Abstract

The National Examination (UN) policy, which has been implemented in Indonesia for a long time, has a number of weaknesses in terms of educational science. The UN is not "a test fits for all" because it is not multifunctional, not suitable and not a test that fits all. The implementation of the UN at the basic education level such as in Madrasah is not appropriate and is not in line with the concept of the latest learning evaluation. As an educational institution that emphasizes its students on Islamic manners and morals in studying, Madrasah actually does not need to evaluate the learning of its students by using UN questions. Therefore, the researcher tried to examine the implications of the UN policy for Madrasahs by using the literature review method in the perspective of the concept of renewable learning evaluation. The results of the study show that the UN policy is unfair, inappropriate and imposed and does not have an adequate theoretical basis, especially based on the concept of learning evaluation. The UN relies more onpaper & pencil tests even though the written test is only a small part of the evaluation aspect of students. Even more so in assessing primary level students in madrasah educational institutions that are characterized by religion.

Abstract

Learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is an important part of what is mentioned in Law no 20/2003 of the National Education System aims to develop the potential of students to become human beings who are faithful and devoted to God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, skilled, independent, honest, and become democratic and responsible citizens. So that all efforts to realise learning objectives are very interesting to research. One of these efforts is the implementation of the Islamic Spirituality programme at State Elementary School 1 Jenggolo Kepanjen Malang. The research method uses descriptive qualitative which is natural and displayed as it is. The results showed that the existence of Islamic Spirituality is needed because it can form religious character and social care, including; 1) The habituation of prayer and the fulfilment of fardhu, sunnah and religious activities form the character of students who are disciplined on time and hasten obligations; (2) The habituation programme of smiles, greetings and salutations makes students have good social relations between fellow students and teachers; (3) Islamic Spirituality programmes form students to be more tolerant, respect differences and pay attention to the environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memvalidasi efektivitas Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an (BTAQ) siswa Kelas 4 di SDN 2 Plandi. Pembelajaran BTAQ tradisional menghadapi kendala spesifik pada fase Kelas 4, yaitu kesulitan menguasai makharijul huruf dan tajwid dasar yang menuntut visualisasi presisi dan interaksi intensif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi-eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Hasil kuantitatif menunjukkan peningkatan skor post-test yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan IFP (p-value < 0.05), melampaui kelompok kontrol, yang selaras dengan temuan efektivitas media multimedia dalam pembelajaran tajwid . Secara kualitatif, keunggulan teknis IFP—seperti resolusi 4K Ultra HD dan kemampuan multi-touch memungkinkan visualisasi mendetail mengenai anatomi pelafalan yang secara langsung mengoreksi mispronunciation siswa. Selain itu, IFP terbukti meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi melalui kuis interaktif dan memfasilitasi model Flipped Classroom untuk mengatasi keterbatasan waktu belajar di kelas . Dengan demikian, IFP terbukti menjadi intervensi yang inovatif dan efektif, mendukung upaya digitalisasi pendidikan di Jawa Timur dan penguatan literasi Al-Qur'an bagi Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (GPAI) di Kabupaten Malang .

Abstract

transform from conventional assessment methods to digital assessments that are more adaptive, effective, and capable of increasing students’ learning motivation. However, field realities show that many teachers at MTs Nurul Huda Babadan, Ngajum District, Malang Regency, are still accustomed to rigid and less engaging paper-based daily assessments. This study aims to improve teachers’ competence in developing effective and enjoyable daily assessments through the use of web-based applications. The method employed is Participatory Action Research (PAR) in the form of intensive training and mentoring. The training involved 28 subject teachers at MTs Nurul Huda Babadan, Ngajum District, Malang Regency. The activities were divided into three stages: (1) socialization and pre-test on the concepts of formative assessment and gamification; (2) a workshop on developing assessments using a web application (Zep Quiz); and (3) implementation mentoring and post-test. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, product analysis (assessment instruments), and response questionnaires. The results show a significant increase in teachers’ conceptual understanding and technical skills. The average pre-test score was 60.2, which increased sharply to 87.5 in the post-test. Product analysis indicates that 87.5% of teachers successfully designed at least one web-based daily assessment instrument that was content-valid and integrated gamification elements. Teacher responses show that 94% considered the training highly relevant and impactful for their teaching practice. This training successfully transformed teachers’ paradigms from assessors to facilitators of motivating assessment. Abstract

This study aims to enhance teachers’ competence in developing information technology–based learning materials within the Islamic boarding school context. The training and mentoring program was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Sirojul Ulum over a period of one month, involving ten teachers from various subjects. The research employed a participatory approach consisting of training sessions, implementation mentoring, and performance evaluation. During the program, participants received training on the use of digital tools, the development of instructional media using applications such as PowerPoint, Canva, and Google Classroom, as well as the creation of interactive learning videos. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ ability to design and utilize digital learning media independently. Approximately 80% of participants successfully produced functional digital learning products, while all participants demonstrated improved digital literacy, as observed and assessed through interviews. Moreover, continuous mentoring fostered teachers’ motivation and creativity in integrating technology to create more engaging and student-centered learning experiences. In conclusion, the training and mentoring program effectively strengthened teachers’ digital competencies in Islamic boarding schools. Similar initiatives are recommended to be implemented continuously with institutional support and adequate infrastructure to promote inclusive and adaptive digital transformation in Islamic education.   Keywords: Teacher Training, Mentoring, Information Technology, Islamic Boarding School, Learning Media

Abstract

Permasalahan lingkungan, khususnya pengelolaan sampah, masih menjadi tantangan serius di lingkungan sekolah dasar, termasuk Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Rendahnya kesadaran siswa terhadap pemilahan dan pemanfaatan sampah menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan lingkungan di sekolah belum sepenuhnya mampu membentuk perilaku ekologis yang berkelanjutan. Artikel pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi program edukasi peduli lingkungan berbasis daur ulang barang bekas bagi siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah sebagai upaya penguatan karakter dan kesadaran lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan edukatif-partisipatif melalui kegiatan sosialisasi lingkungan, praktik langsung daur ulang barang bekas, dan refleksi nilai. Subjek kegiatan adalah siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah yang dilibatkan secara aktif dalam seluruh tahapan program. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, dokumentasi, dan evaluasi sikap siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep pengelolaan sampah, perubahan sikap peduli lingkungan, serta berkembangnya nilai karakter seperti tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan kepedulian sosial. Program ini juga memperlihatkan bahwa pemanfaatan barang bekas sebagai media edukasi mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang kontekstual, murah, dan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, edukasi peduli lingkungan berbasis daur ulang barang bekas dapat dijadikan sebagai model pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang efektif dan relevan untuk diimplementasikan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

Bullying among children and adolescents is a social and educational issue that seriously impacts their social, emotional, and psychological development. Bullying prevention efforts require a comprehensive approach, involving the family as the primary educational environment, particularly mothers as primary educators. This Community Service activity aims to strengthen the role of mothers in bullying prevention by increasing understanding, awareness, and parenting skills oriented toward character building in children. The implementation method uses a brief educational approach based on interactive dialogue, beginning with the presentation of material on the concept of bullying, its forms and characteristics, and its impact on child development. This is followed by a participatory discussion and question-and-answer session. This activity is also supported by the distribution of printed media in the form of leaflets or pocket books as practical guides and to strengthen motivation to encourage the ongoing implementation of positive parenting. The results of the activity indicate an increase in mothers' understanding and awareness in recognizing bullying behavior, the importance of family communication, and the implementation of warm, responsive, and consistent parenting as a preventative measure. The participants' active participation in the discussion resulted in contextual and applicable parenting solutions and fostered mothers' commitment to acting as agents of bullying prevention within the family and community. Thus, this activity confirms that strengthening the role of mothers as madrasahul ula through a simple and participatory educational approach is an effective and efficient strategy for building a family- and community-based bullying prevention system.
