Abstract

The purpose of this research is to implement the STEAM learning model to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students. The method used is classroom action research with research procedures including implementation, among others, preparing action plans, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The results obtained in cycle 1 of the student's average score were only 58.5 with an incomplete scale and the need for improvement/reflection. After the action in cycle 1, cycle 2 found a significant increase in learning completeness, namely reaching 85.75. So it can be concluded that the STEAM learning model can be implemented in class IV in mathematics.

Abstract

This study discusses the independent curriculum which has begun to be implemented in elementary schools, but there are still several schools that have difficulty implementing P5 activities. The purpose of this study was to identify the Project for Strengthening “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” (P5) implemented in elementary schools for reading literacy in other schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, FGDs, and documentation. The object of this research was carried out at SDN Merjosari 4 Malang City in May. The results of this study are that through P5 activities students get provision for character education in accordance with the 6 P5 Dimensions, namely Faith, Fear of God Almighty, Global Diversity, Mutual Cooperation, Critical Reasoning, Independent, Creative.

Abstract

The ability to read and count is needed by the next generation. Unfortunately, the importance of numeracy literacy to be implemented in schools has yet to be optimized by some schools. One of them is SDN Merjosari 4 Malang. There are not many activities that can be done to increase numeracy literacy in the school. After discussions with the headmaster, it was agreed that several activities would be carried out at school, namely (1) Forum Group Discussion (FGD) with teachers at SDN Merjosari 4 to strengthen Numerical Literacy, and (2) Carry out activities that could optimize Numerical Literacy at SDN Merjosari 4 Malang. The focus of Numeracy Literacy strengthening activities is given to grades 2, 3, and 4. The series of activities planned to be carried out in community service have all been carried out properly. Students feel interested and happy with the activities that have been carried out and hope that activities like this will be carried out in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this research and development is to produce character values and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based thematic module by using the research model of Borg & Gall, which is consisted of study preliminary, planning, development of the initial draft of product, validation test of expert, revision of validation test result, individual test, limited improvements trial results, extensive test, and refinement of the final product. The validation result of product validity is “very valid” with percentages of 90.3%. The analysis results of product implementation are 91%, which was categorized “implemented well”. The analysis results of practicality showed percentages 90%, the criteria very useful without any correction/revision. The effectiveness results showed percentages of 94% with very effective criteria. While the product attractiveness showed percentages of 97% with very attractive criteria that could be used without correction/revision.
