Abstract

The coastal area of Segeri sub-district, Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency is a zone that is prone to natural phenomena of sea level rise. The impact received due to this phenomenon is something that needs to be studied to identify the level of coastal vulnerability and project changes in coastal vulnerability in the future. This study aims to calculate the coastal vulnerability index and project changes in vulnerability in the future due to changes in factors that affect coastal vulnerability. This research was conducted in August – December 2022 in Segeri District, namely in, Bone, Bawasalo and Bonto Matene Villages. The methods or approaches used in analyzing the data are: 1) analysis of coastal ecosystems and resources, 2) analysis of the physical and social characteristics of the community, 3) analysis of the vulnerability of the coastal environment. The Vulnerability Scoping Diagram (VSD) models places exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity as dimensions of vulnerability. The components of the exposure dimension consist of coastal dynamics, natural disturbances and population. The components of the sensitivity dimension are the characteristics of the coast, land use, and population settlements. The dimensions of adaptability include coastal habitats and marine conservation areas. Based on the scores of each parameter on the three dimensions, the coastal vulnerability index (IKP) in the three locations is in the range of IKP values of 7.96 - 9.59 which is included in the category of moderate vulnerability. Factors that are very influential on the IKP are the dimensions of sensitivity including: erosion, waves and tides caused by oceanographic factors so that if adaptation and mitigation efforts are not carried out, it is likely that in the next 5-10 years, the level of vulnerability can become high and even very high. Adaptation efforts that can be done are strengthening the coastal border area, planting and expanding mangrove trees in the coastal area of Segeri.

Abstract

This study investigates alterations in educators' perspectives at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Batu Town regarding the use of formative and summative evaluations in education following their participation in training. The study employs a research-oriented community service methodology utilizing the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) paradigm to optimize the inherent strengths and resources within the teaching community. Data was collected through pre-tests and post-tests completed by teachers regarding their understanding of the role of assessment in providing feedback, modifying learning plans, and monitoring student progress. The results of this study indicate that training with the ABCD method successfully changed the conceptual understanding of Batu City Elementary School teachers regarding pedagogical assessment (formative and summative) while strengthening the evidence that top-down training is effective in changing educators' perspectives on evaluation.

Abstract

Coconut, particularly coconut water, serves many purposes in people's lives. Coconut water is generally consumed with the young fruit, but old coconut water is frequently discarded into the environment. Therefore, integrating coconut water into a product has a high economic value. The aims of this community service is to process coconut water into nata de coco by empowering the community through training for PKK members. This program's methodology included partner problem analysis and the available problem-solving strategy, which consists of counselling, training, and collecting data. The implementation of this activity resulted in numerous benefits, particularly increased public understanding of the role of coconut water in daily life, such as its nutritional value, processed products such as nata de coco, and other advantages. Based on the data collected, it is known that all participants have differing levels of knowledge about nata de coco products, namely 10% of participants know very well, 30% of participants know, and 12% of participants know little. However, 58% of participants were totally ignorant that coconut water is the starting material in nata de coco. Following the training, all participants understood that coconut water was the raw material in nata de coco. On the other hands, 75% of the participants were very understanding, 20% were quite understanding, and only 5% had a basic understanding of how to make nata de coco. These findings indicate that the solution of the activities carried out is extremely effective in increasing the participants' understanding and interest in making nata de coco, which can encourage the creation of "home industry" based jobs in the community, particularly in Tiroang Village.

Abstract

The study aims to investigate how service quality contributes to passenger loyalty in LCA Indonesia, considering satisfaction and trust. A survey was conducted with 400 respondents who used LCA services for domestic flights at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar between 2021 and May 2022. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed for data analysis. The results indicate that service quality, passenger satisfaction, and trust are crucial in shaping loyalty. Satisfying services have the potential to foster trust, leading to passenger loyalty. Satisfaction and trust act as effective mediators of service quality and passenger loyalty. The findings highlight the importance of delivering high-quality services that meet passenger expectations and generate satisfaction. LCA Indonesia can build trust and establish a loyal customer base by exceeding customer expectations. Service quality is vital for providing positive experiences to passengers. Understanding the mediating roles of satisfaction and trust is also key. LCA Indonesia can enhance passenger loyalty by prioritizing service quality, improving satisfaction levels, and building trust among passengers. Addressing these factors strengthens the airline's competitive position and ensures long-term customer loyalty in a highly competitive market.

Abstract

The Punagaya Steam Power Plant (PLTU) is one of Power Plant in the Southern Sulawesi system. Apart from having a positive impact, PLTU can have a negative impact on the environment due to burning coal as fuel. One of the dangerous air pollutants that is often found is Total Suspended Particulate or TSP. This research aims to determine changes in TSP, PM2.5 and PM10 concentration values at the Punagaya PLTU location from May 2022 and June 2023. The method for measuring concentrations of TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 air particles uses High Volume Air Sampler (HVAS) equipment with gravimetric method. Based on the analysis results of air particles around the Punagaya PLTU, the concentrations of TSP, PM10 and PM2.5 per 24 hours at the location still meet the ambient air quality standards set by the government. TSP in the Boiler Area (U1) is in the blue (medium) category, while other measurement locations for TSP, PM10 and PM2.5 at both times are still in the green (good) ISPU category

Abstract

The Antasari State Islamic University Sharia Faculty encounters several obstacles in teaching Arabic due to the theoretical syntax textbooks that are irrelevant to students' needs. These books contain difficult examples, complex grammatical rules, and elaborate and complicated syntactic parsing (i‘rāb). This study seeks to create functional syntax theory instructional materials. Evaluate the feasibility of these materials. Assess the effectiveness of the materials in the academic performance of the learners. The approach employed is Research and Development (R&D) using a modified Borg & Gall model. Data was collected using observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data was analysed qualitatively using the Miles and Huberman technique, and quantitatively through t-test analysis using SPSS. Based on the findings, the developed grammar materials have considered the simplification of the elements of iʿrāb: mawqiʿ, iʿrāb, ḥukm iʿrāb, and ʿalāmat al-iʿrāb: Table, which enhances understanding; An inductive approach was also employed alongside the theory of syntactic function, which stipulates that 'the endings of the words are modified because of their position and function in the sentence, not because of ʿāmil. The syntax instructional materials developed in this study received excellent evaluations from Arabic language experts and instructional design specialists. Additionally, Arabic syntax experts and students from non-Arabic studies programs in the Faculty of Sharia also provided very positive evaluations. All research participants agreed that the instructional materials are suitable for syntax teaching. The results of the T-test indicate a significant difference between the pre-test scores prior to using the developed syntax instructional materials and the post-test scores after the students had utilized these materials. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than the alpha value of 0.050. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the developed nahwu instructional materials is effective in improving the academic performance of students from Sharia faculty members who are not in Arabic study programs.
