Abstract

This research explores the significant role of work culture, work environment, and social capital in shaping teacher resilience within Islamic educational institutions in Malang, Indonesia. Teachers in these settings face the dual challenge of academic responsibility and the need to instill Islamic values, making resilience a crucial factor for their professional success. The study employs a quantitative approach, using a structured survey to gather data from 70 teachers across various Islamic schools in Malang. Data analysis was performed using ordinal logistic regression (OLR). The analysis reveals that a positive work culture, which integrates Islamic ethical principles, plays a critical role in enhancing teacher resilience. Additionally, a supportive work environment, both physically and socially, is essential for mitigating stress and fostering well-being. In contrast, social capital, while valuable, does not show a statistically significant impact on teacher resilience in this study. These findings underline the importance of nurturing supportive work environments and promoting Islamic values to bolster teacher resilience, ultimately contributing to improved educational outcomes in Islamic schools.

Abstract

Teaching Islamic values education is considered by Muslim educators as the solution to moral crisis encountered by contemporary Muslim society including the Bangsamoro in the conflict-affected area of Mindanao, Philippines.  The purpose of the present paper is to re-examine the Bangsamoro Development Agency's (BDA) methods of teaching Islamic values education among its Muslim stakeholders in Mindanao. Through the use of the qualitative method of study, like content analysis of data gathered through library research and participant observation, the researcher found out that the BDA-tasked to determine, lead and manage development projects in conflict-affected areas of Mindanao-had successfully integrated Islamic values by applying the traditional Islamic method of education such as ta'lim, tarbiyyah, and ta'dib but through the language of modern education theory, adapted to the kind of situation they are in. Instead of using Islamic terminologies as such, the BDA used such term as experiential-learning method (lecturette, workshop, reflection and demonstration, and follow-through scheme). With this, the BDA had able to play its assigned role with the acceptance of its different stakeholders including government and non-government organizations. The present Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), which is established as a product of the MILF’s struggle, may also consider BDA’s experience to institutionalize its moral governance initiative to address the perceived corruption, manipulation, and ill-governance in this government.   Keywords: Bangsamoro Development Agency, teaching methods, Islamic values, Values education, Mindanao (Philippines)

Abstract

This study investigates the awareness, adoption, and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies among lecturers in Kaduna State, Nigeria. It addresses three primary research questions: the extent of lecturers' awareness of AI-powered educational tools, the types of AI technologies currently adopted, and the impact of these technologies on academic activities. Utilizing a descriptive survey design, data were collected from a sample of 420 academic staff across four tertiary institutions using a validated instrument based on a modified Likert scale. The study employs one-sample t-tests to evaluate three hypotheses about awareness, adoption, and impact. Findings reveal that lecturers possess moderate awareness of AI applications and are highly familiar with plagiarism detection and content creation tools but need more understanding of intelligent tutoring systems and adaptive learning platforms. Adoption is selective; AI-powered research assistants and content creation tools are widely used, while technologies like Natural Language Processing (NLP) are less common. The study identifies a positive impact of AI on academic activities, enhancing collaboration and resource accessibility while raising ethical concerns. Statistical analyses indicate significant differences in awareness levels, adoption rates, and perceived impacts among lecturers. These findings suggest varied engagement with AI tools across educational settings in Kaduna State. The study concludes that while there is a positive perception of AI's educational impact, improvements in training and infrastructure are necessary to leverage these technologies fully. Recommendations include organizing workshops to increase familiarity with underutilized AI tools, integrating AI training into professional development, and establishing guidelines for ethical AI use in education.

Abstract

Currently, religion is one of the most frequently discussed issues. There are many divisions and animosities among Muslims because of different views, both from political views, religious views, and even culture. This condition is found in various cases of radical thought movements and ideas that have grown and developed in this country. Such as a series of cases of violence in the name of religion that often occur in various regions in Indonesia, the destruction of places of worship, the rejection of different groups, and several suicide bombings are cases that have captured the attention of the world public. This study aims to determine Aswaja values in Ma'arif learning, to know the implementation of Ma'arif learning in instilling Aswaja values. This descriptive qualitative article aims to identify the implementation of Ma’arif learning in instilling Aswaja values. The findings of this study include the Aswaja values applied to Ma’arif learning at SD NU Hasanuddin Dilem 02 Malang, including the value of tawassut, i’tidal, tawazun and tasamuh. The implementation of Ma’arif learning as a medium for instilling the value of Aswaja is in the subjects of Fiqh, Al-Quran Hadith, Islamic Civilization and Aqidah Akhlak. The supporting factors are the environment and daily Aswaja activities, while the inhibiting factors are the lack of time allocation and learning that is considered less interesting. From this study, schools can create programs that hone students' knowledge and social skills. Schools can also provide more learning allocations and learning is implemented in a more attractive way for students. Saat ini, agama adalah salah satu isu yang paling sering dibicarakan. Banyak perpecahan dan permusuhan di kalangan umat Islam karena perbedaan pandangan, baik dari pandangan politik, pandangan agama, bahkan budaya. Kondisi ini bisa dijumpai dari berbagai gerakan dan paham radikal yang tumbuh dan berkembang di tanah air ini. Seperti serangkaian kasus kekerasan mengatasnamakan agama sering terjadi di berbagai daerah di Indonesia, perusakan rumah-rumah ibadah, penolakan terhadap kelompok yang berbeda, dan sejumlah tragedi bom bunuh diri merupakan kasus yang menyita perhatian publik dunia. Artikel ini bertujuan mengetahui nilai-nilai Aswaja dalam pembelajaran Ma’arif dan implementasi pembelajaran Ma’arif dalam penanaman nilai-nilai Aswaja. Artikel kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan menjelaskan implementasi pembelajaran Ma’arif dalam penanaman nilai-nilai Aswaja. Temuan artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Aswaja yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Ma’arif di SD NU Hasanuddin Dilem 02 Malang meliputi nilai-nilai tawassut, i’tidal, tawazun dan tasamuh. Implementasi pembelajaran Ma’arif sebagai media untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai Aswaja melalui mata pelajaran Fikih, Al-Quran Hadis, Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam dan Akidah akhlak. Faktor-faktor pendukungnya adalah lingkungan sekitar dan kegiatan Aswaja harian, sedangkan faktor-faktor penghambatnya adalah kurangnya alokasi waktu dan pembelajaran yang dirasa kurang menarik. Implikasi artikel ini, sekolah dapat menyusun program-program yang dapat mengasah pengetahuan dan keterampilan sosial peserta didik. Serta menyediakan waktu pembelajaran yang memadai dan penerapan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik bagi para peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Aswaja, Implementasi Belajar, Pembelajaran Ma’arif, Nilai-Nilai Aswaja.

Abstract

Implementing society empowerment models is crucial for addressing micro-level problems where government services often fall short. Despite evidence that social capital significantly contributes to development and poverty reduction, there remains a gap in understanding specific strategies and outcomes of social capital-based empowerment initiatives. This study aims to fill this gap by investigating the unique learning concept of Pesantren Rakyat Sumberpucung (PRS), which emphasizes low- cost, independent, flexible, and mutual assistance principles. Utilizing framework which includes structural opportunity to meet, know-how of social interaction, sense of belonging, and ethos of mutuality, this study employed qualitative research design. Data were gathered through participant observation, semi-structured interviews with village-level stakeholders, in-depth interviews and focus group discussion. The results indicate that the integrative model known as "Pancarukun," which includes initiatives such as Jagong Mathon, Celengan, Ngaji Ngluruk, Lumbung Pesantren Rakyat, and Fatehahan, effectively strengthens socio-cultural-religious networks, fostering harmony and cooperation between PRS and the community. These strategies have successfully promoted a spirit of togetherness and consistent collaboration. In conclusion, PRS’s approach demonstrates the potential of integrative community-based strategies to address diverse problems across sectors such as economy, agriculture, education, and culture. By leveraging social capital, PRS has created a sustainable model of community empowerment that can serve as a blueprint for similar initiatives.

Abstract

Artikel ini memaparkan implementasi Triple T Core Values ​​Mbah Hasyim ke dalam Organisasi Nadhatul Ulama (NU) dan Lembaga Pendidikannya, Penelitian ini membahas tentang pentingnya peran Core Values ​​Mbah Hasyim ke dalam Organisasi NU. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi positif dari Nilai-Nilai Inti Mbah Hasyim dalam pendidikan perdamaian dunia melalui lembaga-lembaganya. Nilai-nilai inti mbah Hasyim saat ini relevan untuk diangkat ketika UNESCO mencanangkan pendidikan perdamaian dunia. Nilai-nilai tersebut dilihat dalam konteks perspektif umat Islam Indonesia. Mbah Hasyim sebagai pendiri Nahdhatul Ulama (NU) memiliki jiwa damai karena ia menemukan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dan nilai-nilai yang diturunkan dari ajaran Islam dan dirumuskan menjadi nilai-nilai triple core. NU sebagai organisasi keagamaan yang berlandaskan konsep Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah, memiliki prinsip 3 Ts: Tawassut (Moderat), Tawazun, Tasamuh, plus amar ma'ruf dan nahi munkar; yang selalu menjadi landasan politik kebangsaan NU dalam perpolitikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi nilai-nilai inti mbah Hasyim serta melihat implementasi nilai-nilai tersebut ke dalam Organisasi NU. Tujuan peneliti adalah untuk mendapatkan konsep yang jelas dan tepat sebelum melanjutkan penelitian lapangan yang akan menjadi langkah penelitian selanjutnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang pertama-tama memanfaatkan studi kepustakaan dalam pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian akan membuktikan nilai-nilai inti Mbah Hasyim berkontribusi banyak terhadap toleransi beragama, perdamaian dan hidup bersama dalam satu visi dan identitas sebagai kebangsaan Indonesia. Pancasila sebagai landasan filosofis merupakan jalan tengah untuk mencegah Indonesia dari benturan agama dan negara dan terbukti efektif dalam menjembatani perbedaan suku, agama, ras, budaya dan bahasa sehingga seluruh elemen bangsa Indonesia mampu hidup bersama (common platform) dalam kerangka Bhinneka Tunggal Ika sebagai semboyan dan semboyan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya semangat belajar Al-Quran siswa sekolah dasar yang mulai banyak terjadi saat ini, padahal pada usia ini mereka memasuki masa peka dalam belajar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu inovasi dalam metode pengajaran Al-Quran agar mudah dan menyenangkan siswa. Sekolah Dasar Anak Sholeh Full Day merupakan satu-satunya lembaga formal di kecamatan Sumbermanjing Wetan yang menerapkan metode tutor sebaya dalam pembelajaran Al-Quran sebagai bentuk usaha dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar Al-Quran pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tentang metode tutor sebaya, implementasi metode tutor sebaya, kendala dan hambatan implementasi metoder tutor sebaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Al-Quran. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode tutor sebaya dalam pembelajaran Al-Quran di Sekolah Dasar Anak Sholeh Full Day ini berjalan cukup baik terbukti dengan para guru sebagai pengawas atau pengontrol telah menerapkan prosedur memilih tutor, mempersiapkan tutor, mengevaluasi dan melaksanakan tindak lanjut. Peneliti juga menemukan adanya motif semangat berprestasi, berafiliasi, dan memperkuat diri untuk bermanfaat bagi temannya. Kesimpulannya, metode tutor sebaya ini selain mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar Al-Quran dan menumbuhkan karakter positif siswa juga bermanfaat bagi guru dalam menciptakan suasana pembelajaran Al-Quran yang lebih akrab dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

The article aims to: 1) identify the implementation of online learning at MTs Negeri 1 Malang City during the Covid-19 pandemic, 2) identify the impacts that occur in online learning on teachers, students, and parents at MTs Negeri 1 Malang City during the Covid-19 pandemic, and 3) identify the reasons these impacts can occur in online learning on teachers, students, and parents at MTs Negeri 1 Malang City during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a qualitative research with a case study method approach. Respondents in this study were teachers, students, class VIII MTs Negeri 1 Malang City. Data collection used open-ended questionnaires, interviews, and documents. Data analysis in this study used qualitative descriptive analysis with the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study found that, 1) the implementation of online learning at MTs Negeri 1 Malang City during the Covid-19 pandemic has been implemented. 2) the implementation of online learning, each class makes a WA group, teachers, 3) the positive impact in online learning is getting new experiences from online learning, increased ability to technology, and more flexible time, 4) While the negative impacts related to the obstacles experienced include, among others, additional internet quota costs, internet network disruptions, limited mastery of technology, the completeness of the subject matter does not match the curriculum achievements.

Abstract

The research in this thesis is motivated by the uniqueness in which teachers at SMK Khairuddin Gondanglegi carry out their roles well. Teachers are able to use technology in learning. The infrastructure of SMK Khairuddin Gondanglegi is met the needs of students and teachers. This school is a vocational school that requires more infrastructure to support learning. The school has fulfilled with a laboratory for each department in the school. School efforts in realizing the best graduates, the school has its own strategy in creating an effective learning culture. Based on the above context, the objectives of this study are to: (1) describe the strategy of Khairuddin Gondanglegi Vocational High School in creating an effective learning culture for Islamic Religious Education subjects, (2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors of Khairuddin Gondanglegi Vocational High School in creating an effective learning culture for Education subjects Islam. The study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach and the collection procedures used, namely participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the strategy implementation with the right steps by paying attention to the supporting and inhibiting factors can create an effective learning culture in as expected. The supporting and inhibiting factors for creating an effective learning culture involve the individual himself, the school, the family, and the community. In order to create an effective learning culture, it is necessary to have good cooperation between the individual himself, the school, the family, and the community.
