitor electrode material bassed on Pelepah Enceng Gondok Activated Carbon (KAPEG have been developed for increasing the performance of the supercapacitor application. The activated carbon surface structure and its properties strongly depend on the pyrolysis temperature and the type of activation methods. The bamboo carbon has been fabricated using pyrolysis method. The KAPEG was produced using chemical activation with H3PO4 as activation agent with variation of temperature activation 750oc have been carried out. Characterization of the surface structure (functional groups vibration) of bamboo carbon (CB) pyrolysis and the Pelepah enceng Gonddok activated carbon (KAPEG) were carried out using FTIR. The aim of this research is  to identify the functional groups vibration. he FTIR rssults shows absorption peeaks of functional groups of -OH, C=O, C-O, C-H and C-C vibration. The increasing of wavenumber of absorption peaks of functional groups -OH stretching, C=O stretching and C-H indicate that the functional groups bond for KAPEG samples becomes more stronger than for KPEG sample. The conclusion of this research are: the increasing of wavenumber of absorption peaks for functional groups indicates of more stronger of functional groups bond.
