Abstract

Abstract The abundance of bacteria is an activity that aims to determine the distribution and the abundance of bacteria in a water area, so an effort to control and prevent against these bacteria can be made to avoid it's wide spread. The function of this monitoring activities is for an early detection of animal health conditions that is the white leg shrimp due to bacterial attack. Given the importance of health level in the cultivation of white leg shrimp, then the monitoring activity in bacterial abundance should be done because the number of bacteria found in aquatic environments shouldn't exceed the minimum threshold number of bacteria that is 104 CFU/ml. The purpose of this study case is to know the abundance of Vibrio sp. on white leg shrimp water augmentation. Because the Vibrio sp. bacteria is known as the opportunistic pathogen of white leg shrimp, which can cause disease if the environmental conditions are bad. Working methods used is descriptive method of data collection techniques include primary and secondary data. The stage of the monitoring activity include: (1) Preparation phase which includes the preparation of equipment and materials and sterilization equipment and media. (2) Phase of making trisalt solvent and bacterial culture media. (3) Phase of retrieval and delivery the water samples. (4) Phase planting the water samples. (5) Phase counting the bacteria. (6) Interpretation the results of the calculation. Based on the results of monitoring the abundance of bacteria in white leg shrimp water augmentation activity, the conclusion is the abundance of Vibrio sp. on white leg shrimp water augmentation has exceeds the minimum threshold number of bacteria that is 104 CFU/ml, so the white leg shrimp culture is susceptible againts these Vibriosis disease.

Abstract

Abstract The efforts of the catfish hatchery fish are generally confined to the central areas of hatchery that has abundant water resources. Solving the problem of limited water, appears a catfish hatchery system with a closed recirculation system. In such systems the process of biological filtration is the most important thing. It shows the handling of organic materials by utilizing the degrading bacteria is the key to successful management of the system. Thus necessary to be studied the role of bacteria degrading organic matter indigen (local bacteria) in the closed hatchery recirculation system of catfish. This study aimed to obtain bacterial strains degrading bacteria indigen as organic materials are very useful in improving water quality in the closed hatchery recirculation system of catfish and knowing the methods to the use of bacteria indigen as degrading organic matter. The method used in this study was designed based on the stages of research carried out in accordance with the objectives to be achieved. The results of the isolation and identification to the species level showed Pseudomonas stutzeri and Pseudomonas pseudomallei obtain the greatest value for hydrolysis index representing each trait protease, lipase and amylase. Bioremediation effectiveness test in vitro showed effective results in the treatment using consortia of bacteria inoculant. Consortia of bacteria inoculant effective in improving the growth rate and survival rate (SR) in the closed hatchery recirculation system of catfish.

Abstract

Abstract Indonesia has a lot of potential marine ecosystem and fisheries, this condition make some many Indonesian get a occupation to be fisherman. However, that is make a problem during his fishing activity, so we have to make some sophisticated technology to support that is activity. At the time, remote sensing technology is the answer for they problem, it is because of that is technology fisherman can be improvement they catcher with more efficient. Determination of fishly ground area by remote sensing technology has some stage before arranging layout Fishly Ground Area Estimation (FGAE) map. Procedure to arranging are respectively data searching, data processing, and data analysis, and the last stage is composing of layout of FGAE map. The main purpose of this study is to know about catching area at Bali straits based on image satellite with creating layout of FGAE map. This study doing descriptive method. At the PDPI making process, the chlorophyl-a data and sea surface temperature getting important parameter, which temperature is the main to parameter to understand of front area and upwelling which is have a lot of nutrient composition. In the other hand, chlorophyl-a is also parameter to know of prosperity area. The data of current, wind speed, wave, and sea surface level are important component as supporting data that will be help to fisherman on determination of fishing ground area at helping fisherman in catching activity.

Abstract

Abstract One method to monitor the water quality is with macrobenthos studies. Motility of macrobenthos is very rare that more showed the characteristics of an environment. The aim of this study was to know the composition distribution in the region macrobenthos of Perancak estuarine for monitoring the condition of estuaries in the region. The method used is a descriptive method of data collection. Monitoring of macrobenthos distribution includes several stages such as stage of the survey and ground check, preparation tools and materials, taking physical and chemical parameters in the field, the separation and identification of samples and the last is the data analysis. The results of this monitoring showed characteristic macrobenthos of Perancak estuarine region consists of group annelids, crustaceans, gastropods and bivalves. Diversity index (H ') may be early prediction of the environmental quality of Perancak estuarine (bio-monitoring) showed there were distinct differences in contamination concentration at each station from severe to mild category.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to know the abundance of fish larvae in neap and tide condition in estuary of Pilang Sari river, Pidodo Kulon village, Kendal. This research is case study where the fish larvae that been caught was deeply observed in the limited time, place and population. Sample was taken in the three place. Data were collected used seine net when the neap and tide of sea level. The number of fish larva that been caught during the research are 12.983. Including from 8 genus are Stolephorus, Ambassis, Periapthalmus, Gerres, Leiognathus, Terapon, Atherinomarus. The composition of fish larvae that been caught when neap and tide was dominated by Stolephorus and Ambassis. When the new moon phase, the number of fish larvae that been caught is 1151, quarter moon is 2379, full moon is 5243 and three–quarters of the moon is 4110 fish larvae. The result of this research shows the relationship between the pattern of tide and amount of the fish larvae that been caught every moon phase. In the sping tide pattern, amount of the fish larvae that been caught was bigger than neap tide pattern. In commonly, fish larvae that been caught when the tide is bigger than abundance of fish larva that caught when the water was neap.
