Abstract

Surakarta City is designated as National Activity Center (PKN) on the National Spatial Plan (RTRWN) in the development of the creative economy sector. The determination is reinforced by Bekraf Developer Day 2017 and the Economic Census of the Central Bureau of Statistics which shows that Surakarta has more than 1250 creative workers. 65.75% of them have no place to work, so they do their work at home and or cafe. Problems that arise are how to design facilities and comfortable workspace so that the creative workers can make presentations and discussions with colleagues without being disturbed by the noise of other cafe visitors, or by family activities at home. In order to connect between start-up and creative workers, and to create a comfortable workspace to improve productivity and creativity of its users, is required collaborative working space (office) for creative industry workers and start-up in Surakarta City. The design of collaborative working space is done by collecting primary and secondary data through interviews, observation, precedent study, book literature study, local regulations, articles, and news. The data sets are then analyzed and synthesized to produce the concept of the space character criteria and the concept of the shape and appearance of the space which is then transformed into a collaborative working space design that supports the productivity and creativity of its users in Surakarta.

Abstract

Nowadays cellular telecommunications has become one in our everyday activity. Cellular telecommunications is a method of communication over long distances using electromagnetic media that is divided into sections called cells. Issues underlying planning and design of the Cellular Telecommunications Museum in Surakarta, including the excessive use of cellular devices in Indonesia; high levels of cellular devices disposal that are not used but still feasible to use; indifference of society towards the use of cellular devices; the necessity for a place that act as information media for society and to take care the cellular devices; and the potentials of Surakarta as the museum site as seen from its history, economics, and social to cellular telecommunications. Design problem that arise from the existing issue is how to plan the museum as a place to storage, preservation, exhibitions, and educational for the cellular telecommunications technology in Surakarta. The objective of this design is to get the museum design as a place to storage, preservation, exhibitions, and educational for the cellular telecommunications technology in Surakarta. The result obtained is a museum design as a place to storage, preservation, exhibitions, and educational for the cellular telecommunications technology that can contribute on the use and maintenance of old mobile devices that are still feasible to use to the public through the focus of attracting public attention to visit the museum by the use of design aesthetic and arrangement of museum rooms which displays the features of cellular technology as a matter of museum collections, and also providing a place to supporting activities related to cellular technology. Keyword: Cellular Device, Cellular Telecommunications. Abstract

Designing a Contemporary Art Gallery is considered by the rapid development of the art world, and contemporary art is part of the development which has great potential and practice in Surakarta, but the lack of  facilities such as a gallery to display contemporary art. The  purpose to be achieved is to design a gallery which is able to accommodate contemporary art and its development, to increase the appreciation of contemporary art, the quality of the artists, and the produced works of art. The method to be used is a method of architectural design. The main issues to be solved are: to choose and design the site as required location, the land use of Surakarta, and to be able to support the activities of contemporary art; to design spaces with the display systems which can answer the need of various contemporary art such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, video art, installation art, and environmental art. The result to be obtained is an art gallery which be able to display contemporary art in various forms and presentation, with the design of the building which is also contemporary, so that it can represents the works of contemporary art itself. Keywords: Gallery, Art, Contemporary, Display Rooms, Display, Surakarta

Abstract

Sea turtle is classified into endangered animal. One of the areas which is designated as sea turtle conservation area in Indonesia is located at Trisik Beach, Kulonprogo. The government’s sea turtle conservation effort is supported by the Penyu Abadi Conservation Group, that has been carrying out sea turtle conservation activities since 2004. By the development of this conservation activities, in 2018, Dinas Pariwisata Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta finally planned a development program for the attractiveness of sea turtle conservation areas on the southern coast of Yogyakarta, including Trisik Beach. One form of developing the attraction of conservation areas is sea turtle educational tourism object. The development of a sea turtle conservation area into a tourist attraction for sea turtle education should not disturb the balance of the natural ecosystem of Trisik Beach sea turtle nesting.  Therefore, the problem formulated in this research is what aspects must be fulfilled to realize the recreational sea turtle educational tourism, by paying attention to its main function as a supporter of regional marine conservation activities. The problem solving is done by applying the applied research methods, namely the type of research that aims to provide practical solutions for the problem. This research produced some guidelines that can be implemented in the development of Trisik Beach sea turtle conservation area, to be the basis for future development planning.

Abstract

The research examines the augmentation of biogas generation through the co-digestion of Indigofera tinctoria waste and cow manure, emphasising the optimization of parameters for enhanced efficiency. Anaerobic digestion presents potential for sustainable waste management and renewable energy generation. The initial discussion underscores the significance of Indigofera tinctoria, alongside challenges in managing agricultural and organic waste. The methodology encompasses substrate preparation, reactor design, and biogas utilization for electricity generation. Results indicate that substrate feeding rates and pH levels significantly influence biogas production, with optimal efficiency observed when pH is maintained between 6 and 7. Feeding rates are identified as a critical factor, highlighting the necessity for precise optimization. Additionally, managing hydrogen sulfide content is vital to mitigate corrosion risks, which can be addressed through adjustments to substrate composition. An interaction analysis between substrate feeding rates and pH revealed no significant combined effects, emphasizing the importance of understanding individual parameter dynamics to maximize production efficiency. Optimal load conditions were identified, with diminishing returns observed beyond a specific threshold. This study provides valuable insights into improving biogas production efficiency from Indigofera tinctoria waste and cow manure. Key recommendations include the optimization of substrate composition and stringent pH regulation to promote sustainable biogas production practices. Future research is encouraged to further refine biogas technology and advance its application in renewable energy systems.
