Abstract

Coastal waters of Tangerang Regency has abundant in fish resource including pelagic, demersal, and reef fish. This study was conducted to assess fish biomass variability and of fish community structure in coastal waters of Tangerang Regency which can be used as a basis in determining alternatives for sustainable fish resource management. This research was conducted in June and August 2013 in three locations i.e., Kronjo, Cituis, and Tanjung Pasir. Primary data collected were fish weight per species. Fish biomass from each locations was obtained using swept area method using trawl. The results showed that Kronjo region contained the highest total average biomass of fish. Temporally, total ave-rage biomass of fish in August was higher than in June for Kronjo and Cituis. Meanwhile, the con-trary occurred in Tanjung Pasir. This conditions occurred due to the high current and high wave in August than in June. In general, biomass of planktivorous was dominant during the study indicating overfishing lead to fishing down the food web in the Coastal waters of Tangerang Regency. Keywords: biomass, coastal waters of Tangerang Regency, spatial and temporal variability, swept area, over fishing.

Abstract

Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan salah satu komoditas menjajikan yang bernilai tinggi. Budidaya udang vaname saat ini biasa menggunakan sistem intensif yang mana dapat mengakibatkan masalah lingkungan air budidaya kolam itu sendiri seperti limbah organik yang dihasilkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aplikasi POC (Pupuk Organik Cair) pada persiapan kolam pembesaran budidaya udang vaname terhadap pertumbuhan, rasio konversi pakan, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan, dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup udang vaname. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Instalasi Budidaya Air Payau Prigi, Trenggalek, Provinsi Jawa Timur pada Desember 2019 – Januari 2020. Metode kerja yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pengambilan data meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa udang mengalami pertumbuhan sebesar 1,67-4,33 gram/hari dan selalu mengalami kenaikan. Nilai  FCR yaitu 1,6 dan EPP 62,5%. Tingkat kelulushidupan sebesar 51,3%. Rentang suhu selama penelitian berkisar 29°C-30,5°C sedangkan untuk pH berkisar antara 5,4-8, rata-rata nilai DO yaitu 4,86 mg/L, dan untuk salinitas berkisar antara 13-29 ppt.Keyword : pertumbuhan, kualitas air, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, pupuk organik cair.

Abstract

Green mussel (Perna viridis) is a fishery food that is often consumed by the community because the price is relatively affordable. This animal has the potential to be used because it has a large population, but one of the problems in Indonesian waters, especially Kenjeran Beach, is that it contains Pb metal. Consuming green mussels with Pb levels will interfere with body health, so it is necessary to take action to reduce the Pb metal content in green mussels, one of which is using citric acid. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of soaking green mussel meat in citric acid with different concentrations on the reduction of Pb heavy metal levels. This research is a laboratory experimental with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 different treatments of immersion concentration in citric acid (0 , 0.21 , 0.25 and 0.29 M). The results showed that the immersion of green mussel meat in citric acid with concentrations of 0.21 , 0.25 and 0.29 M had a significant effect on the reduction of heavy metal lead (Pb) after immersion in citric acid at a concentration of 0.29 M is 0.1120 ppm, 0.25 M is 0.1167 ppm and 0.21 M is 0.1160 ppm. Soaking green mussels in citric acid with different concentrations did not affect the yield value of green mussel meat.

Abstract

Udang vannamei merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan yang bernilai ekonomis penting. Tingginya permintaan terhadap udang vannamei menyebabkan pentingnya kegiatan budidaya. Namun adanya berbagai permasalahan pada budidaya udang vannamei menyebabkan diperlukannya suatu teknologi untuk meningkatkan produksi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengaplikasikan penyediaan probiotik, aplikasi immunostimulan, dan pengukuran kualitas air di tambak yang ada di Desa Pangkah Wetan dan Pangkahkulon, Kecamatan Ujung Pangkah, Kabupaten Gresik sebagai upaya untuk peningkatan produksi hasil panen tambak udang vannamei. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli-Agustus 2019. Metode kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan, peragaan, diskusi, dan demoplot di lapangan. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah anggota kelompok mitra berpartisipasi aktif dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Materi yang diberikan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan melindungi udang dari penyakit, menjaga kualitas air, dan menekan kematian udang untuk peningkatan produksi. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa kondisi suhu di tambak kelompok mitra yaitu 320C, kecerahan 50 cm, warna air kecoklatan, dan pH 7.

Abstract

Abstract: The Hamilton’s anchovy (Thryssa hamiltonii Gray, 1835) is one of main target species in Indonesian small pelagic fishery. This engraulids member is characterized by short lifespan and fast reproductive cycle. The research aims were to explore the reproduction aspects of the females Hamilton’s anchovy in terms of changes in length at first maturity, spawning seasons, and fecundity as well as egg diameter as reproductive output. Fish was collected weekly during 2009 at fish landing site at Gebang Mekar, Cirebon. The fish was length measured, after which ovaries staged for gonadal maturity stage (GMS), fecundity, and eggs diameter. Length frequency data was all linked to this reproductive aspects. The results showed that Lm was 171.5 ± 1.62 mm, comparable to annual calculation of 171.05 ± 0.01 mm, Lc largely tend to smaller than Lm which indicated to unsustainable fishing. Fish spawns monthly with fecundity range between 3,456 – 15,843 (8,261 ± 2,776 eggs), it might be categorized as high fecundity fish relative to its body size. The distribution of eggs diameter showed 2-3 modus, i.e. they are partial spawner fish. The discrepancies in reproductive ouput is suggested to be influenced by seasons which characterized by different environmental conditions. Keywords: Hamilton’s anchovy, females, length, spawning, reproductive output

Abstract

Udang vaname merupakan komoditas perikanan yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi. Namun terdapat permasalahan dalam budidaya udang vaname yaitu penurunan produksi akibat penurunan kualitas air dan serangan penyakit. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman terkait manajemen budidaya udang vaname yang baik melalui penerapan probiotik dan imunostimulan, cara aklimatisasi benih yang benar, pengukuran kualitas air, serta analisis usaha budidaya udang yang baik sebagai upaya peningkatan produksi udang vaname di Desa Pangkah Wetan Ujung Pangkah Gresik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-September 2021. Kelompok mitra kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Persatuan Tani Tambak Pangkah Wetan dan Pokdakan Mina Tambak Bahari di Desa Pangkah Wetan, Kecamatan Ujung Pangkah, Kabupaten Gresik Provinsi Jawa Timur. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan metode hybrid yaitu secara daring dan luring. Pada kesempatan tersebut mitra sangat antusias dalam mengikuti setiap kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengaplikasikan metode mempercepat dan sinkronisasi kematangan dan pemijahan ikan hias air tawar melalui kombinasi pemberian pakan dan manipulasi lingkungan. Metode kegiatan adalah penyuluhan dan diskusi, pelatihan, praktek dan demoplot serta pendampingan berkelanjutan. Kelompok mitra PKM adalah Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan (Pokdakan) Rasbora 15 dan Mina Jam 3 di Desa Karang Sentul, Kecamatan Gondang Wetan, Kabupaten Pasuruan, Propinsi Jawa Timur. Ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang diberikan adalah metode peningkatan kualitas produksi budidaya ikan hias. Semangat dan motivasi kelompok mitra sangat tinggi dan antusias dalam menerima pengetahuan dan mengaplikasikan teknologi yang diberikan.

Abstract

Banjarejo Village River close by in a way direct with aquaculture areas so that the main water source used for irrigate pond originate from river water. Problems in the Banjarejo Village River is lack of management waste domestic nor waste activity agriculture can influence water quality and existence phytoplankton. Therefore that's the goal study this for know composition type, abundance, diversity, uniformity and dominance phytoplankton in rivers as material information management pond traditional and River. Taking sample done month December 2023 and January 2024 at time morning, afternoon and evening. Research sites found 3 stations. The main parameters observed covers abundance, diversity, uniformity and dominance phytoplankton. Meanwhile, the supporting parameters in the form of bulk data rain and water quality. Composition results type phytoplankton found in the Banjarejo Village River as many as 17 genera from 4 classes phytoplankton (Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae and Xanthophyceae). The value of abundance phytoplankton in the river flow in Banjarejo Village in the month December and January are included in type waters mesotrophic, index diversity medium, index even uniformity, and index dominance show that no there is a genus that dominates. Brightness, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite values in December and January overall exceeded the maximum limit. As for the test results of other parameters like temperature, DO, pH, salinity and phosphate still in optimal category for growth phytoplankton.

Abstract

Lead (Pb) from batik dyeing waste that is thrown into the environment can pollute the environment so it needs processing before being thrown into the environment. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of green mussel shells as an adsorbent with different concentrations on reducing Pb heavy metal contamination in batik dyeing waste and to determine the optimal concentration of green mussel shells to reduce Pb heavy metal contamination in batik dyeing waste. The research method used was experimental with 4 treatments with different concentrations of green mussel shell ash as an adsorbent (0, 10, 20, and 30%). The results of the research showed that a green mussel shell ash concentration of 30% was the best concentration because it was able to reduce Pb levels in batik dyeing waste by 68.52%. Characterization of green mussel shell ash includes average pore radius (10.674 nm), total pore volume (0.005 cc/g), and surface area (0.969 m2/g).
