Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' problem-solving abilities on geometry material based on Van Hiele's level of thinking in class VIII of SMPN 2 Wanasaba in the 2020/2021 school year. The method used in this study are tests and interviews. The results showed that the thinking level of students in class VIII D of SMP Negeri 2 Wanasaba was generally dominant at level 0 (visualization), as many as 13 people (48.14%) of the 27 students who took the test. In solving geometry problems according to Polya's stages, students who are at level 0 (visualization) have been able to do the stage of understanding the problem well but are still not perfect in making plans and implementing settlement plans. Students at level 1 (analysis) have been able to carry out the stages of understanding the problem, making plans and implementing plans, but in the stage of reviewing, students are not able to re-examine the results of the completion. Students at level 2 (informal deduction) are able to carry out the stages of understanding the problem, making plans, implementing a settlement plan and looking back even though they are not perfect at the stage of looking back. Students at level 3 (deduction) have very good problem solving skills, they are able to carry out the stages of understanding the problem, making plans, implementing plans and looking back appropriately and the calculation process is also carried out correctly. This shows that the higher the Van Hiele thinking level of the students, the better their geometric problem solving abilities will be.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe how written mathematical communication skills are when This study aims to analyze and describe how written mathematical communication skills when solving algebraic questions are based on the mathematics abilities of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Mataram in the academic year 2020/2021. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The populasi in this study was 154 class VII students of SMP Negeri 16 Mataram in the academic year 2020/2021 and the number of research samples was 32 students taken by purposive sampling technique. The subject selection technique is based on the results of the written mathematical communication ability test, 9 subjects will be analyzed from 32 students. Each category of mathematical communication ability has 3 students. There are 3 students in each category of mathematical communication skills. The aspects of written mathematical communication skills, namely writing text, drawing, and symbolic. Based on the results of data analysis obtained, it can be concluded, (i) The ability of mathematical communication in the aspect of writing texts, high-ability students are in good category, namely students can write down information that is known and asked, students can write down ideas when solving problems correctly. Meanwhile, students with moderate and low abilities are categorized as sufficient, that is, some of the students can write down the information that is known and asked completely. And students can write down ideas in solving problems. (ii) In the drawing aspect, students with high and moderate abilities are categorized as good, namely students can express problems in the form of pictures correctly and completely. Meanwhile, students who have low ability in the aspect of drawing are categorized as sufficient, that is, students can state mathematics problems in the form of pictures accompanied by descriptions. (iii) In the symbolic aspect, students who are capable of mathematics are categorized as sufficient, namely students can use mathematics symbols when writing information that is known and asked, students can write down ideas in solving problems and students can write descriptions of pictures using mathematics symbols.

Abstract

Terdapat beberapa faktor penentu keberhasilan belajar mahasiswa di era new normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih jauh faktor-faktor penentu keberhasilan belajar mahasiswa pendidikan matematika di era new normal. Fokus penelitian ini pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar sebagai faktor-faktor penentu keberhasilan belajar mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 96 mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Mataram semester VII tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar, kemudian data prestasi belajar diambil dari IP (indeks prestasi) semester 6 tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Dilakukan uji signifikansi pengaruh variabel-variabel dependen terhadap variabel indepen secara parsial dan simultan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa dapat digambarkan melalui persamaan Y = 1,917 + 0.508 X1. Hubungan kemandirian belajar dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa dapat digambarkan melalui persamaan Y = 2,179 + 0,318 X2. Hubungan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa dapat digambarkan melalui persamaan Y = 1,482 + 0,385 X1 + 0,232 X2. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh signifikan secrara parsial maupun simultan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa di era new normal.

Abstract

This study aims to further examine the role of determining the success of learning mathematics education students in the new normal era. The focus of this research is on student learning independence that affects learning achievement. This type of research is ex post facto. The subjects in this study were 100 mathematics education students, at FKIP Mataram University in the seventh semester of the academic year 2021/2022. Data collection uses a learning independence questionnaire, then learning achievement data is taken from the 6th semester IP (achievement index) for the 2020/2021 academic year. Test the significance of the effect of the dependent variables on the independent variables partially. The results showed that the relationship between learning independence and student achievement can be described by the equation Y = 3.318 + 0.027X with a contribution of 18.1% to student achievement. The conclusion of this study is that there is a partial significant effect between independent learning and student achievement in the new normal era.

Abstract

AbstrakBerdasakan tujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan, maka penelitian ini dapat digolongkan penelitian deskriptif  kualitatif yang berupaya untuk mengetahui bagaimana profil kemampuan siswa dalam  memecahan masalah berdasarkan langkah Polya. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Labuapi yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Labuapi kabupaten Lombok Barat Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Hasil dari penelitin ini adalah profil siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi berdasarkan tahapan-tahapan Polya adalah dalam tahap  memahami masalah berkatagori sangat baik, dalam  tahapan  menyusun  rencana  berkatagori baik, dalam tahap melaksanakan rencana berkatagori baik, dan dalam tahap memeriksa kembali berkatagori baik. Abstract

Kemampuan mengkomunikasikan gagasan matematika secara tepat dan efektif merupakan salah satu tujuan dari pembelajaran matematika. Selain itu, hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematik salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Dimana kemampuan komunikasi matematis dapat mempermudah pertukaran informasi atau penyampaian gagasan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Sehingga terlihat pentingnya siswa menguasai kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Namun, siswa SMPN 4 Gerung terlihat memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah terlihat dari hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran matematika yang tergolong kurang terutama dalam mengerjakan soal berbentuk narasi dengan permasalahan sehari-hari. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan setiap tingkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Gerung tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi Relasi dan Fungsi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dimana instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tulis berupa dua butir soal uraian berbentuk soal cerita dengan materi Relasi dan Fungsi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa berdasarkan indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis yaitu,  menggambar, menulis, dan menggunakan simbol matematika dan juga instrumen berupa pedoman wawancara. Data hasil tes tulis akan diperjelas dengan wawancara semi terstruktur dan dilakukan analisis data penskoran dan pemberian kategori berdasarkan pedoman penskoran. Kemudian data yang didapat akan dianalisis berdasarkan Miles dan Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan didapat siswa berkemampuan komunikasi matematis dengan kategori rendah memiliki persentase terbanyak dan disusul berkategori sedang dan tinggi. Dimana dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tinggi sebanyak 29,63% dan mampu menguasai ketiga indikator dengan kategori tinggi. Siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis sedang sebanyak 33,33% dan mampu menguasai ketiga indikator namun tidak sempurna dengan kategori sedang. Dan siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah sebanyak 37,04% dan kurang bahkan tidak mampu menguasai ketiga indikator dengan dua kategori rendah dan indikator menggambar berkategori sedang.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the errors of the students of MTsN 2 Bima city in solving arithmetic story problems based on Newman's procedures for the 2021/2022 school year. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with written test and interview design. The population of this study were all eighth grade students of MTsN 2 Bima City for the Academic Year 2021/2022 which were distributed in eight classes. The sample class was selected for Class VII eight by giving written tests and interviews so that the criteria for students who obtained high, medium and low scores were obtained to analyze what students' mistakes were in solving the questions. As for the data collection techniques, namely observation and interviews. The analysis used is qualitative data where efforts are made by working with data, organizing data, sorting it into manageable units, synthesizing it, looking for and finding patterns, finding out what is important and what is learned, and deciding what can be done. told to others. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that students' errors in solving math story problems based on the Newman Procedure with the criteria of high-ability students, namely the highest percentage of errors were found in the error stage in writing the final answer with an error rate of 33% and the lowest error rate was at the stage of reading the problem, transformation and process skills with an error rate of 0%, then for moderately capable students, the highest percentage of errors is at the stage of understanding the problem with an error rate of 58% and for the lowest error rate there is at the stage of reading problems, transformation problems and process skills with an error rate of 0%, Finally, for low-ability students, the highest percentage of errors is at the stage of understanding the problem, while the lowest error is at the stage of reading the problem with an error rate of 0%. This shows that we can see the results of the analysis of student errors in solving math story problems on social arithmetic material based on the Newman Procedure Class VII MTsN 2 Bima City.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of self-confidence on students mathematics learning outcomes, to find out the influence of learning style on students mathematics learning outcomes, and to find out the influence of self-confidence and learning style on students mathematics learning outcomes of 8th grade SMP Negeri 2 Kediri academic year 2021/202. This type of research was ex post facto. The population of this research were all students of 8th grade as many as 55 students consisting of 2 classes, namely class VIII A and class VIII B. The sample used was a sample of saturation or total sampling where the entire population was sampled in this research. Data collection techniques in this research using questionnaire and test questions. The instrument of this research was in the form of a self-confidence questionnaire, learning style questionnaire, and a test questions of students mathematics learning outcomes of 8th grade SMP Negeri 2 Kediri. From the data analysis obtained, there was found an inflence of self-confidence on students mathematics learning effect of 8th grade SMP Negeri 2 Kediri with the coefficient of determination of 7,4%. Then for learning style there was not found an influence on students mathematics learning effect of 8th grade SMP Negeri 2 Kediri with the coefficient of determination of 0,2%. The results of data analysis also showed that there was not a significant effect between students self-confidence and learning style on students mathematics learning effect of 8th grade SMP Negeri 2 Kediri with the coefficient of determination of 7,6%.

Abstract

The class action research and scientific article writing activity was done to increase teachers’ professionalism. This training was carried out for the teachers of SDN 2 Sesela, West Lombok. The program was presented in SDN 2 Sesela in the form of workshop through discussion, question and answer session, and speech. The presentation covered class action research and its urgency for the teachers, teaching models that support free learning curriculum, making innovative instructing tools as teaching media in class. The importance of CAR scientific article writing for teachers and its publication in scientific journals. The high motivation and enthusiasm of the participants was obvious during the program. In addition, the participants’ response was positive with enthusiasm rate at 90 percent. The satisfaction rate of the teachers for this activity corresponds to the positive result of this project. Eventually, the teachers hope that further activities like in class CAR implementation will be held following this program.

Abstract

The tendency to think critically is one of the main objectives of learning in the 2013 curriculum which expects students to have character. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to determine the effect of students' critical thinking tendencies on mathematical generalization abilities in class XII students of SMA Negeri 1 Narmada Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, there are 50.0% of students categorized as very good, 28.125% of students categorized as good, and 21.875% of students categorized as good enough. And for mathematical generalization ability, there are 46.875% students categorized very well, 50.0% students are categorized as good, and 3.125% students are categorized as good enough. The conclusion of this study shows that there is a significant influence of the tendency to think critically on the generalization ability of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Narmada in the academic year of 2022/2023.
