Abstract

Catfish (Clarias batrachus) is one of the main commodities in Indonesia's freshwater aquaculture industry. Accurate monitoring of fish growth and population is crucial to improving production efficiency and sustainability. Conventional methods such as physical weighing are often inefficient and may cause stress to the fish. Therefore, hydroacoustic technology offers a promising alternative due to its non-invasive nature and ability to provide real-time data. This study aims to estimate the Target Strength (TS) of catfish using hydroacoustic methods with a SIMRAD EK15 instrument under controlled environmental conditions. The measurements were conducted in a test tank where physical parameters such as temperature, salinity, and water clarity were maintained consistently to ensure reliable results. The experiment involved 13 catfish of various sizes, with body lengths ranging from 8.1 cm to 19.3 cm and weights from 4 to 37 grams. The measured TS values ranged from -64.81 dB to -59.89 dB. The results indicated a positive correlation between TS and both fish length and weight, suggesting that larger fish produced stronger acoustic backscatter signals. This study provides a valuable foundation for the application of hydroacoustic methods in catfish population surveys, both in controlled environments and natural waters. The findings can be adapted to support more efficient and sustainable fish farming practices through real-time, technology-based monitoring systems.

Abstract

Regional development in the modern era faces major challenges in maintaining a balance between economic growth, social welfare, and environmental sustainability. Uncontrolled development activities often lead to ecological degradation, necessitating an environmentally-conscious development management model. This study aims to examine regional development management strategies based on Village Community Health Development (PKMD) by emphasising the role of institutions, community participation, and cross-sector collaboration in supporting environmental sustainability. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), participatory observation, and documentation studies, then analysed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, & Saldaña. The results of the study show that the success of PKMD is determined by three main aspects: first, the application of an integrated operational approach through cross-sectoral, multidisciplinary, and educational synergies; second, the transformation of the role of community health centres from health service providers to catalysts for social innovation; and third, active community participation that gives rise to self-help initiatives, such as the management of the Village Waste Bank. However, challenges remain in the form of weak cross-sector coordination, low environmental literacy, and limited funding sources. The implications of this study reinforce the theory of systems thinking and the Health in All Policies (HiAP) paradigm, as well as emphasising the importance of participatory-collaborative development governance. In practical terms, the results of this study encourage the strengthening of cross-sector coordination forums, capacity building of community health centres (Puskesmas) on environmental issues, and diversification of financing through CSR and green financing. Abstract

This research is motivated by students in elementary schools who lack critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to find out how to influence and improve students' critical thinking skills after using the Problem Based Learning model for fifth grade students at SD Negeri Jelekong, Kp Ninerang, Jelekong Village, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023. Therefore the researcher was interested and took the title "The Influence of the Problem Based Learning Model in Improving the Critical Thinking Ability of Fifth Grade Students at Jelekong Elementary School." This study used a quantitative research type with a quasi-experimental method and nonequivalent control group design. On theme 8, sub-theme 3. The population used was all fifth grade students at SD Negeri Uglyong. VA class as the control class and VB class as the experimental class. Both classes will be given an initial test (pretest) and a final test (posttest). In this study using a test instrument in the form of multiple choice of 20 questions. The results of pretest data processing in the control class obtained an average of 55.17 with a standard deviation of 13.357 and the control class obtained an average value of 58.33 with a standard deviation of 16.522. The results of the posttest for the experimental class obtained a value of 83.67 with a standard deviation of 7.980 and the control class obtained a value of 56.00 with a standard deviation of 17.636. For the results of hypothesis testing using the t test obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000. So it can be concluded that the ability of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

The use of hydroacoustic surveys simultaneously with trawl swept area is expected to complement and increase the accuracy each other in estimation of the fish stock resources, especially demersal fish. Therefore, advantages and disadvantages of each method will be disclosed. The purpose of this study was to compare the density of demersal fish from detection of hydroacoustic surveys toward catches of bottom trawl, and to determine the factors that influence differences in fish density estimated of swept area and acoustic method. The study was conducted on May, August and November 2012 around Tarakan waters, North Borneo, using echo sounder Simrad EY60-120 kHz and bottom trawl simultaneously to measure density of demersal fish. Demersal fish density estimation of the two methods showed a highly significant difference. Difference in the estimation of fish density was affected by catchability, dead zone area of trawling, and fish behavior.

Abstract

Indonesia is ranked 60th out of 61 countries in terms of reading interest according to the results of the World's Most Literate Nations Ranked research conducted by John W. Miller on 16 March 2016. Based on observation and research with the fifth grade teacher of SD Negeri Cikoneng, students find it difficult to learn literacy because they have to read slowly, lack of interest in books other than Thematic, and lack of motivation. The study aims to determine the application, effect, and improvement of Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book in improving Students' Reading Literacy assisted by Scouting Actualisation Model at SD Negeri Cikoneng. The research was conducted through a quantitative approach using the Quasi-Experiment method and the type of non-equivalent control group design with the object of research being grade V students in the 2022/2023 school year of SD Negeri Cikoneng. The research population was 25 male students and 31 female students and the research sample was 26 class A students as an experimental class with 12 boys and 14 girls and 30 class B students as a control class with 13 boys and 17 girls. The results showed that in the application of Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book Media to improve Student Reading Literacy assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model at Cikoneng State Elementary School, students were able to read science and technology encyclopedia books. This is evidenced by the Mann Whitney U test score of 0.195. The results showed that there was an effect of science and technology encyclopedia book to improve students' reading literacy assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model. This is evidenced by the results of the Mann Whitney U test score of 0.195. Then the results showed a moderate increase in students' reading literacy towards the Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model. This is evidenced by the N-Gain test of 0.62342440 or 62% increase in the experimental class and the Effect Size test resulted in a value of 0.244044919 which is in the medium category. Overall, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence in the use of the Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model on increasing student reading literacy. Through the Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book, students can apply and deepen their understanding of the material studied and is an effective approach to improving student reading literacy at SD Negeri Cikoneng.

Abstract

This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to map the global research trends on organizational culture within educational organizations. The analysis identifies a significant growth in scholarly publications on this subject, indicating an escalating academic interest over time. The research output is geographically concentrated, with the United States, the United Kingdom, and Indonesia emerging as the predominant contributors to the literature. Through the examination of these publications, the study delineates the central themes and evolving trends that characterize the current discourse on organizational culture in the educational sector. The findings suggest a dynamic field of study with diverse areas ripe for further investigation. This work not only provides a valuable overview of the existing research landscape but also serves as a guide for future scholarly endeavors in understanding the complexities of organizational culture in educational settings.

Abstract

This literature review synthesizes recent empirical research on distributed leadership and its impact on schools, with a focus on student achievement, teacher outcomes, and organizational effectiveness. A narrative review approach was used to provide a thematic synthesis of findings and theoretical developments. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database using the search strings TITLE (distributed AND leadership) AND TITLE (school), yielding 197 peer-reviewed journal articles. After applying inclusion criteria focusing on English-language publications and journal articles, 35 studies were selected for in-depth qualitative analysis. The review differentiates between structural and functional distributed leadership and finds that a functional approach emphasizing collaboration and shared decision-making produces more consistently positive outcomes. Evidence suggests that distributed leadership improves student performance and teacher professional growth through mediating factors such as teacher collaboration, organizational trust, and professional learning communities. However, challenges remain, including unclear role boundaries, resistance to authority changes, and cultural barriers within hierarchical school systems. The review highlights the need for context-sensitive implementation supported by professional development and a collaborative organizational culture. Future research should expand longitudinal and cross-cultural studies to better understand how distributed leadership develops over time and operates in diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) yang terjadi akibat dinamika ekonomi dan perubahan struktur dunia kerja berdampak signifikan terhadap meningkatnya pengangguran dan menurunnya kesejahteraan masyarakat di tingkat kelurahan. Kelurahan Mekar Wangi Kota Bogor merupakan salah satu wilayah yang masyarakatnya terdampak PHK dan memerlukan upaya pemberdayaan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan ekonomi kreatif sebagai alternatif sumber penghasilan bagi masyarakat terdampak PHK melalui pemanfaatan potensi lokal dan peningkatan kreativitas masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan dan potensi masyarakat, penyuluhan mengenai konsep ekonomi kreatif, pelatihan praktik keterampilan, serta pendampingan dalam pengemasan produk dan pemasaran sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi peserta dalam mengembangkan usaha ekonomi kreatif, serta meningkatnya kepercayaan diri untuk memulai usaha mandiri. Program ini diharapkan mampu mendorong kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Mekar Wangi Kota Bogor dan menjadi model pemberdayaan ekonomi kreatif yang dapat diterapkan di wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

This study is based on the problems found in the fifth grade of SD Negeri Rahayu, namely: (1) students' tolerance is still low; (2) the social studies learning process still takes place in a classical manner (Teacher Center); and (3) lack of utilization of learning models / methods. Thus the purpose of this study are: (1) to describe how the activities of students in learning the tolerance attitude of ethnic diversity and culture by applying the method of role playing; and (2) to describe an increase in the ability of tolerance of class V students by applying the role playing method in learning. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the design of the Kemmis and MC models. Taggart is carried out for two cycles starting from the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were class V SD Negeri Rahayu 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 28 students. The instruments used to collect data in this study are: (1) observation sheet; and (2) questionnaire. The results of the study showed that: (1) in general the activities of fifth grade students in learning Social Sciences regarding the tolerance attitude of ethnic and cultural diversity experienced positive development. This is based on the average activity of students in the first cycle, which is 56% and in the second cycle increases to 90%; and (2) in general the increase in tolerance of ethnic groups and the culture of class V students by using the role playing method in learning Social Sciences experienced positive development. This is based on N-Gain data in cycle I, o, 38 and in cycle II it increases to 0.58. The percentage completeness data obtained in the first cycle is 86%, after reflecting and following up on cycle II it increases very well to 100%.
