Abstract

Cekaman panas menyebabkan peningkatan radikal bebas. Radikal bebas mampu mengoksidasi PUFA sehingga kadar MDA bertambah serta menyebabkan pemanfatan sumber energy yaitu kreatin fosfat, untuk mendukung kontraksi otot-otot jantung dan otot terkait respirasi dalam mengevaporasikan panas tubuh itik. Kondisi ini berdampak negatif bagi ternak itik. Untuk itu telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui efek pemberian minyak atsiri untuk menanggulangi sintesis MDA dan kreatinin pada itik. Empat puluh empat ekor itik cihateup berjenis kelamin betina, berumur 25 bulan telah digunakan, dibagi dua kelompok, masing-masing 22 ekor tidak diberi minyak atsiri dan 22 ekor lainnya diberi minyak atsiri 0.5 mL/kg BB per 2 hari. Itik dipelihara selama 2 bulan. Pemberian pakan diatur  215 g/ekor perhari selama penelitian.  Isolasi minyak atsiri dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penguapan distilasi. Sampel darah dari tiap-tiap ternak dikoleksi pada akhir penelitian, menggunakan tabung venojette ber-EDTA 5 mL. Sampel segera dicentrifuge untuk untuk memperoleh plasma dan hemolisat sel-sel darahnya. Plasma digunakan untuk menganalisis kadar kreatinnya, menggunakan teknik spektrofotometrik mengikuti prosedur kit BIOLABO, France. Hemolisat digunakan untuk menganalisis kadar MDA sampel, dengan teknik spektrofotometrik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa minyak atsiri mampu menghambat sintesis malondialdehyde (MDA) dan kreatinin itik cihateup yang mengalami cekaman panas.

Abstract

Sixty-four of female quails, twenty-two weeks old, were used in the current study to evaluate the potential of volatile oil from garlic extract in improving the histological liver of the quails. Volatile oil isolated from garlic by using destilated technique. This study was designed according to completely randomized design, consisted of four treatment groups and six replications. Each treatment group consisted of 16 quails, with supplemental volatile oil (VO) by orally, as follow L0=without of VO; L1= VO of 75 mL; L2= VO of 100 mL and L3= VO of 125 mL. Liver tissue samples were collected using a fixative solution and the liver samples were used to determine the liver histological parameters (necrosis, apoptosis, fat degeneration, hydropic degeneration, acute inflammation, hemorrhagic) by a Mallory-asan technique dan binocular microscope. The current study showed that overall results indicated a significant treatment effect (P<0,05) for the liver histological condition. In conclusion, VO resulted in supplemented levels that significantly raised protein and lipid anabolic and induced hormone signal related growth liver tissue

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak pegagan terhadap kadar glukosa dan trigliserida ayam ras petelur fase layer. Penelitian dilakukan selama satu bulan, dimulai bulan Desember 2019 hingga Januari 2020 yang bertempat di kandang ayam ras petelur, Desa Sukarapih, Kecamatan Sukasari, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat. Terdapat 4 kelompok percobaan, ransum tanpa ekstrak pegagan, ransum dengan 0,04% ekstrak pegagan, ransum dengan 0,08% ekstrak pegagan dan ransum dengan 0,12% ekstrak pegagan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental menggunakan uji ortogonal polinomial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak pegagan berbeda nyata (p<0,05) pada kadar glukosa dan trigliserida ayam yang dipuasakan, sedangkan untuk kadar trigliserida 1 jam setelah makan memberikan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata (p>0,05).

Abstract

Lima puluh ekor ayam ras peterlur fase layer telah digunakan dalam penelitian ini, selama tiga bulan, bertempat di salah satu peternakan ayam ras petelur, Desa Sukarapih, Kecamatan Sukasari, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat. Analisis darah dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Biokimia Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Kitosan Iradiasi terhadap profil enzim transaminase pada ayam ras petelur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan uji ortogonal polinomial. Terdapat lima jenis perlakuan, P0 = ayam petelur yang tanpa diberi Kitosan, P1= ayam petelur yang diberi Kitosan 150 ppm, P2 = ayam petelur yang diberi Kitosan 200 ppm, P3 = ayam petelur yang diberi Kitosan 250 ppm, dan P4 = ayam petelur yang diberi Kitosan 300 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Kitosan iradiasi berbeda nyata (p<0,05) pada jumlah SGOT dan SGPT.

Abstract

Research on cholesterol and triglyceride levels in blood of laying hens adminestered chitosan irradiated was carried out in August to September at the laying chicken farm in Sukarapih Village, Sukasari District, Sumedang Regency, West Java. Blood sample was analyzed at the Laboratory of Animal Physiology and Biochemistry of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency, West Java. This research was conducted to determine the effect of chitosan irradiation on cholesterol levels and triglyceride levels blood plasma of layer chicken. The research used an experimental method with orthogonal polynomial test. There were 50 laying hens phase layer as research object, five types of treatment, P0 = laying hens without Chitosan, P1 = laying hens with granting Chitosan 150 ppm, P2 = laying hens with granting Chitosan 200 ppm, P3 = laying hens with granting Chitosan 250 ppm, and P4 = laying hens with granting Chitosan 300 ppm. . Based on the statistic analysis result showed that administration of chitosan was significantly different (p <0.05) for cholesterol and triglyceride levels and 250 ppm was the most optimal way to reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels.Keywords:       Laying hen, chitosan irradiation, cholesterol, triglyceride

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dialil n-Sulfida organic sangat berpotensial sebagai imbuhan pakan dalam mencegah lipogenic pada unggas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi dialil n-sulfida dalam menghambat biosinsisi lipid pada itik cihateup. Dua ratus itik cihateup berumur 12 minggu telah digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel itik cihateup dibagi ke dalam 4 kelompok perlakuan, masing-masing D0, tanpa Dialil n-Sulfida (Dn-S); D1, 50 µL/sampel; D2, 100 µL/sampel dan D3, 150 µL/sampel. Pemberian dilakukan dengan cara oral selama dua bulan percobaan. Dn-S diisolasi dengan teknik distilasi bertingkat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian dialil n-sulfida organik 150 µL/ekor/hari efektif menurunkan dan memperbaiki kondisi lipid plasma dan hati. Disimpulkan bahwa bahwa Dialil n-Sulfida (Dn-S), mampu menurunkan aktivitas lipogenesis dengan ditandai menurunnnya lipid plasma darah dan hati (khususnya TAG), serta meningkatnya kadar NEFA yang beredar dalam sistem sirkulasi. Dn-S juga mampu meningkatkan aktivitas transport lipid yaitu HDL, sehingga menurunkan kolesterol dalam system sirkulasi tapi meningkatkan depositnya di dalam jaringan hati.Kata kunci: Dialil n-Sulfida, itik, lipidOrganic Dialil n-Sulfide Decrease Lipid in Blood Plasm and Liver of Cihateup Grower DuckABSTRACT Organic diallyl n-sulfide is very potential as a feed additive in preventing lipogenic in poultry. This study aims to examine the potential of diallyl n-sulfide in inhibiting lipid biosynthesis in cihateup ducks. Two hundred cihateup ducks aged 12 weeks were used in this study. Cihateup duck samples were divided into four treatment groups, each D0, without diallyl n-sulfide (Dn-S); D1, 50 µL / sample; D2, 100 µL sample and D3, 150 µL/sample, administered orally for two months of the study. Dn-S was isolated by the stratified distillation technique. Based on the results of the study showed that the administration of organic diallyl n-sulfide 150 µL/sample/ day was effective in reducing and improving the condition of plasma and liver lipids.  It was concluded that diallyl n-sulfide (Dn-S) was able to reduce lipogenesis activity indicated by decreasing blood plasma and liver lipids (especially TAG), as well as increasing levels of NEFA circulating in the circulatory system. Dn-S is also able to increase lipid transport activity, namely HDL, thereby reducing cholesterol in the circulatory system but increasing its deposit in the liver tissue.Keywords: Diallyl n-Sulfide, duck, lipid

Abstract

Penelitian ini telah dilakukan selama sebulan dengan menggunakan delapan puluh ekor itik Cihateup berumur tiga bulan berjenis kelamin betina telah digunakan untuk mengkaji dampak penggunaan minyak atsiri terhadap kondisi histologik illeum. Pemisahan minyak atsiri dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik destilasi. Setiap kelompok percobaan terdiri dari 20 ekor itik, masing-masing diberi perlakuan L0=tanpa minyak atsiri; L1= Pemberian minyak atsiri 150 mL/ekor; L2 = Pemberian minyak atsiri 175 mL/ekor; L3= Pemberian minyak atsiri 175 mL/ekor. Pengambilan sampel jaringan dilakukan pada akhir penelitian dengan menggunakan laturan fiksatif dan pembuatan preparat jaringan dilakukan dengan teknik Mallory-Asan dan dianalisis menggunakan mikroskop binokuler. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minyak atsiri mempengaruhi (P<0,05) morfometrik illeum (villi, plak peyeri dan sel goblet) dan semakin meningkat dengan meningkatnya pertambahan level minyak atsiri. Disimpulkan bahwa minyak atsiri mampu menstimulan anabolisme protein dan lipid, juga signal hormonal terkait dengan pertumbuhan jaringan illeum.

Abstract

Twenty dairy cow (Fries Holland) of 3-4thlactation were used in this study to investigate metabolism rate and activities of creatin kinase (CK) in fluctuation of housing microclimate. Wet and dry ball thermometer placed in housing and around housing to record the fluctuation of temperature, relative humidity and temperature humidity index (THI). Blood sample were collected from vena jugularis weekly during five months. Whole blood centrifuged to earn plasma and all of sample was analyzing by spectophometric method, based on Biolabo Kit, France. Data was analyzed by F-test of regretion correlation, using SPSS IBM 21 Software. Based on the results in this study showed that fluctuation blood parameter following microclimate profile (P<0,05). The plasma metabolite profile and activities of CK increased in heat-stressed animal samples. As conclusion, the alteration in the profile of blood plasma metabolites were a results of the gluconeogenesis pathway activities, also increasing anaerob. In the same way, also showed in creatinine and creatine kinase levels.

Abstract

Altitude contributes and plays an important role in the development dairy cows in Indonesia. Altitude is directly related to temperature and humidity, both of which affect cardiovascular function and energy metabolism in dairy cattle. The 120 samples, consisted of 4th-5th lactation Friesian Holstein dairy cows were used in this study. The 40 samples of cattle each spread in three maintenance sites with different altitudes, namely 300 to 500 m above sea level (a.s.l.); 600-900 m a.s.l. and >1,000 m a.s.l. All the study sites located in West Java, Indonesia, to study the effect of altitude on the cardiovascular biomarker and lipid regulation in the dairy cow. Based on the result in this experiment showed that the CRP high sensitivity, H-FABP, homocysteine, and γ-Glutamyl Transpeptidase in Frisian Holstein dairy cows expressed higher levels (P <0.05) at low altitude site (300-500 m a.s.l.) than dairy cows at altitude sites higher (600-900 and >1,000 m a.s.l.), These results indicated, these compounds can be biomarkers for cardiovascular function. This study also showed, the lipid regulation also showed higher levels (P <0.05) at low altitude sites than altitude sites higher.
