Abstract

Latar Belakang. Pada tahun 1984, Ramanathan melaporkan 55% pada pasien kusta mengalami psychiatric disorders. Chaterjee et al (1989) menemukan 64,7% pasien kusta mengalami psychiatric disorders.

Abstract

Introduction. Stroke is a sortie that occurs in the brain that involves blood vessels in the brain (blockage or cracked) and finally manifests in a various of symptoms (starting from paralysis, interference of swallowing and speaking, etc.). This disease is differentiated into ischemic-infarct strokes and hemorrhagic strokes. In Indonesia, this disease has increased from 7% to 10.9%. It indicates that stroke is a disease that is quite dangerous and needs an appropriate handling or rehabilitation.Objective. This study aims to collect and analyze articles relating to the effectiveness of acupuncture therapy as a stroke management.Method. Search for journal articles is done electronically by using several databases, namely DOAJ, PubMed and Google Scholar with the keywords "Acupunture for post stroke" for international journals, whereas for national journals using the Google Scholar search engine with the keyword "Acupuncture therapy in post-stroke patients", the journal sought is an intervention journal with PICO frame work criteria (Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). From the results of the review there were 5 journals that were relevant to the topic. The journal consists of 3 international journals and 2 national journals, the next step is to review the five journals.Results. Acupuncture therapy is effective for improving post-stroke rehabilitation. This therapy is giving a puncture to Meridian Yang Ming to facilitate the flow of the Ci-Meridian. In this meridian there is a complicated connection system called acupoints (acupuncture points) that binds or relates to various functions of the body and organs. In stroke patients, due to some nerve pathways have been closed it is difficult to maintain the opened circulation. With stimulation of acupuncture at some acupuncture points, it opens the blood vessels and improves the blood flow. Based on the results obtained from the research, acupuncture is quite effective in handling the rehabilitation of stroke patients. In order to feel the results optimally, stroke patients are recommended not only to do the acupuncture therapy. But also the other therapeutic activities.Discussion. The results of this test provide a general picture in the intervention group, that acupuncture therapy interventions can open up blood vessels so that the various effects or complications of stroke disease can be decreased.Conclusion. Acupuncture thrapy is effective for the successful rehabilitation of post-stroke patients..

Abstract

Various complaints can occur during menstruation, one of which is dysmenorrhoea. Primary dysmenorrhoea is painless during menstruation without pathology, resulting from endometrium containing high amounts of prostaglandins. The estimated rate of dysmenorrhoea occurrence in adolescents 20% - 90%. About 15% of adolescents report severe menstrual pain. This can disrupt daily activities. High incidence of dysmenorrhoea is the reason not to go to school or college, few who seek treatment and only seek treatment independently. Medical intervention in primary dysmenorrhoea such as massage technique using lavender essential oil. Lavender as an essential oil has several benefits: reducing pain, antidepressants, and antimicrobials. Objective: The purpose of this study was to review some literature on massage using lavender essential oil to reduce the intensity of dysmenorrhoea pain in adolescents. Methods: Journal article searches are conducted electronically over the period 2008 - 2017, using multiple databases: Google Scholar, Sage, and ScienceDirect databases. Keywords used are "Primary dysmenorrhea / Dysmenorrhoea", "Lavender", and "Massage / Massage"; so get 3 articles to be reviewed. Results: Complementary nursing massage interventions using lavender essential oils can be categorized as safe and effective interventions in dealing with primary dysmenorrhoea. Discussion: The use of complementary nursing methods with a massage using lavender essential oil is effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescents. Complementary nursing methods with massage use should be further promoted and implemented as a treatment in primary dysmenorrhoea. Conclusion: The massage using lavender essential oil can reduce the intensity of pain in primary dysmenorrhoea.

Abstract

Introduction : Stroke is a sudden attack that occurs in the brain involving blood vessels in the brain (clogged or ruptured) and eventually manifests in various symptoms (starting from paralysis, difficulty speaking / slurred, swallowing disorders, and so on). This disease is divided into ischemic-infarction stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. In Indonesia, this disease has increased from 7% to 10.9%. This indicates that stroke is a disease that is quite dangerous and requires appropriate treatment or rehabilitation.Method: The search for journal articles was conducted electronically using several databases, namely DOAJ, PubMed and Google Scholar with the keyword "Acupunture for post stroke" for international journals, while for national journals using the Google Scholar search engine with the keywords "Acupuncture therapy for patients. post-stroke”, the journal sought is an intervention journal with the PICO frame work criteria (Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). From the results of the review, there were 5 journals that were relevant to the topic. The journal consists of 3 international journals and 2 national journals, the next step is to review the five journals.Result: Acupuncture therapy was effective to improve post-stroke rehabilitation. This therapy involves puncturing the Yang Ming Meridian to facilitate the flow of the Ci-Meridian. In these meridians there is an intricate system of connections called acupoints (acupuncture points) that bind or relate to various body functions and organs. In stroke patients, because some of the neural pathways have closed it is difficult to keep the circulation open. With acupuncture stimulation at some acupuncture points will open blood vessels and improve blood flow. based on the results obtained from these researchers that acupuncture is quite effective in the treatment of rehabilitation of stroke patients. In order to get maximum results, stroke patients are recommended not only to do acupuncture therapy. But also perform other therapeutic activities. Conclusion :Acupuncture therapy is effective on the success of post-stroke patient rehabilitation.
